Major props to the stunt actor in the Miss Piggy suit. They were flying on those skates!
For real.
I knew it!!!, that was a stunt person in a Ms. Piggy full body costume. It was never credited.
Miss Piggy did all of her own stunts.
She injured herself a lot in the process and that's how she got hooked on the painkillers.
According to muppet wiki there were 3 credited: Cheryl Blackman, Denise Lucadamo and Christa Tomasulo
This is the reason Miss Piggy is my favorite character in the Muppets because her distinct voice and her going nuts on a man is just hilarious
Her flying out of the bushes is genuinely terrifying.
She's that determined, desperate and feisty to get her purse back.
I love the comedy in this when Kermit and Miss Piggy argue and the random skate dude giving Miss Piggy emotional comfort XD
That's 80s culture
That purse snatcher was OUT!!! And yet, Piggy still caught his ass. 😆 🤣
Damn right Miss Piggy caught his ass!
Both took Track and Field
She was tearing it up on those skates!
I will never forget my mom took my sister and I to the dollar movie. My mother could not stop laughing. It brings tears to my eyes these were the good times . Life was so much more enjoyable.
Was your mom a short bus rider ?
This Scene Made My Mother and Dad Crack up everytime
I love how the first two comments where about their mothers laughing to tears... I'm happy to report that this was always my mom's favorite part of the film. she was literally wiping her eyes in tears she was laughing so hard. i even remember one time having my aunts watch the scene with her, and they laughed hysterically too. such a memorable scene. i was damn near only 6 years old, and I remember those times as though they happened last week.
I remember watching this back in the 80s and getting terrified when piggie comes out with the hands yelling. She was a genuine monster getting her gold back
That's funny because Frank Oz previously played two monsters on Sesame Street.
"I just like to run around in shorts." 😂
Let that be a lesson to all you purse snatchers out there! Never steal from a pig who knows karate, especially a pig who has an extremely bad temper.
Rule #2 If someone does and she is angry RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!
@@buddysapetsstore1541 Rule #3 Running does NO GOOD.
@@rippingtons60 especially if she locks eyes with you
Most especially, a pig running through Central Park in a business suit and heels!
@@rippingtons60 Rule #4 Don't ever stop running.
Serves him the right for stealing Miss Piggy's purse.
This scene changed my life. I almost turned to a life of crime. Then I saw this scene and became terrified of being chased by a pig on skates. Turned my life around.
Gregory Hines was hilarious in this.
The huggies!!! 🤣
Being chased down by Ms Piggy on skates is nightmare fuel
Her angry eyes were nightmare fuel.
@@professorhulk8259also in muppet movie, it’s double the nightmare fuel.
Lesson learned: Never steal anything from a pig who knows karate and has a nasty temper.
OR who knows how to roller-skate.
My mom told me that she laughed so hard when she saw miss piggy skating when she was little, I laughed so hard when she was skating when I was little, I still do today! XD
I like how Gregory Hines said "you gave Jenny the huggies" from 4:56-4:58 like he knows Jenny. That is, if she was his waitress if he ate at "Pete's" and got to know her.
Gregory Hines was so awesome I still get excited watching him in this since I was little. I miss him dreadfully R.I.P.
@@jerramaurice7836 I agree, Gregory Hines was a great tap dancer and he was on one episode on Sesame Street where he tap danced.
He was also voiced the father in Little Bill.
@@caseysaisi3417 I didn't know that.
@@jerramaurice7836 3:09: Miss Piggy jump scare.
My husband and I visited NYC recently and I told him I wanted to see Central Park where Miss Piggy skated. He saw this clip and laughed because I have a tendency of making the “hhmph” sound at him like Piggy does when she’s irritated by Kermie.
My dad said I struggled to learn to roller skate as a kid but then he told to pretend I was Miss Piggy and I flew down the sidewalk, probably imagining I was chasing the purse thief.
The summer of 1984 was one of the best summers of my life. Watching be MTV at home and going to see this film. The 80's were so captivating!
I love when miss piggy says none of your beeswax it's funny
The HUGGIES!? You gave Jenny THE HUGGIES!? 😂
I was laughing so hard the first time I saw this! NEVER steal Miss Piggy's purse! Lol
Cause WHEN (not "if") she catches your ass she'll kick it.
I love that part when that guy says “You two timing her” and when he says “see where the huggys will get you”
That guy was the brilliant Gregory Hines.
0:40
Miss Piggy: Oh, dear Lord. Not jogging.
Come on Piggy, you could stand to lose some weight.
Me: Hey don't blame me, Piggy, they voted.
aww jenny and kermit snuggle up together on the sidewalk how cute
Please don’t piss piggy off lol
2:08 I love this part.
Cracks me up every time XD
The funniest part 😂 1:45
The chase is on
Kermit and Piggy have an argument and Gregory Hines finds himself right in the thick of it when he comes back for his skates, so he lets Piggy keep the skates.
I think he letted her do this because he did'nt want to get in the middle of the fight between her and Kermit!
@@phillipfuller7382 My thoughts exactly!
3:03 How does she manage to keep a hacksaw in such a tiny purse 😂😂🤣🤣
I asked that same question to a friend of mine, and she said “Only Jesus and Piggy know that answer!” 🤪
And why?
@@HimeRoseChibiChan I was wondering the same thing
@@HimeRoseChibiChan probably to cut something to make stage for performance looks good, but how it fits there I don't know
The typical gag of something big fitting in a tiny bag has always been funny to me 😆

We had THE BEST/MOST ICONIC Novies for Kids in 80s
Nobody should mess with the wrong pig. And that is Miss Piggy.
In the spring of 2012, my dad took me and my husband on a trip to New York. During our carriage ride around Central Park, our driver pointed out the spot where Miss Piggy tackled that mugger.
That's so awesome! 😅
jack. okay look guys this is not working for the show we need another plan jenny. great idea but how kermit. yeah disguising an agent and a producer is hard jenny . since we can't figure it out the plan what else can we do jack well um ( trying to think ) i can't think of it kermit. we can go for a little jog jack. great idea kermit come on jenny jenny. alright let's go (they went for a jog to clear their minds ) jack . wow it's such a beautiful day kermit. yeah jenny .(notice the track ) come on let's go this this way kermit. okay let's go jack. feeling better kermit.yes jenny . great jogging does the trick jack. yeah it's keeping my blood pumping jack . we should keep jogging what do you think guys jenny . well i'm fit kermit. let's keep running jack. alright yeah let's go (they keep running around the block ) jack. which way do we go jenny. that way kermit . great let's go ( they keep running a lap for miles)
This was a good one. My favorite scene was when Kermit dressed as a producer and barged into the guy's office trying to sell the show
The fact that we don't actually see the guy with the skates give them to Miss Piggy implies that she may have taken them by force
4:59 - Kermit’s face says it all. He knew deep down he enjoyed those “Huggies”.
1:29 Miss Piggy: MY PURSE!!!👛
This right here is indisputable evidence; “STOP, TELLY! THAT’S ELMO’S BLANKET!!!!”
3:21
2:27 : Piggy's like " You're dead punk"!!
Thief's like "someone help me this pig is terrifying"!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That also means Piggy was trying to say "YOU CAN'T ESCAPE YOU KNOW! I KNOW YOU'RE THERE!
I love a woman with such spunk and aggression. ❤️😍💕

Absolutely love Ms Piggy 😭🤣🤣

Love This One. l Love Miss Piggy, Kermit The Frog & Gregory Hines. R.I.P. GREGORY HINES, REST IN PEACE BROTHA!!!
I can see where Shawn Wayans from White Chicks got that mugging and chasing part from
My mom laughed at this scene!!!
1:23 the final straw that broke the camel's back
Or a piggy’s back, if the case may be.
Miss piggy as jealous but inside of her she loves Kermit very much as dear friends
1:45 Just goes to show ya, when it comes to the Muppets, you do *NOT* piss off the pig!
Good thing Gregory Hines was around with a pair of roller skates otherwise Miss Piggy would've never gotten her purse back, that purse snatcher was a hell of a runner!
I gotta be honest even as a kid I never saw Kermit and piggy as a couple, i always liked his relationship with Jenny.
look at them kermit and jenny jogging at central park
Me, Happy, Siti-chan, Astro, Maneki, Catrat, Chikn Nuggit, his friends, Plagg, and the Bikini Bottom Furries are having a bunch of fun and stuff
If anyone steals a lady's handbag/purse or my wallet, I'd use my UTC cellphone to take a picture of the thief before it's stolen and then use it to call 911. If not, I'd ask strangers to find out which way the bad guy went with either a purse or wallet.
3:08 Never steal from the pig 😂😂😂
It's like the chase scene from Elmo in Grouchland because what does this and that have in common? They both use roller skates!
and both movies are co-produced by The Jim Henson Company and a unit of Sony Pictures (EIG from Columbia, MTM from TriStar; though MTM was made when Columbia & TriStar was owned by Coke instead of Sony).
That guy stole miss piggy's purse
God I miss Gregory Hines.
Me too
Dude in the Skates should've stayed in the movie longer. He was only in this one part of the movie but he was great.
The brilliant Gregory Hines, and yes, he should have stayed around longer. RIP.
Gregory Hines is hilarious!
Piggy isn’t fond of Jenny right now as she didn’t like seeing her and Kermit hug but she was only being a friend to him. Piggy just gets overly jealous at times. But later accepts Jenny as a friend. Later, when the others ask who she is, Piggy says, “She’s Jenny. She’s a friend of Kermit’s and me.” Jenny smiles at Piggy for saying that. Jenny and Ronny seem to start a relationship. Him being a producer and her being the costume designer, they make a great team as well.
I know right. And besides Kermit would never cheat on Miss Piggy.
Gotta love how no one not even the cop is fazed at the sight of a pissed off pig on roller states chasing a crook
1:07 Me after walking up several flights of stairs
Never mess with Miss Piggy!
The legend himself has commented on my channel. I grew up with your YTPs, dude. So this made my night for sure.
@@PixarManMisc Aww, you're too kind. 😊
(Kermit and Jenny runs after her. Miss Piggy is closing in on the man. The man scrambles into a row of bushes, then comes out the other side. Miss Piggy ploughs through the bushes and the man darts off again. The man leaps over another row of steps, then passes by trees. He struggles up a hill and climbs over tree roots, then turns toward a rocky ridge and stops. He looks around, thinking he lost Miss Piggy, then unzips the stolen purse. He takes out a pair of high heels, a hairdryer, a map, pairs of underwear and a saw. Suddenly, he hears a familiar yell. He turns around and looks up. Miss Piggy launches off the top of the ridge and lunges at the man, tackling him to the ground. A police officer runs over.)
She was pissed
So funny. You do not want to mess with Miss Piggy.
2:11 uh oh! Oobi and Kako didn't realize that Uma is super angry that she wanted her ring back from the Oobi show movie 2 from 1988.
Oobi and Kako: what the...
OMG miss Piggy chase man and she says "aaah" make me laugh that my favorite funniest part 😂
I think it’s funny when the thief tells the cop, “She stole my purse,” and the cop says “Good try fella, c’mon.” I think this is because usually, boys don’t carry purses.
How about this version?
“He stole my wooby!”
“It’s a wallet!”
“Wooby!”
“Wallet!”
“Wooby!”
“Wallet!”
“Wooby!”
“Wallet!”
“Wooby!”
“Wallet!”
Don't mess with Ms. Piggy!
I have a feeling the Purse Snatcher was aware that these horrible things were going to happen to him involving him and Miss Piggy, but no matter what he does, he literally cannot avoid it. I mean, he tries to stop for a breather, but it's very clear that's not an action for him, because every time he stops, Miss Piggy's not far behind screaming. They wanted there to be no options. You know, because the thief wouldn't have given up IF there were options.
That part is hilarious
I know how she feels....it hurts to see the guy you love give the Huggies to someone else.
1:50 LMAOOOOOOOOO😂😂🤣🤣
Why does Miss Piggy have a hacksaw in her purse?
Why did Gregory Hines say to keep the skates from 5:30-5:32 when it sounds like he wanted them back from 4:21-4:41? I know he said that he doesn't use them but is more interested in running with shorts but, was he scared to get them back after hearing Kermit and Miss Piggy arguing and/or was he looking for an excuse to get himself out of their argument by telling Miss Piggy to keep the skates?
Yeah
He got scared
@@frankwest018 Yes, I guess he might have gotten scared when Kermit and Miss Piggy were screaming back and forth feeling there was no way to get them back hearing their argument. Plus, maybe he felt awkward interfering with their argument (especially since he mostly gave Miss Piggy the benefit of the doubt and acting surprise for an unknown reason when he said to Kermit "the huggies, you gave Jenny the huggies" acting like she was actually his girlfriend being unknown if he really knew Jenny) and probably was looking for a way to get himself out of the subject when he told Miss Piggy to keep the skates and said that he would rather run in shorts than skating.
Piggy knows she wanted to take a peak of seeing Gregory running back in those shorts without Kermit being around and go mmmmmhhhhhhhmmmm 😍😍😍
@@jerramaurice7836 She was probably feeling too angry to be focusing on Gregory on wearing his shorts since Kermit was also looking at him as he was running away.
I think after the argument got heated he thought it's best to just let piggy keep the skates
1:51 I need this scene with radical highway playing over it
(Miss Piggy slows down, then leans against a lamp post, catching her breath. She removes her hand from the post, revealing a piece of chewing gum stuck to it. Suddenly, a man wearing a cream t-shirt snatches her purse from her, then sprints off. Miss Piggy gets up to her feet.)

"STOP TELLY THAT'S ELMO'S BLANKET!!!!!!!!!!"
I always really liked that song in background which plays when Miss Piggy is chasing the thief.🏃♂️🏃♀️ 🎼🎶🥁🎹🎸🎺🕺💃
3:04 What should Robby the Purse Snatcher do?
Should he
A. Flag down a cab to drive him out of Central Park?
or B. Get attacked by Miss Piggy and let the cops arrest him
or C. Stand and fight Miss Piggy with his bare hands?
3:20. Today that might actually be believable (esp. in New York)!
@Kevin S I'm sure that wouldn't be believable anywhere (including New York here) if a man said to a cop "she stole my purse." Even if a man said, I'm a man and I used to be a woman and she stole my purse, the cop still wouldn't believe the man. That thief should have thought of a better excuse saying something like "back there, she stole my wife's purse and I had to run and get it back" where I'm sure the cop would still handcuff the man and say "show me where your wife is" and after not seeing anyone, the man would have been arrested then.
Never knew fear until I saw a Human rollerblading wearing a miss piggy suit.
Muppet Rule#1: NEVER piss off Miss Piggy!
5:20 Kermit and Miss Piggy get into a big argument.
that purse snatcher has unleashed the beast he should have dropped purse flee for his very existences
(Nearby, Miss Piggy pokes her head from behind a bush, watching them.)
