KZ Tandingan consider her "Royals" cover by Lorde as one of her best popular rendition, her "ROYAL FLUSH" in POKER CARD game so to speak , that is why she used that song in episode 9 to play safe but the Chinese audience thought otherwise and gave it 4% approval and ranked her 8th and in last place. Meaning out of 500 voters only 20 voted for her. You saw the video they were all jumping and clapping for joy as if all agree with the rendition of the song. (WERE ALL THAT FAKES? Only just an act in front of the cameras? .
We all knew that Angela Chang was about to be eliminated if she ranked lower than 3rd place and according to Hua Chenyu and Tengger's performances they say it's their best so far according to both of them they are very confident They will get at least a top 4 ranking to be safe but the impossible happened all of a sudden Angela Chang beat them with a howl of a pussycat and placed 3rd both of the guys only placed 5th and 7th. Many are questioning as to just what happened?
What a TRAVESTY, a work of an EVIL GENIUS. If Angela only placed 4th she will eventually be edge out by James Li and she will be the one to go to the BREAKOUT ROUND. Every netizens who have watched that stage performance of KZ agree that it was a fiercely fiery rendition of someone who came from the community of poor slums who seek to become well known not for money but by pure guts to glory fame matching that of a ROYAL QUEEN... Are the Chinese audience that stupid that they did not understand the meaning of that song? Many netizens agree that song they say was at least it on the TOP 4 SPOT...
KZ is a Filipino singer who neitherspeaks nor understand Mandarin.But in respect to the Chinese audience,she tries to sing in Mandarin ,always with less than 2 weeks to learn the song.She is an amazing ,versatile singer.Please react to her other performances in China Singer 2018,episodes 5,6,7,&8.Thanks!

Yah, this performance was extremely emotional... As you mentioned, KZ is from the Philippines and she doesn't speak a word of Mandarin; but to show her love and respect for her audience, she sang the song in English and Mandarin before saying goodbye to everyone in China. The thing is, because of KZ the show's ratings increased and her videos from the show all went viral. When she got eliminated, Chinese and International fans complained.
