    I think the M108 was the best tractor Kubota made. I ran one for two years commercial mowing with no issues. I'm now running a 2024 M7060, only 20hrs on it so far.

    Nice review. I bought a used M7060 in April 2023 with 545 hrs on it. So far no problems. I have put about 50 hrs on it and it has regen'd twice. My set up is simpler. No loader. It has 1000 lbs wts on front and fluid filled rear tires. It is open station with an eight speed transmission that so far has worked perfectly. I was wishing for a 12 speed transmission, but after your experience I am happy with the 8 speed! I pull a 7 ft disc and have a 6 ft brush hog. I use a boom pole to drag dead trees. The 7 ft disc is like invisible. I knew a smaller tractor could have the power for the disc but smaller tractors are just too light. You need 7-8 klbs to pull in loose dirt with the disc deep. I based that on my old D2 which weighs 8klbs. I live in California and it never gets cold enough to gel the fuel. I like the tractor a lot except for a couple things. The 8 speed transmission lacks a park position. You have to depend on the brakes and the brake lock lever must be carefully set and double checked before getting off. I never park up or down a hill. If I have to stop on a hill I turn the tractor sideways first. Also I hate the location of fuel filler tube. If you fill with a 5 gal can you have to be an acrobat and climb up on the lift arms to pour it. If a 3 point is hooked up it is tough. And, interestingly, my top link was also jammed when I got the tractor. I had to buy a replacement.

    I had a 2018 7060 and found your critique to be spot on. The only thing I would differ with is the lift capacity. Unlike yours, I had the skinny tires on front and, honestly, they acted as if they couldn’t handle another pound lol. I had the choice to get a M6060 cab with an 8-speed or the open-station M7060 12-speed. I drove them both and the 6060 was smooth as butter shifting. However, I worried about all that glass bushhogging and figured I could use more gears - so, again, I bought the 7060. It did well (other than the tranny) while I owned it. Great video

      Well I might have been a little greedy on my 1500lb loader increase but it Atleast needs to pick up another 1000 anyway

    I would stay away from new holland they can’t make a good tractor if they wanted too anymore kubota and John Deere are the two best tractor brands today. But in my heart I bleed orange.

    Great review! I am in the market next year for a new one, likely going the 111 route. My Kubota is an older one with a clutch, great tractor just wears my knee out. That is some crazy shop time holy smokes... But at least you have a good dealer!

    I recently bought a used 2018 Kubota M5660SUHD with the LA1154 loader. It is very, very similar to yours it appears. I’ve discovered an issue with the loader controller. Mine only has the 8 speed transmission - and I’m hoping I don’t encounter the same issues as you…

    Take the plastic part of the fender off , I think it would look cooler without it.
    There is an additive to add to the fuel keeping the fuel from gelling up.

    I have an M7060 that I got in July 2021, and my dealer claims that the M7060 is the best tractor that they make. Those bottom guards are a joke, and I have a hard time getting the tractor out of park. How did your transmission problems start?

    • @tlcbushhogging
      @tlcbushhogging  Před 9 měsíci +1

      It started the same way. It was hard to get in and out of park then suddenly the shifter just fell over to one side. Once they got it apart they said the shift forks and detents had broken and came apart. They eventually had to completely split it to get everything back together and it’s still not working correctly

    Been shopping for a tractor. I have a kubota zero turn. It’s nice but cheaply built. The 7060 was in my list, but not any more. MF is about the only company anymore that builds a tractor like they’re supposed to be built.

    Thermostatically controlled fuel filter heating technology is as old as the hills, Kubota needs to add it.
