I found you guys on CZcams and some of your siblings! It makes this Mamaw so so happy ! Your show was my favorite. At 66, I wanted to visit and become an honorary Bates Family Member lol love you guys and your beautiful family !
So funny how when my kids were younger I would tell the grandparents to please not over indulge the kids with gifts. Literally, if my kids went to a gas station with a grandparent, somehow they would find some trinket to bring home. So fast forward, and now I’m a grandparent and my grand daughter loves loves loves stuffed animals, so anywhere we go - at least one stuffy comes home with us. Lol. There is barely room in her bedroom for her with all her stuffy friends. But she knows so much about each of the animals - she is 4 and schooled me on the Red Panda. I didn’t even know such a thing existed. Being a grandparent is such a treat - so I fully support Kelley’s Grannie Prizes and there are some things that Grand Dad need not worry about.
Just love watching Mama B. with her grand-daughters, I noticed a bruise on her left ankle, hope it’s not to painful? And your Dad is truly amazing, he’s one of the those “real Dads” who shows up and loves unconditionally!! I am so grateful that you and John are sharing your life with us. Grandparents are a blessing. It's wonderful watching your parents take the time to visit each one of your sisters and brothers and also spend time with the grandchildren.
Instead of materialistic things, we asked the Grandparents to buy experiences since we live in a small house. The experiences have created wonderful memories. We have went to museums, movies, dinner, amusement parks, and science hands on museums. It has been wonderful spending time with my mother in law, and the kids enjoy doing fun activities with their grandparents.
Glad to see you guys had a nice visit with your folks. I always enjoy seeing Gil, full of Wisdom. I watch his sermons online regularly and always encourages and motivates me to live for God more. The video seemed to cut off at a weird moment. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Blessings.
