I unfortunately have a ghost hamster too. I’ve had him a month now and only saw him the first three days. He only comes out at night when all is quiet and I’m asleep. Can you give me the exact camera you use please???
Togepi almost did it too. There are signs before they bite. They will open their mouth, narrow their eyes, show you that nasty face and lunge at you from few inches away. I just approach him slowly and act based on the situation.
togepi is so cute!! i would just advise you that you should probably prioritise scatter feeding rather than keeping the food dish. a way i see some hamster owners keep track of their ghost hamsters is by setting a small dish of vegetables or treats out once every few nights, then checking in the morning if their hamster ate any of it {:

I feel you! Togepi usually comes out after midnight… I’m using mi smart camera but I saw some bad reviews about it. A bit risky to buy one.
