We'll miss you Jim. Thank you for being a great friend.
R.I.P. to Jim. Thoughts and prayers for his family, friends, and all that knew him. God speed sir.
Oh man, I just heard about Jim. He was so good to me when I broke down on my way to Texas last sept. He let me work in his shop for 5 days trying to Frankenstien a working Slant 6 out of 3 or 4 dead ones, loaned me tools, drove me to the hotel every eve and wished me luck when I decided to make a dash for Dallas on 5 cylinders. I was really looking forward to seeing him and all the guys later this month while I hung out in Nashville. Great guy, wish I'd met him years ago. See ya' on the return road Brother
crazy how life goes.. Couldn't believe the news myself. When i saw jim's videos on your situation I had no doubt in my mind he was a great guy, stand out guy.
Rest In Peace Jim! Praying for your family. Friends and the fellas. Thanks for the entertainment, laughter and knowledge....
Miss Pete also, Jim made time for everyone.😊
How prophetic of Jim in the last part of the video ....RIP Jim you really entertained us , thoughts with all that knew & loved him
Yeah man, that was prophetic and kind of creepy I guess. We joke about things like that all the time and likely he's said it many times before I suppose.
It just goes to show that our words are powerful. Never take a day for granted, it could be your last. Rip Jim
Typical Jim , work ,work ,and more killer awesome work!
Man I just heard the news that Jim has passed and I got to say that really sucks because Jim was a great guy he would help a guy out that was in need and was talented guy. It is really going to suck without Jim being around anymore I loved watching his show and his humor and I just want to say RIP Jim Bennett you were a awesome guy and Im going to miss you man.
Good Morning Bennert family! Kim was the best atraight.forward person perrriod miss these guya dearly.
Rest in peace Jim. My sincerest condolences to his family and crew. I always looked forward to his videos. I will miss his expertise and wonderful good heartedness. He was always willing to help someone in need of a helping hand. We'll see you in that Great Hot Rod Shop in the sky.
I’m speechless. What a beautiful soul this man had… His humor, knowledge, and ambition was on another level. Your videos became one of my favorites to watch, you only put out quality content packed with useful info form you years of knowledge. Your work was outstanding. Prayers to his family and may his soul Rest In Peace. Breaks my heart we won’t be seeing his face again 🕊
RIP Jim. Miss these videos.

Wow.. what he says at the end is unbelievable. I'm speechless.
Sorry for your loss. Jim will be dearly missed by all.
R.I.P. BROTHER you may be gone but ur Legacy will live on!
Very heart breaking to see Jim passed away. I just found his videos today and began to wonder why they stopped coming from a year back, only to find comments that he passed. God bless his family, friends and all of his shop buddies!!!
You heard him talking about tax time. You start preparing self employment taxes you open yourself up to a whole new world... No more straight 1040. He was doing all that and keeping the manual labor going. Not to mention the government looking at every penny you earned as stolen until you pay the taxes on that penny..... He was saving his life from going up in shambles from delays and BS government covid attack. They should have just sprayed DDT in our faces like they did in the 1950's.
Glad you found his videos, sadly yes he passed.
My heart is absolutely broken for you Austin. I lost my father in August of 2014 so I know your pain buddy. It never gets better but it does get a little easier with time. I'm saddened to hear this news. My Prayers are with you and yours in this time of grief. We shall all meet again by and by.
Rest Easy Jim 🕊
My dad was 57 when he passed away too.
I think the other guy who edits the vids is Austin's Dad,not Jim either way still sad
@@986Ste I'm not sure really. But yeah I really hate to hear he passed away
Oh man, I just learned the terrible news from Uncle Tony. Jim was an awesome guy and top shelf body man & all around shop owner/classic car enthusiast. My thoughts & prayers go out to Jim's family, shop partners/help, and all of his friends. RIP Jim......and God Bless you for all the great times.
Just found out about Jim, this just breaks my heart. R.I.P Jim, you reminded me so much of my dad in all you did. Sympathies to all your family and friends.......
As a long-time customer and friend, I know that Jim was a hard worker, ambitious, and took real pride in his craft. Not many people can say they’ve lived their dream, but Jim could. He took a leap of faith and went full-time into the restoration business with a larger facility and battled several headwinds - no easy task. I’m glad he was able to finally get that ‘71 Satellite before he passed. May God bring comfort to Jim’s family and friends in this difficult time. I hope to finish the 912 in a manner that Jim would have ensured.
Miss you Dad :(
We all do very much.
Jim lived the American dream.
Always top notch stuff
RIP Jim. Loved his channel and watching him on uncle Tony’s Garage gone to soon
Miss you dad, wish you were here, we brought home a win at the Spring Thaw Bike Show.
Really enjoy this channel still. Hate to think that we are all human and we should really cherish every moment. Thoughts and prayers from my family here in Texas to Jim Bennetts friends and family. Appreciate the knowledge you were spreading
Bennett's Hot Rod Shop uncle Tony sent over, I watched the Mustang video that butcher worked on. You and Tony found so much horrible things that crook did. I'm enjoying your channel, thank you.
Man never met Jim but I really enjoyed watch him..... God rest your soul Jim.
The ending of this video gives me chills. What a great man. Jim, rest easy 🙏
Man it's sad to lose a True Dude like Jim . Thoughts and prayers to his family , crew , and friends .
Just thought about Jim and the crew. Hope everyone is doing well and continuing doing great work!
RIP Jim you will be missed!
Praying for all of Jim's family, I'm sorry for the heartbreak you're feeling right now! When someone passes unexpectedly like this... where all of our community can revisit all of the vitality and young spirit Jim had just days before his time would come....., it really makes me sit back and contemplate why now God? With so much unfinished business and dreams for projects to come; I can't help but think of my own laundry list of projects that I have still yet to finish... and whether or not I'll have the privilege of getting there. The only thing I can do is try my very best to help others who are put into my path in hopes to make a difference for them, as I am blessed with the time that I am given. Thank you Jim, for all the love you poured into the hot rod community! Much too soon of a departure brother... but like Uncle Tony said, "we will see you on the other side!" That-is one thing I'm most certain of!
RIP. I really enjoyed your shop videos. Prayers to the family.
So sorry to hear the sad news. My condolences to his family and friends.
So sad to hear this. Jim was a legend and a patriot. Definitely going to miss him. Prayers for the family and everyone involved with the shop.
His closing remarks were very prophetic. You just never know. Sad to see him go he really seemed to enjoy what he did.
Everyday, for the last year, I have been looking for the new posting of the day. You gave me the guts to attack mechanical repairs on my old car and I did learn a lot from body work and paint to new car seats covers.
I had access to the knowledge of a very experienced car restoration guy. Needles to say that this channel was a great fit for me.
You will be missed Jim
R.i.p Jim and to this crew sorry for your loss
On camera he hid the stress of running a shop very well. Godspeed
🙏 for Jim's family and friends.
Rip, just heard of the terrible news . My condolences for your family in these trying times
Your missed dearly old friend , the chats on here and everything!
He made more sense than watching all the dream car garages. You actually saw the hammerhead mentality one has to have to complete a restore. Especially with Covid adding to his misery. His 2021 Christmas trip with the guys on here, showed the true Jim. He wanted everyone fed and happy.
Did you get a chance to read his obit? It has a good background story, and way more family mentioned than I've had in my lifetime.....
*for the algorithm
He loved what he did!!
Deepest condolences to the Bennett family and team members, so very sorry for your loss. ~BW
Thanks for the great content big fella. Feeling for Jim's family freinds and followers. The world needs more Jim's.
Very sorry to hear of Jim's death. Condolences to all there who knew him. Greetings from Prague, CZ
Thank you for everything you taught me I will pass your knowledge along to my sons .Rest In Peace Jim
RIP Jim. You taught me and helped me with so much of my car addiction. You went too soon. I wouldn't of been where I am without you or UTG. I hope you're having fun catching up in Heaven man. You seemed like one of the best people in the modern world
R.I.P Jim, you will be missed. We all loved you.
I've never commented before but my heart goes out to Jim's family this is true tragedy such a sad loss on so many levels RIP jim :(
Now that I’m my 80s and no longer taking care of my cattle , I have my four sons working on the ranch for me …I just subscribed to your channel
I watched uncle Tony explain a car from your shop that was on a rotisserie and the possible rusting issues with it and I heard you mention your channel at the end I am now a supporter of yours , I look forward to watching all your videos

May God bless and heal your family. R.I.P. Jim.
Personally I don't expect you guys to make a video every day.. Whenever you can and feel inclined is good enough for me. Thanks for sharing. I always assume that you guys are very busy and frankly, I'm glad to see it. I love the look and smell of prospering in business, and wish you and the gang the best.
My condolences to the family. Just found this channel. Wish I'd known sooner.
JiM loved your channel..loved your work and attention to detail and always treating people with the respect you thought they deserved....you're going to be missed. 🤘
I hope they will be able to complete all of the job cars in there. Hopefully the guys will be able to keep the shop running the way Jim did, and be able to collect due payments and pay all of the bills, and maybe hopefully even purchase the business and assets and really keep it going, just like Jim was going to do. And keep the channel going too.
Ugh Jim, bad choice of words there at 11:45.
I wish I was closer to the shop - I'd sure come in and help them keep it going.

Bye Jim! I hope you have the garage of your dreams where you are!
12:04 time mark He PREDICTS his own CAUSE OF DEATH!!! WOW.... R.i.p
He was taking on body work and paint booth tasks to get things done. His customers dreams were his only dreams. Most of us would have a stroke doing that much multitasking.
