As a warrior main I can only say exactly this weapon was missing from the class, I love the staff, but hammer is still number one of the favorite weapons :D

Hey, glad you enjoy Hammer as well. However I must say, one can see you have probably not played it in a while. Remember, that Ccs override other Ccs. At the beginning of the video you use things like Hammer 4 or F1 after the enemy is already knocked down by Hammer 5. You also do similar things in the burst chain on the build description.
Do not do that! Hammer 5 is a 4 sec CC! You will override it wtih a 1 sec CC that way. It is better to time your CCs. You can actually squeeze in auto attacks or e.g. Hammer 3 and keep the enemy locked in CC for a very long time.
I am pretty sure someone else with more practice will perform way better than me, I have never liked/played hammer before so this is what I learned in 3 days to show the build with staff. Hopefully it is better explained in the build page where is most people see the builds anyway. With more muscle memory and practice I am sure everybody will be able to remember all the combos even while under heavy pressure like I am, thx for comment!
@@JenPlaysGG Don't get me wrong. You are a way better player in general than I am. I assumed you just forgot or had the wrong muscle memory active or something.
I just commented to make others aware of stuns overwriting stuns (and that extends to knockdowns/backs/floats etc). And so you can maybe review the burst combo on the build page. I meant no offense.
No offense taken, thx for clarify! Yes it is just muscle memory I need to play longer to perform automatically and as you see I have to constantly test all other classes as well, its rough lol

Yeah SB is very fun to play now, I enjoy it a lot. I usually roll a more support role with it tho, probably something in the line of staff + mace warhorn and am more looking for group play. But yet still one thing that bothers me a bit is a pretty clunky way of condi cleanse, it really doesn't have much to help you with. Yeah there is some stuff especially if running warhorn, you can cleanse some and especially copy stuff back with F2 but in reality, if you encounter a proper condi spamming class you're gonna have a pretty tough time.
That being said, it's a perfect counter for power classes, oh my god geez louise. Weakness spam is king. Period.

Warrior got the least benefits from these new elite weps working as core, but seems with these new weapons seems like a long term win win for warrior, compared to the other classes.

Yes just replace dagger/shield with staff and you can use that same build. I've been blasting it in ranked with great success.

I tried sword in reaper for wvw but is not really better than the other weapons tbh. However, swords work well in the power harbinger build, check here: czcams.com/video/y1zexfD7BYE/video.html

nice play. i can't myself find a way to have staff work. also hammer without quickness is veeery clunky
I used to think the same but after practice I got used to the combos and the flow is pretty good, also I use celerity sigil on Staff, so after the pull in skill 4 you swap to hammer with quickness and it is pretty good!

I really like gw2 pvp but I really wish it was less bloated and less sweaty. And I say this as someone with 2000 hours in WvW.
This class design is just too spammy. The original game designers knew this class design would be an issue and designed classes light, but these current devs are so arrogant and untalented, they assumed they were smarter than the people because of whoom they have their job in the first place. Why does every ability do 5 things?
