0:05 Therapeutic phlebotomy may benefit high ferritin and hemoglobin in men and in post-menopausal women.
0:30 Donating blood once or twice a year brings down stored iron.
0:35 Iron overload and iron excess can drive the process of cardiovascular disease.
1:35 Iron depletion by phlebotomy improves insulin resistance in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
1:45 Insulin and hyperinsulinemia cause changes in iron metabolism, iron absorption and iron physiology, and ferritin metabolism.
2:41 Excess iron gets stored in your liver, pancreas, and heart, and can impact your brain.
3:35 More than diet influences iron levels.
6:00 You need iron to transport oxygen in your hemoglobin.
7:18 Iron and ferritin are acute phase reactants.
8:45 COVID 19, even the omicron variant, may increase blood viscosity/thickness.
9:35 Free iron accelerates the process of the oxidation of LDL.
11:15 Ferritin stores iron. It is amino acids that hold molecules of iron.
12:50 Exercise helps with iron metabolism and your cardiovascular system.
14:15 High ferritin and high hemoglobin and hematocrit mean that there is a lot of free iron floating around.
17:50 Phlebotomy therapy for study participants with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease showed improvements in ferritin, hemoglobin, liver enzymes and markers of insulin sensitivity.
21:40 High frequency blood donation is protective against cardiovascular disease and reduced relative risk of having a heart attack.

The studies and regarding sick people...
Triglycerides are INEVITABLE. They are just fatty acids attached to a glycerol molecule. Glycerol is glycerin 😑. A completely healthy and manufactured chemical within the body. LDL aren't even bad either. It is only the oxidized "small dense" particles that even are, and those wouldn't be a problem if someone didn't already have endothelial damage (holes for then to pass through).
Burning fats releases triglycerides! If you fast, they are made. If you eat keto, they are there. Even on carnivore they are there too. Triglycerides only become a problem, just like when cholesterol becomes a problem: WITH SICK PEOPLE! They already have insulin issues, and the glucose coupled with triglycerides reign fully within the bloodstream, becoming oxidized because the cells don't utilize energy properly. If we can't have triglycerides. THEN DON'T EVEN LIVE! Treat the root causes, and no other NATURAL factor will ever be a contributing factor. They become oxidized while left in the bloodstream because we consume inflammatory, oxidizing diets. Amen and amen. 💯🙏👍

But, in April 2022 I had Open Heart Surgery to replace my aortic valve. I needed only 2 pints. But, I had an endoscopy/colonoscopy back In September of 2022 and I had a GI Bleed. My hemoglobin went way down to 9.0 - I couldn’t get a transfusion because of the Hemochromatosis, so I had to build it naturally through food. I ate a lot of liver. It’s taken 7 months to get it up to 12.9 now.

He's talking about blood LETTING NOT TRANSFUSIONS.....Blood transfusions kill!!!! You're only alive because your body was able to withstand the injury that you had... The blood transfusion actually made it worse for you.... Inserting a foreign agent (Blood Transfusion) into your body your immune system is going to respond to attack it Blood transfusions is one of the biggest medical frauds ever in human history... Millions get worse or die from it every year but is passed on as the injury that killed the person.... And it's not just one person's blood it could be hundreds of individuals blood inserted into you at the same time.... That's why you get it from a blood bank many different donors Make up that 1 patch of blood that is transfusioned (That's not including all the different lifestyles these people live and different medications that they might be on That's in their blood) It's not just you but the WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD has been thoroughly lied too ... Blood letting (perhaps thousands) has been used for hundreds of years With leeches or cutting of the person... And in most cases blood transfusions are unnecessary because emergency medicine is actually saving your life... The transfusion alone is big business in the United States and other democratic nations.... You're nothing but a $ If you have good health insurance to the hospital... I bet you anything that you absolutely did not need your blood transfusion... Like I mentioned before you and the rest of the world have been thoroughly lied to

Yeah I realized they log covid poke specifically. I asked them, specifically OneBlood, if they "organize blood based on what people say in the questioner". I wanted to not be specific on purpose. They said they don't. It's in case they "find a need in the future for specific donors". So it's possible one day when/if they find out the poke transfers through donations. They may ask for pure donors. I saw a few cases where un poked people that had transfusions after an accident died from random fibrous clots weeks later. Identically to poked cases. Kinda scary. You try hard to not get poked, but if you have accident you may be at risk.

Blood donors live longer. People with more circulating stem cells live longer. Stem cells originate in the bone "red" marrow. After maturity half of the red marrow is found converted to yellow marrow (a type of fat). Following a blood donation some of the yellow marrow reverts to red marrow in order to make up for the blood deficit and more stem cells are created. Some of these stem cells are used to repair wounds anywhere in the body and in all of the organs including the brain. So live longer with more stem cells after blood donation.

The oxidative stress that excess iron causes can also lead to the body producing increased amounts of uric acid and bilirubin since both have anti oxidant properties but both can cause issues of their own especially the uric acid in joint pain and destruction even in people without the HH genes but still too much iron which most people do as we age.

I initially looked into whole blood donation in order to reduce my iron load. I wound up on a twice weekly donation schedule for plasma instead. There is some red blood cell destruction in the process of donating plasma, though I doubt that it has a comparable degree of impact to the donation of whole blood. The plasma center I donate to manufactures medications from plasma.
While I have never had my ferritin level checked with a lab test, I did used to have thick blood. I cannot parse out the variety of factors which may have contributed to this change; eliminating junk food, eliminating gluten, going keto, going ketovore, daily intermittent fasting (4:20), taking MSM orally in a pulsed manner off and on for several years. MSM is a sulfur compound and a precursor to DMSO. It is a mild chelator, and a blood thinner.

Walked out of the office and blood donation bus was there so I donated. It’s been many years since I did. We are checking blood work again in 6 months and I’m curious to see if the iron is down then. Thanks for this info!!! 😊

Been donating for decades, it does remind you to lead a clean life, never been tempted to share a needle or use drugs at all!
It's also nice that you are doing something for someone you will never meet.
I gave blood once in the children's hospital in Siam Reap, they were so pleased, a bit concerning that they covered my torso with a plastic sheet, but no mess and very efficient.
It's a nice thing to do if you go to a country like Cambodia.
"Pure" (unvaccinated) blood is in high demand now and if that's an issue for anyone they should make the arrangements to receive it in case they ever need it.

I was waiting for you to touch on the most important reason to give blood, in my opinion, is to lower dioxin and "forever chemicals" levels. Giving blood regularly combined with taking chlorella and eating lots a plants seems to be the best strategy to attack this problem. I would not be surprised if this is one of the reasons a diet that includes lots of plants to balance out the animal protein can be protective of diseases. This would be an extremely useful preventative to those on carnivore who are naturally consuming for dioxins, etc. Even if you are consuming organic/grassfed/ pastured, etc, the dioxin levels seem to be pretty similar to conventionally raised meat and dairy.

I was donating my blood before, while I was still living in Serbia, not because of the health reasons but because i was just thinking that someone can use that blood to survive after the car accident or after some big operation. And I'm living in Thailand now and I will go to find some hospital or Red Cross and I will donate tomorrow and start donating again. My body will make that blood again, I'm not really losing anything, and someone else can use this blood. So in a word- I don't lose anything and somebody can benefit from this. This should be your real motive, and not just to think selfishly about yourself.

This is fascinating. I had been a regular (3+ times/year) donater through 2019. I stopped, partly because nurses were occasionally having trouble getting into my veins, but also because Red Cross insisted on masks even for vaccinated people. (They only recently lifted it.) My last couple of blood tests showed slight markers for fatty liver. I wonder if my body had adapted to 40 years of regular blood donation. I gave blood 2 weeks ago for the first time in over 3 years. I'm getting bloodwork next week and look forward to seeing if there's any difference.

I've been interested in the hormetic effects of blood donation for a long time. Giving my blood to pharmaceutical companies to produce drugs from is something I am unwilling to do, however. Even a cursory look into where the vast majority of donated blood ends up will quickly put you off of this endeavour. If you hated what big pharma did with the pinprick, you should hate what they're doing with the donated blood.

Would like to be able to donate blood but in the UK if you are over the age of 65 you cannot do so. Fortunately my ferratin levels are good so don't have to worry about that. At the Hight of the pandemic I had my blood tested for Sars 2 antibodies (had the bug in Dec 2019). They were very high, and our NHS were asking for plasma donors who had had Covid to help severely ill people in hospital. But because of the age limitations I could not do so. Bit frustrating especially as I was told that my antibody levels were 5X the minimum needed for plasma donation.
