Just listened to your interview on countdown to classic, listened to it all came here instantly subscribed, keep up the great work:)
i can tell you this: there is always so high demand on shaman healers, that pugs and guilds are already happy that a 60 shaman joints at all even if hes in full green quest gear. you can littarly skip the whole dungeon pre-bis collecting part and go straight to raiding getting the best possible gear already.
Not true, because unless you're talking about AQ40 and beyond, some of the blues are superior in those particular slots compared to stuff you would find in MC and even BWL.

if my memory is correct you dont need to do the quest trick on Kirtonos the Herald,
after you complete the quest theres a npc in the first room that drops the Blood of Innocents
Blood Steward of Kirtonos is a level 57 elite located in the Reliquary.
That makes things even easier!
What 2 trinks should i wear? Briar/2ndwind/eye of the beast/royal seal of eldethralas?
Have you done one about the Paladin, specifically a Protection Paladin?
I know this is an old guide, but I have a few questions.
1. Why would Royal Cap Shoulders be better than Mantle of lost Hope? Which gives you 26 Healing power, 3 mp5 and 11 Intellect? I mean you lose a bit of Armor and Stamina, but get more MP5 and the same Healing power.
2. Similarily about the Leg slot, is 16 additional Healing power better than 5 mp5 and 7 more int? Because else Leggings of the Frenzied Magic would be better from Gorrosh. What about Senior Designer Pantalons? They have just straight up better stats.

love the vids but don't you think it would be better to group gear based on where it is picked up? i.e. here are all the pieces you want from UBRS etc. food for thought.
The every video for offhands people tend to forget 'Spirit of Aquementas'. I know the game will be in patch 1.12 but still a good and easy offhand to obtain without doing dungeons.

3:40 BiS for priests is truefaith vestments, not exalted, so you can still run Strat with your priest buds and not worry about them rolling for it as long as they bothered to go tailoring (robes are BoP).

On all private servers it has been possible to, after completing the quest, get the blood for summoning Kirtonos the Herald by killing the succubus in the previous room inside Scholomance. Is this not possible in Classic?
she has a chance of dropping the blood, but its not 100%

@Defcamp & Melderon TV on private servers you can simply pick up Blood of the Innocents from the Succubus mini boss in the first room of Scholomance so you don't have to drop the Kirtonos quest, are you saying this is inaccurate?
Also people underrate red dragonscale breastplate in MC and BWL. Fights typically are short, so losing 2 +healing and the int and spirit for fire resistance CAN be worth it on fights like Baron Geddon or Rag that have high burst fire dmg. Dead healers can't heal...
Surprisingly a lot of cloth in this bis. Any reason to not consider a decent staff instead of 1h and shield?

so many of these items will be highly contested by casters that will rage if a mail-healer rolls on them though :P. not many other pure mail healing pieces to roll on though. Shamans really got left out in vanilla gear wise.

There is no other belt even remotely in its category. In Phase 1, if you don't have it... you don't have BIS. That being said, belts like Ghostweave are placeholder options.

Why not go for the Animated Chain Necklace (classicdb.ch/?item=18723) and the Verdant Footpads (classicdb.ch/?item=13954)? If it's due to the mp5 being better on the neck, wouldn't something like Woollies of the Prancing Minstrel (classicdb.ch/?item=13383) be better legs? Granted I wasn't able to find when they were added to the game so maybe they aren't available in p1.

As a raid healer, is the 3/8 T2 better than 8/8 T1 considering all other pieces are bis healpower ?
Yes, however, with BWL coming out, you want some Intel and mp5 as fights will be lasting longer

There is a decent alternative to the Phase 1 back piece, you can get it as a quest reward. 8int, 5sta, 6mp5, no +heal unfortunetaly (classic.wowhead.com/quest=8181/confront-yehkinya)

In dungeons and raids my stance on items is, that classes should have priority to their own armor class items. So it would be nice to see a gear list which focuses on mail items (outside of quest rewards etc).
secondly, I don't thin that armor+stamina are wasted stats, which cloth gear does not have as much; a dead healer can't do his job.
@@eraser2727 A dead healer means the tank fucked up hard enough anyway. There won't be a list with mail stuff. Because every piece of mail you can get will be subpar to the cloth stuff.
Is full t1 good to heal in?
8/8 is very nice for tank healing
@@DefcampMelderonTV Any plans on making a video detailing 8/8 ef set bonus when you get the full set? always dismissed 8/8 until i found out about the healing wave bounces also being able to proc mana return along with applying a healing way stack. Would like to see results from a raid as far as amount of mana returned over boss fights.

Most shaman don't go tailoring. But a nice piece nonetheless. And damn, very lucky!

It's situational, man. If you don't need the mana, it's not better. You need to have *all* of the trinkets listed to competently heal as a Resto Shaman. Likely true of all the healers.

I think everyone watching this needs to know that most of the crap on here you wont be able to get cause its from DM... which wont be out on release so if you want to wait for 2 patches before raiding then yea okay this guys list will be good. For everyone else that actually want to raid right away then it mostly sucks.
