  • Trains at East Pakenham
I visited the brand new East Pakenham station on its opening week, last week. The station is situated in a odd location, however provides Metro trains to terminate without impacting V/Line trains.

We lived in Pakenham for 14mths when my daughter was 6yrs old, she’s now 26 so I guess that’s why I’ve never seen a station called Pakenham east. Awesome must make it easier for those in the east of Pakenham. A completely new station, name and all.
    It’s still happening
DAN ANDREWS U WERE THE MAN. NEVER SHOULD Have RETIRED. BUT U GET THAT. LOL.

And a new train. Am I wrong about Pakenham East it’s a new station isn’t it or am I trippen’ and forgetting a station.
I grew up on the Frankston line. Lived in Chelsea till 11 always caught the train and then moved to Mornington and still went to college in Mentone St Bedes, so I used to travel on the old Mornington diesel trains all the way to the old Mornington railway station behind main st. Awesome ride. It as u know veered away from the
    Stony Point line at Baxter.
Long gone now, apart from the private train rides that run between Moorooduc and a small platform near Nepean highway. Is that still running these days?
