Very informative video, Sean. Mianne has made the model train hobby more accessible with cookie cutter approach to benchwork. Makes for a stable and dependable frame that saves time and money, and as flexible as you need it to be. Thanks for the great demo!
Hi! Sean , two great books you might want to read are " Lionel Trains: Standard of the World 1900-1943" by the TCA and " Greenberg's Guide to Lionel Trains , Standard and 2 7/8 " gauges, 1901-1940" by Bruce Greenberg. I look forward to more videos in the Standard of the World series. Thanks! Brad Adams.
Hi Sean this was very helpful in putting together my benchwork. Can you tell me how the little black plastic adapter blocks are used. Starting to add my plywood
Thanks yet again Sean. I am at the point of installing my Glen Snyder shelves then I will start the measuring form benchwork. I’m sort of thinking of putting it along the two sides and back conforming to a built in and stone wall then turn to go half way in the front and down the middle of the room. I wish I could see what I am talking about for your opinion. It’s a fairly long room but sort of narrow. Was the media room at one point. Anyway, I also need to consider track laying with what would be essentially three sections. But I could do a yard with this configuration too which would be nice. None the less your on top of your game video wise. Excellent tutorial. Thanks again. Tim
Not to get ahead of you but I really like this as I am wanting to do a layout in mt garage. So, my question is. What do you use to attached plywood to the bench work?
Hey Sean What grade did you use on the curve going up to the lift bridge and coal tipple? And what method(s) did you use to accomplish that? Thanks for all the great content.
Thanks for the video. If I can’t build my own benchwork, I’ll look into this.
