Kipkay I have a project idea for you. It involves repurposing. If interested reply. Thanks
No
The saying no offense I really like the idea and I know this was made a year ago but most of the spam numbers are actually robots
Thanks to CZcams translate I can
Cheaper and easier solution: buy an airhorn and blast it into your phone when they call.
Yeah because im gonna have an airhorn everywhere i go
andreaś holstmark They're useful in all kinds of situations! Parents keep telling you things you already know? AIRHORN! Boss chewing you out for not doing their job? AIRHORN! Unemployment agent asking why you brought an airhorn and let it go off in your boss's face? AIRHORN!
nah just do a demonic voice
The Mutton Chop Gamer
Nice chops mate.
I don't know if I should blast a Airhorn into a small iPhone microphone, wouldn't not be good for the microphone ?
Or you can use another cell phone to play the audio
I Love Creativity what if you don’t have on or you aren’t prepared
SlipperySushi3 so you’re telling you dont have another device that can just play the audio but you do have this pointless box next to you?
SlipperySushi3 but... You need a computer to use the box
this is exactly what i was thinking
But That's not fun....
Take a shot every time Kip says "solder"
*Dies of alcohol poisoning*
Nosh+ You mean 'sodda'?
Fluffy the Not so Digilant Cat Guard ..but he''s saying 'sodda' not 'solder'.
No he's definitely saying sodda
Big Macintosh. I know how it's spelled, but he's saying 'sodda' not 'sol der'.
You must be a proper lightweight then
I'm gonna build one but instead of a phone spam destroyer, I t will be a rickroll box
+Alex D'Amato Brother!
+Alex D'Amato im gonna put in a high-pitched screech to blow their eardrums
Mine is a subliminal suicide message
make it sing a song maked out of air horns like megalovania. or just one long air horn is good
oh god no
Or, just, y'know.... automaticly block unknown/private calls.... whatev....
Nathan Yes "or" Like I said at the beginning blocking, reporting, hanging up...etc doesn't always work
if you block a caller all it does is send them right to your voicemail. they know if it does this that the number still exist and will keep calling so doing what kipkay does will cause the spammer to delete your number and never call you again.
kipkay i just put the phone a sleep and by the 2nd time they never call again i use to use a whistle and blow that to the mic and they hang up with in 2 sec was really funny
kipkay Here's what my friend taught: Just sing a Christmas song to the caller despite time of the year upon receiving the call and hang up that ought to do it...
Nathan As far as I know, the Verizon services allows you to block incoming phone numbers by your demand as well.
I have a button on my phone that says decline. I wonder what it does.
timinator855 I wonder why they will call again if u click it.
Commas, use them.
SandwichedTom Nowhere in either of those comments was a comma required or even necessary.
Robbie 1400 Maybe, but the structure is still valid the way it is.
I would say it helps to link the two sentences but yes it would be valid either way
I would record "911 what's your emergency hello.... Hello what's your emergency"
Smart
I would say welcome to the official microsoft security operations team, may we have your query?
Would that be legal "posing as 911?"
This might actually be illegal I'm not entirely sure
All that effort just to play 1 sound?
True
Dan Skelton that's what she said
Dan Skelton still cool tho
Well this can discourage troilers & scammers haha.
Or I just hit CZcams, find this sound, and put my phone near my speakers.
Exactly I was like so much work for no reason lol
Bence Illés The problem is you won't have time because it will ring for a long time before you can load the video, etc...
kipkay Just wanted to say that this project is much more effective. :) Just those who don't have the skills, time, resources, etc. to build such things. BTW it looks really cool.
+kipkay this is correct good sir! Great idea and great video! What about using a fax/modem sound effect?
kipkay Not if you have good internet and keep it bookmarked. LOL
could you build the same box but instead of a recording it repeats what the person says on the phone back at them with a .05 to .2 of a second delay. It is proven people can't speak when they hear themselves with a slight delay I think it's called delayed auditory feedback.
Great idea!
M.'s Stuff
kipkap
kip
I've had that happen to me b4, when my mother calls me sometimes, and I say something, I end up hearing myself. It's SO cringey!
Why not just play it from your computer speakers
+Christopher Jordan My computer is not near my business phone or cell and not loaded ready to play.
+kipkay Oh i see.. Well awesome video!! I can't believe you talked to me!! My day is made!!
Boom! In your face.. :'D
+Ritwik Dutta (browncolorindian) haha yup he got me!
+Christopher Jordan what i was thinking
When i get these calls I've got a little MP3 player and i play the Monty Python Spam song.
Spam! Spam! Spam! Spam! Lovely Spam! Lovely Spam!
Love it.
Or I could just play the sanic theme song on full blast and annoy the hell out of them.
SolarShihtzu Airhorn. They annoy us, we rape their ears.
:D
Not really :(
New phones now-days have a limit of volume wich you can hear.
Back in the day of the old nokias, you would have to tell someone to STFU if they started yelling because it was too loud.
+Nahuel Nada I just Rick roll them or start singing the trolol song >:D
SolarShihtzu *gets called at the same time the next day*
That is the most pointless thing ever created. Just turn on your computer and play it from there because you got the audio file from there anyways
do you have a pc with always
+Jes Simmons do you have that speaker with always?
2000truckman lool
Modern people atleast have one phone and tablet with them
+[OD]Maggy not me
tip, when operating, don't hit use the sfx twice! in real life,the automated message playes once, then hangs up. trust me i work at a call center ;_;
namaste
+ackly14 We have very similar avatars. :D
You work at a call centre?
I feel very, very sorry for you.
are you indian?
are you a vindows tech suppowt scammer
or you could just play John Cena theme when they call
yea totally!
Lol
+Maurice-Mores the john cena theme is actually my answering machine now
Shalom Janashvili Good for you lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD SAVAGE HAHAHAHAHAHA
Thanks to radioshack going bankrupt these projects got harder
I've actually seen a few still operating, look harder!
That is fucked up. I agree with you. Back in the good old days when the Liberals didn't take over our country electronics experimenters could at least do something without all the hoops we have to jump through today.
Hotwheels car collector 98 try Fry's
We still have one in our town.
More like radioshat
My mom took my phone and blew a really loud whistle to the telemarketer.
Phone spam? Never happens to me mate.
Interesting idea, but you can also use an inexpensive ready made voice recorder which is much smaller.
I find it stupid how people are thinking negative about his idea . There may be simpler ways to do it but please appreciate his time & creativity. This is actually really cool & unique. && I hope you guys DO realize he says " fun phone spam destroyer " at the end. (: but this was great !
HEY LOOK AT THAT! A Kipkay video without razors and mattresses!!!
Instructions not clear, my cat got stuck in the blender
wha- how?
Hey, it may not be much from a kid, but congrats on uploading for over 5 years now!
+NecroLegend My first upload was in 2007. Thanks for watching
+kipkay so 8 years? That's pretty awesome!
+kipkay u r awsome
+kipkay ur videos are awesome
Noo, no no! What you _need_ To do Is answer the phone with 4 magic words "911 What's your emergency?" in a soft voice and they never call you again!*
*Does not work for Automated phone calls
PsykohGames or download a soundtrack of a 1-900 sex phone calls.
the audio file I used was JOHN CENA
I guess "This is 911 what's your emergency" would be pretty funny as well haha
Yeah right.. except if it's just a robot spamming you, it won't listen and it's just gonna call again.
Le Derp Français Then block the number or get to the police for non stop spamming
Um, did you just make a thing that is already built into every phone?
cheaper solution: throw your phone in the garbage and go outside
KoboChatEnterprises best. comment. ever.
KoboChatEnterprises Yes, head off into the harsh, uncaring toxic, hel that is nature! Just write a power of attorney first so when nature inevitably kills you I get ll your stuff.
KoboChatEnterprises ok, throw your phone out and go outside, goodbye
you sound like a stereotypical grandmother.
mr rambo doesn't even make sense buddy
Easy solution to this that works on your phone, nothing else needed to "destroy spam calls" (but this explanation is long winded...) I have this recording set as the beginning of my voicemail on my cell phone. This recording is just the three tones at the beginning of the recording though, no words, and basically signals to telemarketer dialers that the number is out of service. The three tones are what it listens for, nothing else... people on my VM may get freaked out but all have gotten used to it. In the past few months I've only gotten two spam calls (both not in my area codes or those that border mine) and they have been sent to voicemail, haven't heard back from either. Works like a charm.
Getting the tones on your voicemail is the difficult part, to do this you will have to find the three tones (grab a recording online) and record your voicemail greeting after it. Use Audacity or similar on computer. Then find a voicemail access number for your carrier and play back the recording on Google Voice/Skype or similar. If anyone is interested in this but still a bit confused, drop a reply to this comment and I'll help you out.
Hope this helps you
Uummm....Yea, with a name like *phone spam destroyer* I thought it would make a very loud noise or something but you just recorded a very polite call can not be completed message 😂😂😂
Glad you're back to making weekly videos :D
NASCAR2011ROX Thanks! Been making a video every week for over two years now.
kipkay You have not uploaded a video every week for 2 years
+Cubeslayer69 Gaming Videos! pretty darn close to it. check his video log.
nointro I did lol, some are very far off
kipkay Oh man, I'm behind! It's summer and everything blends together :D
I never pick up calls from unknown numbers, i usually just press volume down to mute my ringtone:)
Back 3 years later. I have now decided that I will complete this project. Pumped!
I just recorded that same message to my voicemail greeting. Then I added all the unknown calls to a contact without a ringer.
That's the way to do it.
When I was still living at home (right after Highschool) my parents kept getting one guy. I eventually turned their TV on to classical, got the phone up to the TV.
"Hello please hold, a representative will be with you shortly."
*unmutes TV, plays two minutes of classical music*
It worked on my own parents once or twice...
Great invention! Love the creativity and effort put into every one of your projects! ;)
DQCoolStarVidsHD its pretty useless... you can use the speaker of your computer too....
instead of the speaker, wuld it be possible so just use a 3.5 jack.
to eliminate background noise?
By the time he finished building that, all the spammers would be gone by then😂
Or you know... Block the callers.
RANDOM VIDS Yes...like I said I have tried that and sometimes it still doesn't work so I decided to try and alternative method. Seems to be working on a few stubborn callers.
+kipkay Sorry about that, for some reason it feels like an honor that you replied.
kipkay kipkay what case is on your iphone it looks sick!!!
I just watched a ad and I thought it was the video it was about 6 things that you hack for school I thought it was the video😂😂😆
I was confused too because the skip ad was glitchy and I couldn't see it XD
an ad*
Ty Krissell There is a magical extension called "Adlock"....
Why not just hold your phone next to your computer speaker to play that message...
That is brilliant! It will definitely have your number removed from a call list... Lol
Wouldn't they just try again? :p
TheMatoroMovement Eventually they would assume that the number they had was not correct and would delete it from their database. Presumably.
Pigwarts5Ever Oh. :3
I was hoping for an ear rape machine
The longer the video goes on the more he sounds like Kermit for some reason
"In this video, i will show you how to turn something useless into a even more useless device to do useless things. "
Just have the sound saved on your phone, and play it when they call. 100x easier.
Kyogre Cubing | ikyogre1 Have an app that shuts the mic off and plays this audio on a software level. I'm sure someone could code an app for it.
Jaymes Stewart It won't work, it is restricted in Android API, and im pretty sure it won't be allowed in other mobile operating systems also.
Jaymes Stewart can't be done. You can't do that during a phone call. The iOS and Android SDKs both dont give you API access to it
+Zaviex +adi4u48821 What if you just have an app answer the call and play that message? For example when using Android and it asks you what you would like to use to do a certain action, make said app the primary. Idk if it would work but just an idea.
daobri belleh I acutally wanted to develop an app like that few years ago, but during call actions, no other services can interfere with it, only you can manually record, or speak something. And if you were to attend the call and want to play a msg via a sound filem it cannot be done since Music Player fucntions can go only one way, only you can hear what's playing, and the same happens on speaker also. The simple answer is no, at least for now.
Or just put an airhorn sound and boost up the volume get some earplugs to protect your ears. Once you get a call click the button and the spammers ears doe
Just say "Thank you for calling Pizza Hut how may I help you?"
*_IT WORKS_*
Your website's menu button is broken. Can you please give a direct link to the recording module?
Soundboard anyone ?
built in into androids phone app, i would install lol
I think you could use a 3D printer.
+Mr BenjiBoy (Ben) Just use it
JUST USE IT JUST USE IT
Kyle Messer to print a gun, go to the spammer office and shut them down?
I think you should use a 4D printer
Whats even more effective is pranking them
hey Kipkay, i have a question about lasers.
on the wicked laser website, it says on the SIII We are not accepting orders for this product by residents of the US, AU, CH or NZ. yet how did you get yours?
thanks if you reply
Or just don't answer...
And I'm sure everyone just casually has a soldering iron
+SirDerplington
Yeah, everyone in the world has one! Even a homeless person does! I always see them use their soldering iron on DIY projects.
+SirDerplington i have one and i'm only 11
what do you want me to say ?
i have one and im 10
im 10
Your voice is a mix between Kermit the frog and an american advertiser
lol clever but i would just play back the grinches answering machine XD
this could actually have been a good idea
before smart phones were invented
I would just put john cena on and endless loop and hide it in someones attic or something. Maybe i could just wire it and hide it in a junction box.
Can you suggest a software version of this? Maybe an app or some sort of recording that can be incorporated in the voicemail when someone calls you on the cell/smart phone?
I know you said blocking doesn't work at sometimes, but it depends on how you block stuff. I used groups on my phone and some app that allows me to select a group to only accept calls from. The group has all listed numbers I know and anything not on that group is auto-blocked + phone volume temporarily turns down. This works for any number that isn't on the group at anytime. It's not hard.
I'll probably just use an air horm
Not just any air horn, use "The Blaster" air horn
It's too loud
i blow a whistle or try to freak them out as long as it is not a recorder
Love your projects... thanks you showed me way to the sugru, now using it for everything what needs to be ''Sugrued'' :)
Thanks man!
My mom just uses an air-horn. 😂😂
this is cool, but u can just download truecaller
This has got to be the craziest thing I have seen to date.
Troll some telemarketers.
IT HAS BEEN GREAT WATCHING YOU OVER THE YEARS
Is there a list of the parts and where I can get them from, such as Amazon links or something like that?
You guys with the negative comments...you miss the point of these projects. It is meant to teach you how to make little projects to build your confidence for the bigger more complicated things and have fun at the same time. Stop being such jerks. If you did not like the project, simply move on. There is no need for negative criticism and insults.
Andre van Wyk the trolls thrive on it.
Andre van Wyk "there is no need for negative criticism" Ah yes, never encourage people to improve because it might lead to negative feelings. That's how the world works.
KoboChatEnterprises That's not how you think the world works. Criticism is not limited to negative. Positive criticism not only brings constructive solution, but also better feelings. There are too many ways to encourage people to improve and you only named one of them.
Andre van Wyk. Exactly
Sorry, We Cannot Call Private Numbers Or No Caller ID Because People Just Do Not Know It... Press Operate Phone Numbers And Caller ID To Edit The Settings.
That is an awesome looking momentary switch. Where can I get the exact model Kip?
Yelling at them is way funner tho😂
Awwww, I was hoping it would be a screeching noise that would murder their ears.
Does anyone actually build this stuff lool?
I'd just play the "this *phone company* phone is no longer in service..." Line and wait for them to hang up.
An actual KipKay project, great having you back!
Or I could just find a mp3 link and put it by my speaker...
Nice build, but pointless xD
this is useless, you can just click the volume up or down and you won't hear your phone ring when a spammer calls you
Question, can you hook that up to a mic chord and plug the mic chord into your phone and have it play directly? Instead of through your phones mic I mean
I wonder if you could input the output signal to the input so it would interfere and make a high-pitched sound (I hope if this makes sense). Also, isn't that kit or whatever made by Radioshack?
Phone spam destroyer = Phone scam destroyer = Phone telemarketer destroyer! GOOD VIDEO Mr Kipkay! 👍
Hey Kip, love your work. -Could that voice module's output be routed through an audio transformer (also fitting inside the box) back to another stereo style output jack, then plugged into a phone? So that the nuisance caller gets the recorded message without possible background noise?
I just answer and breath heavily into the mic, I don't say a word, just a creepy wheezy breathing sound.
it sounds me like "Welcome to the Game"
Oh my lord I'm addicted to you now man
When I read « Destroyer » I excpected a massive high pitched earrape sound xD
It's more fun to blast telemarketers ears off with an air horn.
1195 telemarketers disliked this video
I have no idea when i last watched kipkay
I solved the same problem years ago by just recording those three OOS tones at the beginning of my outgoing message on the voice mail at home and on my cell. I don't answer if the number us unknown and the tones play for the caller. The spam and telemarketing calls stopped within a few weeks, automatically.
Omg his guy sounds just like Kermit lol
Screws/bolts **exists**
Kipkay: *HOT GLUE*
On American phones, the call failed sound has slight variances in the frequency of the tones that a computer can hear and it can tell what went wrong with the call. IC_SIT means that the line is disconnected so if you have your voicemail begin with that the robocall computer may blacklist your number
The way you say "NUT"
Sounds like it would come from a meme
imagine combining all of kipkay's inventions into one
I just say this “This is Bart’s meat shack, you kill’em we grill’em! What did you kill and how do you want it cooked?”
No, your supposed to put some lit earrape music on the phone spam dystroyer
