From the very old to more recent burials, all open and all show the most amazing coffins.

I told my family I want to be cremated. It’s such a shame what happens when a cemetery gets neglected or abandoned. I’ll go back to dust thank you!
Happy and healthy New Year to both of you 🎉 🥂 Thanks for all your videos 👍🏻👍🏻
Happy New year 🎉
I can't wait to watch your videos. Again in the new year .....
I like the idea that my remains might be discovered centuries later. Death appears so much more natural and direct and is a completely natural thing.
This lady really knows a lot about tombs and what to look for. She is also knowledgeable about the history of the areas.
Thank you ❤️
Sue, this year has to be better! Thank you for being a bright light for your viewers. I look forward to your new walks through beautiful Ireland!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Happy new year! Please God 2024 is better for everyone x
Miss Sue you have showed us. Some of the greatest graveyards on CZcams. In my opinion you are the best on CZcams. And believe me I watch pretty much everyone on here on CZcams. That being said thank you very much and I hope you have a great 2024. I can only imagine what you'll bring out next. Thanks again from the United States.
Thank you so much, lovely comment to read, happy new year 🎉
Super video 👍 what a year it has been for us and finding some amazing locations and stories. 2024 here we come 😁
Can't wait!
Hi Sue. I hope your holidays were nice. It is very admirable as to how much time and work that you put into making these videos for your viewers pleasure. I thank you for taking this task for us. And every video also shows me the beauty of Ireland which I plan to visit some day. Once again thank you, take care and God bless you. 👍🙏🏻❤
You're very welcome as always, happy new year to you
It's criminal that there is no caretaker. Those poor families.
Unfortunately I see this slot
what a fabulous video, that you compiled
You're welcome 💖
Great video! Those stones being tossed still give me the chills 😮. Happy , healthy, prosperous 2024 to you Sue, Cathal, and the families💕

Thanks so much

Hi Malena
I still don’t understand mausoleums or vaults, nature takes everything back eventually, even stone and iron, the remains aren’t protected, and they aren’t protected from vandalism 😢 it’s so sad
Eventually everything goes back to nature
Horrifying! To use a mausoleum as a storage shed for lawnmowers, ect. So sad.
I agree
The families sure didn't build this as a landscape shed
Some shocks in this video. So sad. I am glad i did not lose anyone since 2017. Had a great Christmas happy New Year. Thanks for rhe video of 2023.
Happy for you Sally, happy new year 🎉
Amazing video you two are a great team. Beautiful history always. Happy new year
Happy new year! Thanks x
You are a brave woman
Curious, not so brave
Happy new year to you both! You all are so brave. I get twitchy just watching!! Love you guys
Happy new year!! Thank you ❤️
Just discovered you folks and I love to hear the joy in Sue's voice when she finds a coffin. Alas we've no crypts to explore here in the upper left hand corner of the US, but some fine pioneer cemeteries. Be well and stay well. Your work is appreciated. I enjoy the background you do on the sites you visit, it certainly adds to the experience.
Thanks so much ❤️
Wow ! Amazing video ! You two, are so brave to just go down to the crypt doors ! And you casually investigate. I'd be doing good just walking around the cemetery above ground. The graves /mausoleums are just so interesting ! The prison crypt , Sing Sing , is really a psychological torture chamber. I can't imagine what went through their minds. Then you found a maze to go through and more coffins. It is fascinating! Thank you so much for a great year of videos ! Hope you have a wonderful relaxing and blessed holiday !
Thanks so much happy new year 🎉
Beau Travail comme d'habitude La Famille🔬🎬🍀⛪Mes voeux Les Meilleurs🍾Alex🙏🌌

An excellent compilation of mausoleums sue top number, one coffin look like it was brand new pity the work equipment wasn’t stored elsewhere and the mausoleum used for what it was intended for.Absolutely fantastic video.Wishing you,GV,Ollie and everyone a safe, happy nd fortuitous new year,2024,👋🙏🙏👍👍🇦🇺
Many thanks, Peter happy new year to you and family
Really amazing! Under ground burial chambers are like the Egyptian pyramid burial chambers, scary to view down chambers as no previous videos have revealed this kind of mausoleum chambers..be careful to get down as the walls are seem wet may fall..totally gives thrill with goosebumps..thank you Sue..
Thanks so much ❤️
Trip down memory lane! I love it! I also appreciate how compassionate GV and yourself are about the amazing job you both do. Can't wait to see what you bring us in 2024. Happy New Year and God Bless💚 from Australia.
Happy new year, I hope its blessed
Hello from Boston Massachusetts! I love your videos
Hey, thanks!
Another great video, thank you Miss. Sue.
You are so welcome
When you’re looking at different crypts could you get dates? I would love to know the dates of all of these.
Some were unreadable but the majority were mid 1800s to early 1900s
some people may find this morbid, but I find it fascinating. you got some amazing shots. I used to love walking around graveyards. sadly I can't do that anymore due to health reasons. well done x
Thank you, I'm sorry you're having health issues, don't forget to subscribe, I have lots here
I have subscribed. still here watching more videos, it's past midnight, I'm a night owl lol. 😊 x

Great video Sue. That last clip was unbelievable! I have watched quite a number of 'graveyard' videos from different people in different parts of the world and in my opinion, Serenity Sue and Grave Visitations.... You guys are the best.... You are my favourites anyway ❤️. I love all the old graveyards and churches in Ireland and you make each video so interesting for the viewer, making sure that we see everything that you see. Thank you, thank you. P. S. I love your banter too lol.

Hope you two have an amazing new year. I love all of your videos I used to follow a lot of grave yard exploration. You two are the best I can’t wait to see what you have for the new year.
Happy new year! Thank you
Can anyone explain to me the concept of mausoleums? I expect they're absurdly expensive, much more than a regular burial anyway, and all so that the coffin can just sit there, like a crate in a warehouse. Burial or cremation make sense to me because they're both part of the process of decomposition, and returning of one's earthly remains to, well, the earth. Why would anyone want to delay or prevent that process by essentially just storing the remains in a vault? Is there some cultural or spiritual aspect that I'm missing here?
Yes they are expensive especially in past centuries. However, today you are acquiring a lot, a vault and a headstone in one purchase, so they can be less expensive if you desire a traditional burial. Mausoleum burial was considered a status symbol. I speak as a retired undertaker.
@@martinham1409Well said. Thank you.
Read the books of or view the videos by Caitlin Doughty "ask a mortician." She gives excellent information of many different cultures and an interesting, sometimes amusing way.

Love your channel.

Great video Sue! It really blows my mind on how good of condition the coffins are in the beginning of the vid. A couple look like new!!! That stone tossed is creepy and chills the spine a little bit. You can see the ceiling that there is nothing that large up there to just fall off! It had to be thrown or tossed in front of you. Happy New Year to you both! ~ Wally
Thanks Wally ❤️
Sorry I missed the live, Sue!! I have yet another cold!!🤧🤧

@@SerenitySueGraveyards Thanks, lovely!! XXXX 🤗💞💚
@SerenitySueGraveyards Hi Sue. After watching your video about the treatment of the Cornelius O'Callaghan mausoleum, I wrote an email complaint to the appropriate church authority. I don't know if any action was taken as I got no response.
That thrown stone is still freaky. It looked like it was thrown down, not just fallen, it was a different buff color, and there weren’t any dark holes in the ceiling. Spooky!
It still has me questioning what was happening here
Possible poltergeist activity?
@maverickhistorian6488 I hope not
Your examination of theses crips ever help in motivating people to fix them up . Maybe repair coffins or new ones . Weather any family members are alive or not. Someone hast to care out of respect. It’s all we got of our fellow man. 😢
I agree, they need some love and attention but I hope we have remembered them at least before completely forgotten
Fantastic premiere. Your content is top notch and this video is proof
Much appreciated!
I like your videos. I live in US and feel out of place. Europe is so beautiful. Should have moved when young. Old now. I think the decay is natural and beautiful in its own way. As long as nobody steals remains or anything else. You seemed to have stirred up a spirit or two. That was a big stone that was dropped or thrown. I think spirits like to play if they aren't busy. Boo!
I agree, some spirits will try to contact you we've had a lot of voices heard in our videos
Buenísimo resumen para terminar el año. Happy new year Susan and GV🎉🎉
Happy new year Juan 🎉
Now … the story why you have sometime few coffins but one name on the cross, is because during wars, sometimes grave diggers would dump the dead’s in any places available until they knew who was the dead body … Sometimes they would forget about them cause they weren’t registered on any books to know in what grave they were dumped in, and sometimes they wouldn’t know who was there, so since it was an available place … it stood there. This is why sometimes it is possible to find a perfect strangers coffin in a family vault.
In Westerham in our family vault we had someone buried with my old granny … but we never knew who it was. We had this person removed from it when my great aunt passed away because we needed the place. We knew someone was there previously but at the time we left it there until as explained below. Beside we were told all that story from the cemetery guards and the priest at that time.
That's very interesting, imagine having someone in beside you and you've no idea who
Absolutely 👍
Hi there sue and GV thanks for the great information you have given us your work is so interesting. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you both a very Happy New year

Love your stroll along the beach! Love your channel.
We live 10min from the beach and it's amazing. Thank you, happy new year
As ever an amazing colletion of videos thank you. I am sure you are aware that apparent damage to lead lined coffins is due to the gases released during decomposition causing an explosion. Current practice is to insert a one way valve on the lead surface, allowing gases to escape but no outside air. A very happy new year to you both!
I guessed as did others in the comments that maybe it was gasses, kinda sad really to see but always interesting too. Happy New year

Wonderful, educationally and sad. Brought tears to my eyes. But do you perhaps feel that you are disturbing the dead or taking something home with you? You are brave indeed. Very interesting. May God rest their souls.
I don't feel like I'm disturbing them, more like we visit and take a peep if we can. We always say a prayer before or after our videos. Thanks so much, happy new year
No it's just remains
That's all
Hi Sue! Yes I am watching this video again. As you know, I am from America. Sing Sing state prison in New York got its name from the community where it’s located. The community is called Ossining. So they called it Sing Sing. I once was at sing sing to transport a convict to the federal penitentiary where I worked at. He was. “ problem child “ so they transferred him to us. We were good at dealing with those type😂. Take care and God bless you. 👍❤🙏🏻
🤣🤣 thank you, God Bless
Sue your doing such a great job

I can't believe how many were packed into that first mausoleum. Also I really want to get you a better light that doesn't focus into a square.
The square is great for things to zoom into, other than that when it's zoomed out it's an amazing torch.

Totally enjoyed this awesome video. I know that some people may have reservations about being close to the dead, but the way I see it is that the dead can't really harm you, only the living can. Therefore visiting places such as these are very interesting and informative, to say the least. Would i like to go inside and visit these places. Why of course i would in a minute. It's amazing that these crypts even exist and are in as good shape as they are. Thanks very much for sharing this super awesome video friends. Stay safe and keep up the great work, for your time is greatly appreciated.
I really appreciate your comment Norman, not many like taking a look but I am different. It's no harm once you are respectful to the dead

I totally agree with you there friend. You guys showed the utmost care and respect for the areas that you visited and were very helpful in identifying your awesome finds. I'm sure that the individuals who are in these areas would be proud of the special way in which you identified their existence. Thanks again for taking time to share this awesome video with us. Have an excellent week ahead friends.
I am so furious that these remains have been left to rot with no dignity.
I've seen it many times unfortunately. There is no care once family are gone. I'm not too sad if its natural decay but I hate seeing them flooded
Happy New Year Serenity Sue, been a crazy year on the US and I'm sure we will have another one in 2024. Lost a cherished loved one this year, she was only 30 killed by a drunken driver. Life moves forward for the living..
I'm so sorry to hear that, just terribly sad. We lost a very close family member in August. Its very hard but like you say, life certainly moves on and the world keeps turning. We just got to keep going. Please God next year will be better, happy new year
So sorry for your loss.
