Have gotten to meet the boys from Insomnium/Omnium Gatherum a couple of times .. spent quite a bit of time chatting with Markus.. what a stand-up, down to earth guy.. all of the guys are as nice as you would think ..

Hell yeah, glad you did that one finally. And the similarity to Insomnium comes not from nowhere. One of their guitarists plays in both bands...
For future songs i'd recommend The Unkowing or Soul Journeys.
Another band, that is an absolute must in the genre, is Be'lakor from Australia. Abeyance or Countless Skies are two masterpieces you should not have missed :-)

Can you do a reaction to Tuska20 - The Anniversary Song. It has many famous finnish musicians like some guys from Wintersun, Amorphis, CoB and many more.
Saw Omnium Gatherum live last summer, it was awesome. Omnium Gatherum actually has the same guitarist as Insomnium does (Markus Vanhala). Joonas Koto is the one that sings the clean vocals

You should check out An Abstract Illusion. They came out of no where last year with their debut album Illuminate The Path. The song that got me into them was Drop This Planet of Dust. I highly recommend it.
I'd also recommend anything by Be'lakor as has been mentioned by others.

Decadawn - Solitary Confinement .. it features Tomas Lindberg of At the Gates fame .. it will surely satisfy you and give the guys a little more exposure (i have no affiliation with the guys)... trust me
