Yeah the general player base of WF doesn't need to deal with shield gate or I frames or anything like that, I'd honestly say it's a pretty good buff since high level players will still find ways to have consistent low shields
I switched natural talent for equilibrium on the first build and its so much better and easier to use, really recommend it if you're struggling with energy
For people that want to use shards, the most worth it is probably amber archon shards to replace natural talent, you can then slot in equilibrium with a panzer vulpaphyla running synth mods. This lets you to get rid of energy problems and replace arcane energize with something like arcane augmented. especially good if you don't have arcane energize.
@@UnHoly_V_Oh depends on preference. Baruuk doesn’t really need more damage and the cast speed is a dps increase because you do need to constantly cast on baruuk. Bringing the cast time down on 2 and 3 does let you get in extra hits overall. I personally run a pillage build so having the extra cast speed and using some red archon shards to hit 400% strength for full strip is my preference.

I'm a bit of an odd duck. I run Baruuk with a full Gladiator setup. It takes just a bit to take off because I need to build combo, but it gets the job done. I just wish I knew why the hell DE decided that the only combo duration mod allowed on Exalted Melee was freakin Drifting Contact. You can also run Enduring Slumber to ease the cost of casting his sleep, and the finishers required to trigger the recast will build combo on Desert Wind if it's active. Also, Violence should not ever be a problem so long as you know where he is. You flip him the bird and murder him with your air bending.
Good idea to use slams and slides to increase combo directly on the serene storm, to avoid odd interactions with gladiator buffs. On survivals, the mode I use Baruuk the most, I will go the old school route though, going up to 12, or 13 with venka p, and glad set, speed and combo mods, then swapping to desert wind and using Melee Guidance aura to avoid combo conflicts. Pretty worse method but usually I do survivals mainly to farm steel essences, so avoiding guns makes the smeeta procs affinity way more and I get strikes of 8 and 16 and sometimes 32, se at once. Also it fits my personal rp on a gun less monk helping the squad with martial arts! 😆
As you can see from many other Comments here.... The Gladiator Set is bugged and isn't Working on Keeping the Red Crits consistently.... So our beloved Knightmare Frame Offered A Solution. It's actually a very Interesting Work around.
Was literally going to use your airburst build but remembered you usually put a video out on a Warframe after the prime comes out so I was like I’ll wait bc I was actually debating on airburst or pull and then now that you mentioned nourish my eyes have been opened lol. Well... Its more an issue with current shieldgating mechanic, which is kinda halfassed mechanic that needs some borderline exploits work. Would be silly to design Prime Warframe it in mind. Lets hope DE will eventually make shield gating a real mechanic in a way we dont have to fear extra shields.

Baruuk is significantly more powerful than Excalibur. He’s also an amazing tank. His only caveat is that he needs a lot of enemy density, without it you won’t be able to build up combo or keep your restraint down. So basically in everything but steel path you’ll be running around trying to lower your restraint while your teammates kill everything.
Desolate hands, is heavily slept on as a tank build. I haven't played in about 19 months and it's badass and has been so since at least 2019 when I was heavy into the game.. also I have to start over😢. Before I quit I was lvl 21 and had well over 2000 hrs into the game over YEARS!!! starting over really REALLY hurts...
I just started back a couple of weeks ago in September 2023. I quit 5yrs ago in 2018 because i was burnt out with Warframe. I started WF in 2014 and im an endurance runner. I was MR27 and when i came back 5yrs later i was put back down to MR24. Im at MR25 now but i feel your pain having to start all over again. Did DE delete your account out of inactivity or was it an account sign in issue?
i think when start over he means that theres so much new in the game that all ur best weapons (e.g, Tigris, tiberon) is now trash compared to the best so u gotta start farming again lolsz @@MetalGearTenno
Idk what I'm doing wrong. I can't get the restraint meter to last .. Can't get the combo going. I've tried several builds. Has some mechanic been nerfed or something?Your restraint barely seem to move..
are u using naramon ? naramon makes it so that ur combo never goes away, also u can only build combo with the physical hit of the fists, not the waves, also are u using dexterity arcanes ? using two of them each on primary and secondary give u an extra 15 seconds of combo duration, also, for the restraint, i'd say this build only works on missions with alot of enemies, u wanna hit his 2 every 30 seconds or so and it makes ur restraint go down alot if there are alot of enemies
On lower levels its hard to maintain it. the lower the enemy level, lesser the restraint erodes. In steel path with lot of enemy density and high levels is where he shines.
Hey, how does the ability rotation go for this? At the start of the mission there is not enough energy on the nourish build to be able to use all 3 abilities in one go. Which ones do you use first? Nourish then lull or the 3rd ability, then desert wind? Anyone got any tips.
What about a Melee Guidance build too? So you can stack from normal melee and the switch to Desert Wind should work too or got fixed or do I only have to build combo using Desert Wind therefore no need for melee guidance?

i think it would have been worth getting into a discussion about replacing his first ability vs. his second. while i understand why you did it, for easier management of baruuk's "restraint" meter. but other than that, it serves no purpose really (sure, it has CC of questionable utility, but will conflict with duration builds). elude, also helps erode his restraint, but not even close to as good as lull, but on the other hand it gives you immunity to all incoming ranged attacks, that if combined with something like "retribution" can behave practically like a total damage immunity of sorts. (considering you give it enough range to provide 360 degrees of cover) ranged attacks are blocked by "elude", melee attackers get stunned by "retribution" for easy dispatching and so they don't attack you. and you can just keep it active so you don't need to keep casting abilities all the time to micro-manage your "restraint" economy. basically, these 2 builds can be turned into 4 builds, just based on which ability you choose to replace, both have pro's and con's to replacing them which adds more depth to building baruuk.
the fact that it doesn't work when you attack makes elude useless considering you're gonna be attacking 99% of the time, it's a no brainer to replace tbh
not entirely true for a few reasons. 1)it's not exactly 99% of the time. my index finger would cramp up in minutes if that was the case. =p 2)i use "guardian derision" on desert wind, so that i can gain x12 combo more reliably (without the pull build) by blocking, while simultaneously, it synergizes with elude by taunted enemies in 15m radius to attack me, making elude pretty good at "unfilling" your 4. and most importantly: 3)elude doubles the seek range of "desolate hands", which is the main means of eroding restraint if you replace his 2. more seek range = more enemies in range = getting his 4 meter full faster. again, i realize that this is not AS GOOD as lull specifically in filling your meter, but there's more to his kit than just mindnumblingly mashing 2 and 4 in my opinion, but to each his own. calling it "useless", is pretty narrowminded. nobody said you HAVE TO replace his 2. did i say that somewhere? =] TLDR - with lull, you are limited to subsumes that don't require high duration...i don't like limiting my build options. you call it a "no brainer" that elude is useless. then i think maybe you should use that brain of yours more instead of not at all, and maybe you can come up with a more nuanced view on things.
I'm kinda curious if sticking primed flow and using purple shards that is 50% crit damage per shard or 75% per shard if you somehow tauforged 5 purple shards.
What's the difference between building the combo on your melee and using the combo on Dessert wind? Is it less damage with the melee? Because that's what I saw while testing.
Out of curiosity, why do you run sac.pressure over p.pressure? does the sentient damage outweigh the higher overall damage you would get with p. pressure? - I've been gone from the game for quite a while and the last time I played sentients wasn't really that huge of an issue, guessing that has changed?
That way he pushes up Sacrificial Sacrifice up to 275%. In combination with the gladiator mod set (330% on 12" combo) Serene Storm reaches exactly 300% crit chance, guaranteeing red crits for every hit.

I forgot that last year I tried to reach 400% with my build in combination with Arcane Avenger and just threw out the information that you reach a certain cap by getting everything out of Sacrificial Steel. 50 * (1 + 2.75 + 3.3) + 45 = 397.5%. You can even go higher by adding Naramon's Killer's Rush for an additional 50 * 0.5 = 25%. Total outcome would be 422.5%. For the Gladiator mod set calculation check the wiki for Bloodrush - it follows the same logic. With three Gladiator mods you get 330 at 12" combo since you don't get any bonus at 1" combo. So the bonus starts with 2" (30%), 3" (60%) ...
I use meele guidance and only build combo on the meele my desert storm has negative combo duration is that worse? I get more consistent combo this way!
@@PrinceInfinty Well yo run the gladiator mods and alot of combo duration on your normal meele. No dexterity arcanes on the guns. Than you build your exhalted with no combo duration and the negative from meele guidance brings you to -1sec. It works like this you build combo on your normal meele times 12 than swich on serene storm go mayham for the 20 seconds or so turn off serene storm to hit en enemy with your normal meele to uphold the combo you can run naramon too if you want. This way it cant get confused and bug out your gladiator mod bonus because you cant build combo on two meeles but just on one wich means you always have the red crits.
What would you suggest to do about combo if you dont have primary and secondary dexterity for combo duration on desert wind? Would you still go with the melee guidance and build combo on stat stick, even though it does less damage
1. Efficiency 2. Armor stripped enemies don't give back shields 3. Long cast animation, DPS downtime 4. Shoving that much power strength and you lose out on utility and if it's the invigoration then it's a waste. 5. Terrify would be a better option however costs more energy and needs the augment or enemies will just run from you 6. Modding viral on desert wind will reduce it's efficiency against other units. 7. Baruuk can easily survive without pillage, tl;dr his worse helminth option. It needs range and baruuk doesn't need that much range as that kills his 3.
He has on the arcane "magus lockdown" when you dash in operator form it tethers enemies in a certain radius which increases the higher rank the arcane.
Yeah unfortunately can't get the 1st build to work for me I just can't keep energy. Guess baruuk will just might be some mr fodder for me but love the gameplay and build ideas. Learned something new ab exalted melees. (Just want to clarify energy is fine in survival ofc)

okay, so I don't play warframe as much as I used to, and there seems to be a consensus that stat sticking some frames still work while others do not, and I'm a bit lost on how exactly stat sticks still work or not, is it JUST the glad set effect bonus that you are looking for in the stat sticks now?
Building combo on a stat stick and getting red crits is buggy because if you accidentally build combo on your exalted weapon the gladiator buff stops transferring over. However, if you run Melee Guidance in aura slot you can reduce your exalted weapon's combo timer to -1. Which stops the bug from appearing. That being said, building combo on a different weapon only transfers the gladiator mod stacks, it doesn't actually increase your exalted weapon's damage other than making it red crit. So building combo on the exalted weapon itself will yield much higher damage. Basically use melee guidance statstick if you run low level missions and just want the red crit visuals, and if you go above base steel path build combo on exalted weapon itself for real damage.
@@kajita2048 azinvasive play did a vid on this method it is basicly using melee guidance aura naraman and dont use dexterity arcanes this will allow you to build combo on melee and use its combo counter on your desert wind freeing you helminth from grouping abilities and giving baruuk more use outside of survival check his channel to understand more .
The only thing I have missing from the build are the shards but Each punch I'm doing like 70k and Im using the second build , can those shards bump me up from 70k to the millions?

U can also get into his 4 with combo on ur melee statstick that way u also get the crit bonus from the gladiator mods but i heared that his 4 does more damage when building combo with the fists
KnightmareFrame's builds are great but different strokes for different folks. Try AznvasionsPlays Baruuk Prime 2023 build. The one where you use Melee Guidance to build combo on your actual melee weapon and not on Desert Wind.

When you say to get red crits to have a weapon with the Gladiator set I did and got to 12x combo and no red crit, then I used my innodem build that has starts with 46 combo so x3 and gladiator set and started getting red crit, should I be using that instead?
@@copeharder6701 actually getting 12x on main weapon have that glitch or something that make the fists lose the set bonus don't know If it happens to other people tho so I build with fists and it works perfectly
@@normal2410 happens often but you just have to heavy attack on your stat stick to lose combo and build it up all over again,which takes about less than 30 secs.
Hey, I remember I used to build combo with normal melee but apparently there is a weird interaction with Baruuk's exalted melee. I just want to know what's exactly happening in these cases.
Pretty sure Baruuk can build combo with his exalted weapon, but you need to physically hit enemies. Energy waves do not build it. Other issue is that your melee weapon and your exalted weapon has separate combo counters. If both weapons has combo on it, everything goes to hell and your exalted weapons doesnt get any benefit. If you are planning to use your melee weapon to build combo, I think you need some mod to exalted weapon that gives it -1 combo counter and makes it unable to get any combo counter. Then it would use melee weapon combo.

its better on the exalted because your dmg will be more consistent instead of always activating and deactivating your 4 and its also more fun playing him that way

If you have pull (mag’s ability) and naramon focus, you should be able to build combos pretty quickly. Also are you using elude a lot? Remember it’s a channeling ability (meaning it drain’s energy per second). Keep in mind Baruuk doesn’t need energy to use his 4th, unless you haven’t eroded his restraints.
Does his restraint meter going up when he is near teammate (or companion)? I don't know maybe i might weird, but sometimes i felt his restraint going up even if i'm not doing anything (punching, casting skills and even walking) when i'm doing mission in multiplayer. I just confused.
The daggers you copy to teammates can reduce your restraint, stand near a buddy for a few seconds to pass a few to them and make better use of your daggers by copying them to more things (not sure if they can go to mini hounds or vauban marbles, but they can apply to most other ally type things)
@@akyrlik7 He can definitely solo very easily, but he also can be pretty beneficial to the team as well. The builds he list here are definitely more on the selfish side but can still help out. You could build him more support if you wish.
Does archon vitality affect his desert wind? could use ember's ability to strip on a build with it.could also use wrathful advance on it, on situations where stat stick cannot be used (circuit)

On lower levels its hard to maintain it. the lower the enemy level, lesser the restraint erodes. In steel path with lot of enemy density and high levels is where he shines.
Hey, how does the ability rotation go for this? At the start of the mission there is not enough energy on the nourish build to be able to use all 3 abilities in one go. Which ones do you use first? Nourish then lull or the 3rd ability, then desert wind? Anyone got any tips.

That's my main build and last i tested it it doesn't work anymore. Idk haven't tested further.

i think it would have been worth getting into a discussion about replacing his first ability vs. his second.
while i understand why you did it, for easier management of baruuk's "restraint" meter.
but other than that, it serves no purpose really (sure, it has CC of questionable utility, but will conflict with duration builds).
elude, also helps erode his restraint, but not even close to as good as lull, but on the other hand it gives you immunity to all incoming ranged attacks, that if combined with something like "retribution" can behave practically like a total damage immunity of sorts. (considering you give it enough range to provide 360 degrees of cover)
ranged attacks are blocked by "elude", melee attackers get stunned by "retribution" for easy dispatching and so they don't attack you.
and you can just keep it active so you don't need to keep casting abilities all the time to micro-manage your "restraint" economy.
basically, these 2 builds can be turned into 4 builds, just based on which ability you choose to replace, both have pro's and con's to replacing them which adds more depth to building baruuk.
the fact that it doesn't work when you attack makes elude useless considering you're gonna be attacking 99% of the time, it's a no brainer to replace tbh
not entirely true for a few reasons.
1)it's not exactly 99% of the time. my index finger would cramp up in minutes if that was the case. =p
2)i use "guardian derision" on desert wind, so that i can gain x12 combo more reliably (without the pull build) by blocking, while simultaneously, it synergizes with elude by taunted enemies in 15m radius to attack me, making elude pretty good at "unfilling" your 4.
and most importantly:
3)elude doubles the seek range of "desolate hands", which is the main means of eroding restraint if you replace his 2.
more seek range = more enemies in range = getting his 4 meter full faster.
again, i realize that this is not AS GOOD as lull specifically in filling your meter, but there's more to his kit than just mindnumblingly mashing 2 and 4 in my opinion, but to each his own.
calling it "useless", is pretty narrowminded.

getting combo on baruuk fists does make it do more dmg but if you build combo on your normal melee and your 4 it fucks up
Out of curiosity, why do you run sac.pressure over p.pressure? does the sentient damage outweigh the higher overall damage you would get with p. pressure? - I've been gone from the game for quite a while and the last time I played sentients wasn't really that huge of an issue, guessing that has changed?

That way he pushes up Sacrificial Sacrifice up to 275%. In combination with the gladiator mod set (330% on 12" combo) Serene Storm reaches exactly 300% crit chance, guaranteeing red crits for every hit.

I forgot that last year I tried to reach 400% with my build in combination with Arcane Avenger and just threw out the information that you reach a certain cap by getting everything out of Sacrificial Steel. 50 * (1 + 2.75 + 3.3) + 45 = 397.5%. You can even go higher by adding Naramon's Killer's Rush for an additional 50 * 0.5 = 25%. Total outcome would be 422.5%.
For the Gladiator mod set calculation check the wiki for Bloodrush - it follows the same logic. With three Gladiator mods you get 330 at 12" combo since you don't get any bonus at 1" combo. So the bonus starts with 2" (30%), 3" (60%) ...

I use meele guidance and only build combo on the meele my desert storm has negative combo duration is that worse? I get more consistent combo this way!

@@PrinceInfinty Well yo run the gladiator mods and alot of combo duration on your normal meele. No dexterity arcanes on the guns. Than you build your exhalted with no combo duration and the negative from meele guidance brings you to -1sec. It works like this you build combo on your normal meele times 12 than swich on serene storm go mayham for the 20 seconds or so turn off serene storm to hit en enemy with your normal meele to uphold the combo you can run naramon too if you want. This way it cant get confused and bug out your gladiator mod bonus because you cant build combo on two meeles but just on one wich means you always have the red crits.

What do you think about a 400% power strength build with Pillage for 100% armor strip and survivability?
You still need to manage to fit rolling guard and brief respite for maximum survivability maybe not brief respite
But yeah that's pretty good
1. Efficiency
2. Armor stripped enemies don't give back shields
3. Long cast animation, DPS downtime
4. Shoving that much power strength and you lose out on utility and if it's the invigoration then it's a waste.
5. Terrify would be a better option however costs more energy and needs the augment or enemies will just run from you
6. Modding viral on desert wind will reduce it's efficiency against other units.
7. Baruuk can easily survive without pillage, tl;dr his worse helminth option. It needs range and baruuk doesn't need that much range as that kills his 3.

okay, so I don't play warframe as much as I used to, and there seems to be a consensus that stat sticking some frames still work while others do not, and I'm a bit lost on how exactly stat sticks still work or not, is it JUST the glad set effect bonus that you are looking for in the stat sticks now?
Building combo on a stat stick and getting red crits is buggy because if you accidentally build combo on your exalted weapon the gladiator buff stops transferring over. However, if you run Melee Guidance in aura slot you can reduce your exalted weapon's combo timer to -1. Which stops the bug from appearing. That being said, building combo on a different weapon only transfers the gladiator mod stacks, it doesn't actually increase your exalted weapon's damage other than making it red crit. So building combo on the exalted weapon itself will yield much higher damage. Basically use melee guidance statstick if you run low level missions and just want the red crit visuals, and if you go above base steel path build combo on exalted weapon itself for real damage.

KnightmareFrame's builds are great but different strokes for different folks. Try AznvasionsPlays Baruuk Prime 2023 build. The one where you use Melee Guidance to build combo on your actual melee weapon and not on Desert Wind.

When you say to get red crits to have a weapon with the Gladiator set I did and got to 12x combo and no red crit, then I used my innodem build that has starts with 46 combo so x3 and gladiator set and started getting red crit, should I be using that instead?
You have to get a 12x combo on your fists not the main weapon

No, you'll have to swap out Sacrificial Pressure for Primed Pressure Point if you don't want to use any Umbral Forma.
How is the combo duration so long without any combo duration mods?
Secondary and Primary Arcane Dexterity give +7.5 seconds additional combo duration each, so 5 seconds base duration + 7.5 + 7.5 = 20 seconds total.

Hey, I remember I used to build combo with normal melee but apparently there is a weird interaction with Baruuk's exalted melee. I just want to know what's exactly happening in these cases.
Pretty sure Baruuk can build combo with his exalted weapon, but you need to physically hit enemies. Energy waves do not build it. Other issue is that your melee weapon and your exalted weapon has separate combo counters. If both weapons has combo on it, everything goes to hell and your exalted weapons doesnt get any benefit.
If you are planning to use your melee weapon to build combo, I think you need some mod to exalted weapon that gives it -1 combo counter and makes it unable to get any combo counter. Then it would use melee weapon combo.

If you have pull (mag’s ability) and naramon focus, you should be able to build combos pretty quickly. Also are you using elude a lot? Remember it’s a channeling ability (meaning it drain’s energy per second). Keep in mind Baruuk doesn’t need energy to use his 4th, unless you haven’t eroded his restraints.

Does his restraint meter going up when he is near teammate (or companion)? I don't know maybe i might weird, but sometimes i felt his restraint going up even if i'm not doing anything (punching, casting skills and even walking) when i'm doing mission in multiplayer. I just confused.
The daggers you copy to teammates can reduce your restraint, stand near a buddy for a few seconds to pass a few to them and make better use of your daggers by copying them to more things (not sure if they can go to mini hounds or vauban marbles, but they can apply to most other ally type things)

Does archon vitality affect his desert wind? could use ember's ability to strip on a build with it.could also use wrathful advance on it, on situations where stat stick cannot be used (circuit)
