You chose the wrong music to show the effect, the light is always flashing, can’t see the effect at all.

SOrry but this was not in depth. You should play around with the mic's sensitivity and play some good music for it. You should show how it can react only to the beat so it looks really sweet. If you lkower the sensitivity almost to minimum, it won't pick up every sound produced... This just looks like a light show not having to do anything with the music... thanks for the video
If you lower the microphones sensitivity will the led strip lights turn brighter the louder the audio is?

you will have to use an epoxy to mount it to the truck. I would run the wires through the truck so it is a cleaner look.
and make sure you are parked when you show it off you could get in trouble with the police but double check your states vehicle code and local laws

Hey, what power supply do you use?
If I need to connect 8 LED strips, can I use only 1 RF Controller? Also, the strips and/or RF controller did not come with the little white connection that goes connected to the back of RF Controller, and goes connected to the actual RGB LED Strip. I don't have one, and I ordered from the exact same people you recommended. Please help ASAP

I have 3250 leds 15m long with a 12V dc adapter, and it works like charm.
Wish you would have extended the light strip for the audio demo. Is tough to appreciate what it does (various things) while it sits in a coil.

I see where you can choose just one color to stay solid. Can you choose just one color to pulse instead of it alternating colors? thanks
+Jonathan King I don't have this exact kind but as shown, you can only use switching colors that either stay on or keep going off and on while changing to a different color. And the third mode whatever that is. You would need something a little more expensive, you need a DMX controller, converter from dmx and that can be plugged into your pc and you control everything via software. So you can even preprogram ther light strips specifically according to your wish for specific songs. Generally there is tons of stuff to do. (Actually if you buy a single color led strip it will stay one color :)

It works great for me. Just remember to get the strip with the DC cord. But for some reason, I tried lighting up two strips at the same time with a splitter (should be a suggested item on Amazon) , but it just stops and the power button on the RF controller starts blinking and the strips just blink white over and over, not stopping even when I turn off the music. Can someone please explain what's wrong? I have two DC cords plugged into the wall with one going to my speaker and one going to the controller. Since maybe that used too much power, I put one in a different plug, but it didn't change. Help????
SwagMaster The more strips you use, the more power you need. There are some amplifiers for leds out there so you'll just have to check it out.

my grandad wants to know if there is a way to connect the cords together, meaning if i were to order two sets of lights can i connect them to be one long cords?
Yes. You can connect even more than that.They can be cut every 3 leds and cut some wires and solder them or get different shaped connectors to clip them together to them whatever length or shape you want.
Don't do more than 2 sets, since the power supply cannot handle it. (maybe 3 max)

does anyone know if this RF controller allows the lights to pulse to just a single color? as opposed to cycling through all of them? like if i wanted to set the LEDs to JUST pulse red.
I have done some research on this earlier. The short answer is; yes... BUT
using a RBG Led strip, it will only flash 1/3 of the time.
Otherwise, buy a LED strip with a solid color, and wire it into all 3 outs, (R/G/B)
Mads T yeah, upon researching, the only one i found that does do single color pulsing is the hitlights controller...unfortunately that one doesn't have a 3.5mm aux. input like this one does which i think is a really nice feature.

The LED strips can often be found at an electrical wholesaler's if you cant get the right thing on line

hello I'm having an issue with my LEDs or RRF controller I'm not sure which 1 the issue is coming from I appear to have the same exact setup as shown on the video of same RF controller box with 5 meter led.. only difference I believe that my LEDs are not waterproof.. problem is they work on solid colors blue red green even purple yellow and white but when I try to hit the orange color the RF box shut off or if I try to use any of the blinking features such as flash smooth or any of the 3 music feature buttons it again shut completely off I have checked all wires and everything seems to be hooked up correctly do you know what the problem could be?
+trey wright Mine is doing the same exact thing. I have tried everything from different power adapters to different led strips, but every strip that I connect has the same issue. The strips work fine on my other controllers. I bought this off EBAY. I told the seller it was defective. I am waiting to hear back so I can get a replacement.

I ran out of patience with it so Just today I ordered a different kind from a different merchant, I got so tired of dealing with that one.. +trey wright So funny. I am the same way. I am pretty good with electronics and I tried for hours and hours. I have it now working, but the first two music modes...turn the controller off. I can turn it back on and quickly change to the third music or the other functions. Hopefully I will get a new one shipped out with this one being defective. Which one did you order? I liked this one due to the audio in port. Have you seen these? Flash Car Sticker Sound Music Rhythm LED EL Light. I had to order one and I am waiting on it for delivery. I also have a laser projector (got it for 11.00). Love it.

Was the Sound mono because of the splitter?
i'll pretend to be the help desk. splitting it won't make it mono. it sounds like it because he doesn't have his computer sound going into the camera he's recording with.
WRESTLEFEST oh no I was just asking because I though whenvever you use a splitter it, takes the Left and Right channels and divides them
Why would you test this with dubstep? It would look way more impressive with something that doesnt just strobe the whole time.
I dont see any difference between flashing mode and this 20$ music RF controller..
+RicoStuivenberg Flashing mode changes color at a moderate speed regardless of the sound input. The music controller syncs the flashing to the music. Did you watch a different video?

also I found an android app called "RGB IN remote LED" for 2 bucks and it works great. it only works if your Android phone has an IR Blaster though.

you can control digital color LED strip with Raspberry Pi, such as ws2811, ws2812 led strip.
if you want to control RGB LED strip , you need 3 channels PWM output, and 3 MOSFET circuit.
