As someone who's allergic to bananas - this makes me so happy! Trying this on Sunday. :)
Woohoo! There are plenty of vegan banana pancake recipes out there already, and honestly I prefer the texture of pancakes without🤗 Hope you love them!
I love that you made such fluffy pancakes with quinoa flour! So incredible! And this music is SO fun. I am literally dancing while waiting in line haha
Haha spontaneous dance is always a good sign, thanks Nisha :)
I'm loving how jazzy this video is, along with how to the point all your videos are 👏👏
Yay for new music, I like this one too :) Thank you!
I LOVE YOU!!! No coconut, no oats no nothing that my body dislikes! I can substitute the applesauce for sweet potato/pumpkin puree, or mashed bananas! Which applesauce do you use, and if you make it yourself, where can I get the recipe? Thanks!
Woohoo! I'm so happy to hear it. You could use pumpkin puree or mashed banana in place of the applesauce, although mashed banana may make them a bit less fluffy so pumpkin would be better. I don't recommend sweet potato, too thick/starchy. I buy my applesauce unsweetened, but you can make it yourself like this: www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2011/12/really-simple-applesauce-recipe.html
I'm ordering Quinoa flour right now!! I love love fluffy pancakes!!! Natalie you Rocked this recipe!! 😍😍😍
Aww yay!! I'm kinda obsessed with these and looking forward to finding out what other baking magic quinoa flour is good for :)
Feasting on Fruit I went to the store this afternoon hopping they had some, but it was a no go😔 I'll just have too wait for Amazon!!
Can make your own. Buy raw quinoa, toast lightly in skillet. Do NOT burn. Put in high speed blender and pulse or blend one minute till fine. Shake thru strainer. Store till u use 😊
Lee Sybrant That's right!! Good idea and I have some in the pantry!!😉😍😉
I am in awe of you and how you create such amazing and simple recipes!!
These pancakes were amazing. I'm new to the vegan world and have been craving pancakes all week. I substituted the apple sauce with flaxseeds because I didn't have apple sauce. They turned out beautiful and fluffy 🙂 Thanks
I am so happy you liked these!! They are my favorite, I just love the texture. And great to know the flax worked too :)

Wao that looks amazing, it has the consistency of cake, i always wanted it to use quinoa flour and now i have a recipe to make these awesome pancakes, thanks for sharing!!!
They are almost cake-like, the texture is SO lovely💜 This is one of my first times working with quinoa flour, but won't be my last!
I'm having these for breakfast tomorrow, can't wait
Aw yay--I think they will be a delish start to your sunday :) Let me know!
Perfect for lazy sundays 💕 thank you!
Oh yes, pancakes do taste best that time of week☺️
Short, simple, straightforward video!
Yes, right to the pancakes!
These Look incredible!!! I'm definitely going to try the recipe!
Let me know what you think!
These were very good. They do have a slight quinoa flavor, but the sweetness of the applesauce and maple syrup counteracts any bitterness in the flour (I used Bob's Red Mill).
I found that by cooking mine a bit longer (4 min per side), I was able to flip them in my nonstick skillet without any oil or sticking. I cooled them on a cooling rack and just picked them up to eat them plain like bread. Very filling and delicious as a snack.
Thank you so much for sharing! I completely agree on the sweetness to counteract the quinoa taste, it does take a little getting used to. And the low/slow cooking method is always best for pancakes I find too😊
Gonna try. Looks like a healthy recipe I’d actually feel happy eating.
On a weekend morning with a generous drizzle of maple syrup....VERY happy-making indeed😊 I hope you enjoy!
This looks so yummy will try
Woohoo! Let me know what you think :)

YAY!! I am so glad you liked them, happy Saturday💞
This looks delicious 😍😍🌱

OMG!!! this look so yummi!!!
They are hands down my FAVORITE pancake now!
I have to try it :) don't know where i'm going to find a quinoa flour but I can make my on right?
Have got to try these....looks so fluffy.
Please do! Perhaps a weekend pancake project for ya :)
Amazing recipe
omggg im not vegan, i used to be vegetarian but due to my healthy I'm eating everything now but I like to introduce different ingredients in our diet at home, kids loves smoothies with veggies and fruits, I was looking for this kind of recipe to try with my toddlers, quinoa is so good❤
Definitely don't have to be vegan to try these! I hope you guys love them, the quinoa flavor is noticeable but it sounds like your kids are already pretty open minded to healthier foods😊
Feasting on Fruit yeah, I'm Peruvian so quinoa is the base of many of our meals, my toddlers are a half chinese and we actually are living in Italy so we r pretty lucky trying many ingredients✌ thanks for this recipe it's sooo good🌈
Love this channel so much!!
Makes me happy, thank you
You deserve so many more subscribers and views
Omg I need to buy quinoa flour and try this. Any gluten free pancake I’ve tried NEVER cooks through the middle, but these look promising 😋
Yep I know exactly what you mean, I have the same issue usually. But these cook very evenly, none of that mushy middle issue👍
I buy my quinoa flour on amazing bec it’s so much cheaper!!
YEES these videos, in love!!
How fluffy 😍😍😍😍👍
The only kinda pancake I have time for🙄🥞😂
Looks amazing 😋
Hope you try them Nicolas!
Yummylicious 😊. I never tried quinoa. This is a must try!!! Luk supa delicious 😍
I've recently been loving quinoa in general, but the flour is seriously amazing stuff!
Another perfect one❤️
Oh I love this one, so fluffy😋
Wow! These look incredible! I've got to try this asap! What does quinoa flour, end up tasting like in a pancake?
Hmm so hard to describe, but they taste like quinoa with a subtle maple sweeteness. The quinoa flavor is there though, so if you don't like quinoa maybe not the recipe for you. Or add cinnamon or cocoa powder for a stronger flavor to cover it :)
Ahh amazing
My new go-to pancake for sure🤗
Omg I'm subscribing, thank you.
Woohoo! Welcome Nolan, I hope you try out a few recipes soon :)
soo fluffy 😍
i tried to emphasize the CAKE part🎂🥞😊
I didn’t have the same four so mine didn’t turn out as fluffy but they were soooo good 🤤 I added a little too much banana but it made my pancakes taste like banana bread which I loved 😋
Mmmm that sounds delicious though🍌🍌 What flour did you use?
I just had to make them, even though previously watching I had smth totalllly different in mind...and even though I didn't have quinoa flour :D I was grabbing my buckwheat flour so naturally that for a couple of moments I was actually thinking I'm using quinoa flour :D
not to mention that I've been craving those banana nut cookies ever since I saw them ;) so yes, they are next
Can you use quinoa flakes?
You can grind the flakes into a flour!
Yum! Do you think adding water would make thinner or would it just ruin the fluffiness? Thanks!
I would suggest more milk instead of water, but yes that will make them thinner. The texture will still be soft and springy, just less thick :)
Well, i know what I'm making the vegans next office pancake breakfast
Ha I love that your office has pancake breakfasts😊 I hope they are a delicious success!
The first time, it turned out perfect. But the second time it burned twice and was not cooked inside. I guess it is because I roasted the quinoa powder because you recommended to do it, and I added more applesauce than usual. Now I'll do it with only quinoa raw powder and less applesauce. Thanks!
I personally find that store-bought quinoa flour works best, but you can experiment with grinding your own raw. it also could have just been an issue of cooking on too high heat, low and slow is best here!
Def gon try this. Just a quick question: Do these taste any different than oat pancakes?
Yes they do, the quinoa flavor is quite noticeable. So if you don't like quinoa probably better off sticking with the oat ones :)
What could i used instead of quinoa flour? And if i ground in a vitamix (dry container) quinoa flakes would they make quinoa flour?
Tutorial on that here: czcams.com/video/FQ4Nr7sDkIk/video.html
I love how you linked simply quinoa! I really like her channel as well! You two should collaborate soon. :)
Yeah she's awesome :)
Wow! They don't even look like they are made with quinoa flour :o !!! I'm gonna have to try this :D ! -What quinoa flour do you use? maybe the one I have tried is not good.. hmm...
I used the bob's red mill brand, it's not cheap but it tastes good and works well. I'm not sure which brand you tried, but the flour can be really bitter if not soaked/toasted which is why I don't recommend making your own either
Thank you for responding so quickly! Bought it today! Excited to make this recipe soon 😊!!!
Wow how do yours turn out like that? Whenever I try to make gf pancakes it just turns to mush haha
Have you tried with quinoa flour before? It tends to make MUCH fluffier better textured pancakes than oat, so give it a shot!
Feasting on Fruit ooh okay I’ll try
Could I replace the lemon with apple cider vinegar or can I just skip it all together?
Apple cider vinegar would work, yes!
How I can thank you or like your video recipe if you don’t put the measurements ingredients ?
You can check the description box and find that they are always linked there
Can I use bananas instead of apple sauce?
How long does it last fresh please? Thanks
They are best fresh, but you can refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for longer. I recommend toasting them to reheat!
Sometimes I wake up in a hurry for my yoga class, what kind of breakfast ( from your recipes of course) do you suggest?
This is my favorite in a hurry breakfast: www.feastingonfruit.com/favorite-chia-pudding/ I usually make it the day before and then just add toppings, so quick and delish :)
I will dp it right away!! Thanl youuu i really adore chia on my food! Just for the record thanks to you , i am starting to be vegan. My life style is completely on the track of changing for the better.
Note: tomorrow is mango ginger muffins dayyy!! Wish me luck!💃💃💃
sending you loving vibes 💫💫
Mine came out bitter :(. Maybe I did not toast the flour enough?
That is most likely it, quinoa flour can be quite bitter. I actually find store-bought to work MUCH better than making your own
What can I substitute the applesauce for? I have food allergies. Thanks
Mashed banana or yogurt would work!
Can I use cooked quinoa flakes instead of quinoa flour?
well this is unusual for a vegan recipe video. So far over 2500 views and not a single dislike? all the vegan haters must have the day off today.
Ha perhaps the universal love of pancake trumps all :)
Is it possible for nutritional value? And what is the recommendation per serving?
One batch makes about 8 pancakes, so 2-3 servings. I haven't calculated the nutrition info, but you can plug all the ingredients here to find out: www.myfitnesspal.com/recipe/calculator
I don't know why but mine turned EXTREMELY BITTER! Plus they weren't fluffy at all although I used the same ingredients except for the applesauce, I replaced it woth butternut squash..
Maybe I toasted the quinoa for a long time before grinding it idk but I really disliked the taste
Its probably the quinoa! I find storebought works better, much less bitter flavor that DIY-ing it (not sure why) Sorry!
Do you think it can work with oatmeal flour? Thanks.
I'd recommend this recipe instead if you want to use oat flour: feastingonfruit.com/fluffy-vegan-pancakes/
@@FeastingonFruit thank you!! If I use only baking soda, how much should I add? Thank you!
@@estherh.e.867 In the oat flour recipe? Baking soda is 3x as strong as baking powder, so I'd recommend about 3/4 tsp if you use only soda
Would it work with cooked quinoa? Thanks!
You really need quinoa flour for this one, cooked quinoa will make them very mushy. Sorry!
Can I replace.the applesauce with banana?
Yes that will work too!
Thanks. I will try and do it in my waffle iron.
does the quinoa flour make it more fluffy or the applesauce? Will all purpose flour work as well?
The quinoa flour makes it much fluffier than oat, but AP should be pretty fluffy too. Although I cannot guarantee the amount will be the same, it may take less flour so I'd start with 1 cup and add more only if it seems too runny. The lemon juice + baking soda instead of baking powder helps with rise/fluff too. Good luck!
thank you sm!
This mixture looks thick enough for waffles?
Haven't trie dit, but I don't see why not😊
Omg I need to try these as waffles! I haven’t had waffles in years!
😎👍
Can I use oat flour vs quinoa flour?
shippermd it will still wrk. I think oat flour is more dense
They will not be as light and fluffy with oat flour, but yes you can use it. Probably a little less, closer to 1 1/4 cup👍
I WOULD HAVE PUT SOME VEGAN BUTTER ON IT SWEETHEART...
Personally maple syrup is more my style, but that would be delicious too!
DEFINITELY I PUT MAPLE SYRUP ON IT.....WITH THE VEGAN BUTTER.....AND MAYBE SOME FRUIT WHICH YOU PUT ON IT......FRUIT AND NUTS.......MAYBE SOME PEANUT BUTTER OR WHATEVER.......BUT I WOULD EAT IT OFF THE FLOOR IF YOU MADE IT, BECAUSE YOU'RE SUPER DUPER AWESOME AND WONDERFUL AND A VERY BEAUTIFUL PERSON
I made it but its not fluffy
Hmm how thin/thick was your batter?
5mm
Maybe I over mixed it
This is a beautiful video!! I love this idea! I also do vegan recipes too! Come check it out if you can!💕
Thanks for watching :)
