One thing I like about training with Sifu Gary Lam is that he is always watching and always coaching - even if he’s working one-on-one, he will watch the entire area with an eye on everything. When he sees something that needs attention, he will send an experienced student to help until he can come over himself. Great coach. Great Sifu. Thank you for sharing these videos and thank you for sharing your experience

Wooow. 😄that was great! That shifting. That pushing. The double hits over the bridge after a shift. And then he pushes. Fantastic display. 😎☑️💯he was inside and out the whole time.”

Side lop sau (both 面擸 and 反擸) is the best way to train shifting steps and bong wu sau (膀護手)😉
The video would be better if the footwork also filmed.

Absolutely huge.! I’ll leave a honest comment on what I’ve been training and if I’m wrong. 😄👍lop sao? Grabbing hands? Used last with bong to transition and grab. We’ll see what the masters say. ☕️💯😉

What is the shove for ? Is that what you do in the street as well to push them off balance, possibly to the ground ?

Yes. You push your opponent and let gravity take care of the rest. The trick of this technique is to be able to push without using any muscle. If you can do it effortlessly, then you're doing it correctly. In my experience, only Sifu Lam and two of his top students have been able to do this. In next week's video, you'll Sifu Lam do it.

@@GaryLamWingChunKungFu oh ok, makes sense. Thanks for that, I look forward to seeing Sifu Lam do it.

@@Riserk1ngArm It's a high level skill and takes a while to develop. In short, you have to be able to touch your opponent and know where he's off balance.

@@GaryLamWingChunKungFu and when he's off balance use it to your advantage to shove him ?

@@Riserk1ngArm That Po Pai action, is one of the many remarkable things about Sifu Lam's Wing Chun system that first caught my eye, too. How can your opponent hope to hit you if they are flying away...?! Thanks for asking questions, I also received the benefit of the response from @GaryLamWingChunKungFu - thanks again and hope to see you training at the school
