Used to work at a cemetary where we had a New Holland tractor that would automatically engage 4wd when you pushed the brakes and it was amazing. Because the braking force got distributed over all four wheels instead of just two, the wheels never locked up. Not even when we were lugging around our excavator on a big heavy trailer behind the tractor. It is truly an underrated feature to have in a tractor.
This video weighted large in my decision to purchase my new M7060. You were right in recommending the 12 speed. I got the cast rears and the radial tires. For some reason the radials do not show as an option on the Kubota tractor builder but they can be ordered with them. Expensive upgrade but well worth it. The radial upgrade on the fronts gives you the MUCH better looking and performing wider tires. Another thing to note is the option of the rear defroster not only changes out the 3 rear glass panels to the ones with the imbedded defroster, it also includes the higher output alternator which was a pleasant surprise. About the only options I do not have is the auto leveling loader or anti bounce, if I was a hay guy those would be a must have. I also don't have the creep speed but may add it since it does not cost much and the creep range addition effectively gives you an 18 speed. So far I am extremely pleased with my choice. Another note, get the factory radio, it is a nice Jensen heavy duty unit with weather included and the BT works awesome. Not worth trying ti install something cheaper yourself. Also I recommend the dealer installed additional cab lights. They are nice and really work well.
Thanks for the video. I'm planning to teach myself how to drive our kubota tractor this week, so that was a great overview of the features for me. I have only driven small tractors before, slightly larger than a riding mower. I'm a little intimidated by the big one in the yard.
Just my general opinion on kubotas vs any other brand is I believe that kubota builds the best tractors for price up to the 70-80 hp i would buy nothing else but a kubota for anything under 80hp but after looking at the bigger 130-170 hp i was a little dissapointed 170hp on a 4cyl engine kinda upsets me but i love watching your videos and comparisons because i feel there is alot of truth in them my dad bought a kubota mx5000 2wd with loader for our little hobby farm and it always impresses us great starting engine beautiful gearing for any application decent rear lift capacity only complaint is front end seems a little weak but we try to keep the loader off as much as possible and have had no problems i think you should try to promote keeping loader off for stuff like mowing its so much nicer you have greater visibility less weight bouncing around and gives you more room to work on the tractor and we can put the loader on in less than 3 minutes and have it took off in 2 keep up these good videos
+mathew merkl gotta remember, that 4-cyl is 6.1 liters. 4cyl in that size tractor is increasingly common in the USA and becoming the norm in Europe. All emissions related of course.
+Messick Farm Equipment if you look at a comparable Deere 6175R tractor and a M7-171 you’ll see that Deere has a 6.8 litre 6 cylinder turbocharged engine. The M7-171 has a 6.1 litre four. Also on the Kubota what category is the drawbar? I saw one at a county fair and it almost looked like a cat 3 but I don’t know.
I would like to see a better grill guard. One that has a welded piece of expanded metal covering that open. It will give it more protection and still allow good air flow.
Can 3/8" chain be installed on the rear tires of a M7060 without hitting or rubbing against the fender or cab? Or do wheel spacers need to be installed for chain use? Great video!
I use my tractor in the woods. Although it is an easy refill I am a bit concern about putting a hole in the tank. Looks kinda venerable. Guess rigging up a skid plat it an option.
@@MessicksEquip One thing l noticed while you were driving round the yard, you could mistake the location for somewhere in Europe as the cars looked very un American, what happened to all those lovely sedans? Those tractors might be very good, not so sure about the cars though!!
You can order them with radials like I did and have nice wide front tires. Much better ride, looks and performance with the radials but it is a $1600 charge to get them.
We're you really in first gear or was that third? Also is the information on the 8 vs 12 speed transmission the same in the M5-111? That's the tractor I'm looking at and couldn't decide what the advantages of the extra gears would be. You gave me some great information so I will likely want the 12 speed now.
Neil could this tractor be equipped with a remote for the loader to run log forks or something like that with out giving up the single remote in the rear?
Hey I have a 7060 and love it It’s a very Stout tractor l was wondering about a toolbox on Now I know it didn’t have one. I brought it from my nephew Can you tell me how much it is. Thanks.
Hi Neal, I have a question that nobody can seem to answer. I needed to know the height from the ground to the top of cap on this M7060 with R4 industrial tires because I plan on storing tractor in a high cube conex container. Love and watch all your viedos and look forward to new ones. Thankyou!
The only thing I trust when it comes to measurements is my tape measure in my parking lot. There are too many variations to trust a spec sheet. I don't have that configuration right now.
Hey Donald, You may want to take a look at the weight difference of the two, I had a NH and a Kabota here at the same time, same HP too. The New Holland weighed about 3/4 of a ton more and would pull a 3 bottom through sod effortlessly in 2 WD. Kabota had a tighter turning radius though. Weight is what it's all about with a tractor. I went with the NH. I only wish I could afford to have one of each
Hello I am a Township Road Master and we just bought a new Kubota M7060 we use it to load anti-skid in our dump truck. We like the tractor but it won't pick up even a 3/4 full bucket of anti-skid nor will it stack the pile up. Our old tractor of the same size in a New Holland just plays with anti-skid. Is there any way we can get more lifting power out of the loader.
I have an M7060.. the tool box is useless. You should have showed them how you can't open the tool box lid but half way because it hits the loader mount... Kubota needs to address this .. bad design
Struggled with this issue for a while. It's all in the stick and how you manipulate it. You'll note how it hooks into park from the hook shape in the metal template on the shifter, when taking it out of park follow that pattern by pushing the stick in a small 1/2" circular motion up against that template before you fully move the lever out of park, you'll see it comes right out. Very finicky....
Too bad it doesn’t it have a valve controller for the three point hitch in the back as well... That means when you’re hooking up your implements you have to get in and out of your cab how annoying!
I am a huge JD fan, but would buy a tractor based on your video. Well done, Neal!

another top-notch presentation, this guy knows his stuff

Excellent explanation, very articulate. I enjoyed your pointing out trouble spots so I can correct or watch out. Thanks

definitely my first tractor

Great Video looking at the L7060 and the M7060
Lovely content! Keep it up!
wow that is a sweet rig.. really like how the transmission works
Excellent job Neil.

Nice demo, thanks!
Hello Neil,
Super nicely done video. I commend you. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful machine.
Be well
nice job Neal!

How are you driving now
Me too! In a few weeks time.
Best product review video
Love tractor it’s
A beast thanks for showing how to get a Lyft to work more for picking up
Man do I wish y'all were local to me! I'm in the market for a tractor and would love to do a collaboration!
This tractor has it all the esonly improvement I can see would be the ability to remove the doors. A nice function in the spring.
Great video. I bought the m6060 cab tractor. My dealer never told me a damn thing about the tractor. But he gave me a hat. Whoopi shit!

I like it. Would it be good for snow removal? Let me know. We might be buying another tractor for our next season.
That rubber thingy at the bottom of the air filter was for moisture drain on my old truck.
Ich glaube er ist der beste seiner Klasse!
Any chance we can get a video on the grand L line. or maybe a standard L vs gran L with close hp. thanks
I like that model. Would be a good hay cutting tractor, might be a little light to round bale with. Would be a good all around utility tractor.
Georgia Swampman you can round bales with a small baler easily. Need to spec tractor with additional remote valves.
very nice video... yes EVERY tractor manuf needs to incorporate a standard brush guard and a TOOL BOX!!!
4 wheel while braking is a very clever way to get brakes on the front wheels without brakes.
can you show a video of how to properly attach 1024 hay cutter and adjustments, etc. Thanks
Can 3/8" chain be installed on the rear tires of a M7060 without hitting or rubbing against the fender or cab? Or do wheel spacers need to be installed for chain use? Great video!
Neil can you explain why the 12 speed would be better for haying as opposed to the 8 speed. thanks!
i wish there was a switch to lock the diff on my L 4060 I have to almost stand on it to engage it . or even a longer lever. your thoughts

I have a 4760, I wish there was a tool box on these tractors mounted somewhere, perhaps behind the cab, waterproofed.
Great Video, Would like to see your take on the M-6 series. The small Frame M6-101 & 111 Also the large frame M6-131 & 141

Can you do a video on this tractor vs the workmaster
I’ve always been a JD guy but this dude can sell a tractor.

+bearkatljl in the M5 111 I think it is just gears. It's only the 7060 that comes with the extra features bundled with a transmission change.
Ok thanks. I still want the M5-111 just not sure if I want the 12 speed or the 8 now.
Neil could this tractor be equipped with a remote for the loader to run log forks or something like that with out giving up the single remote in the rear?
+James Spires yeah, Landpride has a quasi-factory 3rd function kit.
+Messick Farm Equipment sorry, wrong model. Kubota has their own 3rd function
Hey Neil, on Kubota's website they show you can add the 540e PTO kit to the m6060, did that change from when this video was posted?
Yea, could be.
Can you compare this tractor to the m4d-071

I know this is a Kubota video but I see you sell New Holland. What would be the major selling points between this Kubota and the Work Master 65?
How do I stop my tires from spinning on takeoff? I work with gravel and find myself leaving small ruts! Help
Hi Neil, do you know if there is any option on the 7060 to get the loader lever closer to the operator in a cab model?
Thanks
You could try adding onto the lever. This is improved in the more deluxe M4D model.
@@MessicksEquip thank you
Hi Neil, I was wondering if you know if there are going to be any up grades for the 2022 M7060.
No, there won't be.
A deluxe tractor doesn’t come with a radio?
How does this tractor compare with your New Holland t4.75.

Yes the hydraulic line under will hang on Texas juniper and snap off.... don't rely on dealer to address this
Can you get the 12 speed on the 6060?
No you can't I have a 6060 just like
What’s the price of this unit new?
What is the difference between this and the m7040 with la1153 loader?
Emissions mostly
Ok. Thank you
What’s the front end loader number and purchase one
Love my Kubota but the paint sucks. I don't like driving around in a pink tractor when it fades but other than that they are great.

Move the loader cylinder from the height hole, to the power hole.

if that is deluxe then you should try a new holland t6
We sell new Holland. This is a workmaster T4 equivalent
Neal, why is it that Kubota put such skinny front wheels on these tractors?
all depends on the application and what the dealer chooses to order. There is a wide tire option.
Why is the tractor difficult to get out of park sometimes, even if it is on flat ground?
