- For about 12 hours in July 2015, the DeAndre Jordan tweetstorm captivated the NBA and the sports world-at-large. The battling emojis and rapid-fire updates underscored a wild tug-of-war between two franchises vying to stay relevant in a changing Western Conference. But, most importantly, it gave us beef.
So how exactly did DeAndre’s “decommitment” lead to Doc Rivers threatening to fight Mark Cuban in a cage match?

This was such a bizarre event in NBA free agency history. I was mostly puzzled about how Dallas came to the conclusion that DeAndre Jordan was a franchise player😂
After losing Tyson Chandler in 2011 Dallas desperately needed a rim protector that could grab boards and score in the interior. DJ would've been a great fit for them.
@@TrueGuardify I'm not saying he was a bad player and he did fit that same "lob and D" mold like Tyson Chandler. But in no way was he worth all that drama, like he was an elite level talent to carry your franchise.

At least DJ is now an NBA champion. Who could've thought that this beef between Mark Cuban and Doc Rivers would involve the guy who just won a championship with the Denver Nuggets which is also the same guy that the Mavs and Clippers coveted in the 2015 free agency class where originally he committed to the Mavs but then changed his mind and stays in LA and would become an All-Star just a year later.

Doc Rivers. I’ve heard he’s a coach that should have been an assistant coach, and that Rudy Tomjanovich, and in some cases Alex Hannum were better coaches than him despite not being included in the 15 coaches on the anniversary list.

Man you killed it. I don’t know who does research. I think you did great, my only constructive criticism would be pacing and influx. Your facts are on point, you deliver well, but it lacks the excitement on certain parts or the hanging on every word to see what happens next. Don’t get me wrong, part of this could be pacing in editing. I would say 80% great delivery for a first video just make it your own instead of sounding like you’re reading from a script. Definitely parts where you hit that like the dis track part. But the minor details (which need to be emphasized for the story telling) are lackluster.
Again, let me repeat. You killed it homie. Make your segment your own and find your voice and pacing! I definitely hear glimpses of it and would love to hear more of it.

Why do I get annoyed whenever there’s a new narrator. The video just feels comepletelt differently without one of the two icons.
The DJ free agency drama (emojis, the pic of the chair blocking the door, etc) really kickstarted NBA twitter to become what it is today.
