Το τρένο φεύγει στις οχτώ The train it leaves at eight
ταξίδι για την Κατερίνη For your journey to Katarini
Νοέμβρης μήνας δε θα μείνει This November, it will not come again
να μη θυμάσαι στις οχτώ Will you not forget about eight ?
να μη θυμάσαι στις οχτώ Will you not forget about eight ?
το τρένο για την Κατερίνη The train, it leaves for Katarini
Νοέμβρης μήνας δε θα μείνει This November, it will not come again
Σε βρήκα πάλι ξαφνικά I came across you again by chance
να πίνεις ούζο στου Λευτέρη You drinking ouzo at Lefteris's
νύχτα δε θα 'ρθει σ' άλλα μέρη This night, it will not come again to other places
να 'χεις δικά σου μυστικά You have your secret thoughts
να 'χεις δικά σου μυστικά You have your secret thoughts
και να θυμάσαι ποιος τα ξέρει And well, you remember who knows them too
νύχτα δε θα 'ρθει σ' άλλα μέρη This night, it will not come again to other places
Το τρένο φεύγει στις οχτώ The train leaves at eight
μα εσύ μονάχος σου έχεις μείνει But (if you go) all alone you will remain
σκοπιά φυλάς στην Κατερίνη A lonely watch you will keep in Katarini
μεσ' στην ομίχλη πέντε οχτώ In the mists of the evening at five to eight
μεσ' στην ομίχλη πέντε οχτώ In the mists of the evening at five to eight
μαχαίρι στη καρδιά σου εγίνει The knife in your heart, it will twist
σκοπιά φυλάς στην Κατερίνη A LONELY watch you will keep in Katarini.

Michail "Mikis" Theodorakis ; (1925 - 2021) was a Greek composer and lyricist credited with over 1,000 works.
Manos Eleftheriou (1938 - 2018), was a Greek poet, lyricist and prose writer. He had written poetry collections, short stories, a novella, two novels and more than 400 songs. At the same time he worked as a columnist, publishing editor, illustrator and radio producer.
Ioannis Vayenas, based in Vienna, works mostly in Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Greece, but also in other countries. Married to a professional harpist, Ioannis’ work as a technician is also influenced by his own extensive experience as a professional violinist. For seventeen years, he served as Assistant Concertmaster of the National Opera in Ljubljana, Slovenia. As a highly educated and experienced string player, he pays a lot of attention and interest to the matter of intonation. Always sensitive to the player’s perspective, he is deeply aware of the importance of playing a well-regulated and well-tuned instrument.

Erstklassige griechische Klänge, die das Herz berühren.
My kind of music, thank you....
Ήταν μια πολύ ευχάριστη έκπληξη ❤
Lovely melody by Mikis.
"Am I not a man ? ... and is a man not stupid ? .... I'm a man ... so ...I'm married ... wife ... children ... house .... everything ..... The FULL catastrophe". From "Zorba the Greek" ... a film that may have sunk without trace were it not for Mikis's very special music.
