    The switch pro controller will only pull .5A regardless of how many amps the charger can supply. Just make sure that the charging brick is 5v and not different and supplies at least .5A
    Quick note: some console controllers have issues with power supplies that support “fast charging”. I’ve heard that feature can kill PS4 controller batteries so keep that in mind.

    Yeah, I figured this out by experimenting with various cables, bricks and power banks. Some are charging faster, some slower, but I prefer thick Nintendo original USB-C cable in combination with Samsung Galaxy smartphone power brick, because of its compact size. Thanks for the video nonetheless. Now let´s play some Super Mario Galaxy.

    The cheap cable usb-C will not charger ur switch properly it will takes forever to charge and it might giving your switch some problem if you keep using it for a long time. cable with Power Delivery (PD) is needed! if you want to use 3rd party charger. Or if u can get nintendo usb-c is even more better because they already come with Power Delivery cable. However you can charger ur switch using 3rd party charger but at least get 2amp and usb-c cable with Power Delivery in it!
    And cool video btw

    • @PLAYwithGregg
      @PLAYwithGregg  Před 3 lety

      I've used every cheap crappy USB-C cable you can imagine, since the launch of Switch, but yea, using a quality Cable should always be the goal. However, the BLOCK is the key item here. Cheap Blocks are a waste of time. A quality 2amp or better, for sure

    • @PLAYwithGregg

    • @dcpcfix4266
      @dcpcfix4266 Před 2 lety +1

      Don’t change the voltage… that should never be more or less than 5v even if the total wattage is the same as a 5v .5A-2.4A charger. Fast charging isn’t supported by switch pro controllers and I’ve seen reports that it kills the battery on PS4 controllers.
