Yep, I've read some of the comments. Thing is, David has not had parental control over Max in a long time which gave license to Max to totally disobey David and Shona. The problems started there...not with Griff. The problems with Griff started and took off because there are problems within the Platt household and Griff was right there to take advantage of a teenage boy that was looking for acceptance. Max has a problem with parental authority and that needs to be worked out asap. What better time than now when Max is having to face what's happened. As far as Gail, yeah, her disgust with allowing Lauren coming over is 100% correct. Regardless of Lauren's current situation, David does not need to let her step foot in his home. That would be another grand mistake. Watch Lauren try to move in under the guise she has no place to go be it true or not, who cares? David and Shona need to fix the issues they are responsible for.

Don't forget he was also inadvertently responsible for Robert Preston's death, he also almost beat Ryan to death and almost killed Ali with a drug overdose, he was a fully grown man in his 30's during all of that craziness whereas Max is only 16
