For real. When I want to play something solo, I don't want to be bombarded with invites that I now have to politely decline. Like, i love you my dude, but if i wanted to play GTA Online with you tonight you wouldn't need to invite me, id already have fired it up and be in your session.
I am so blessed. I have been friends with my group for like 13 years now. We all met in halo lobbies. We have friends who have died, we met each others girlfriends who some are now married too, some of us are building homes, one of us has gotten his docterate, some have served in the army and travled the world. We still play, even thought we live so far away from other. Jobs and lifes do take up most of our time, but we always make plans and take the time to get full lobbies to play with each other. RIP BUBBA, your spirit lives on through us, danile still team kills becuase hes color blind, and chris still cant aim! (Love you chris)

I get it, but the interesting part is, the "old days" will be remembered fondly not because they were sunshine and rainbows, but because we tend to remember the good and forget the bad things. What I'm trying to get to is, some years from now you probably will look back at now and say "Oh my god, I had time freedom and could focus on my life now I have this and that responsibility or mouths to feed, the 20s were the good old days" and some day your kids will grow up and leave and you miss the days where they were kids.
So, my point is, the now moment is the "good old days" you just realize it later, so why not just live it now and enjoy it?
Just a bit of change of perspective that definitely made life better for me.

Then i have to shower and make my lunch for the next day and also have dinner with my family. Then clean up afterwards, do jobs around then house and spend time with the kids then put them to bed. By this point it's about 8:30/9pm. I go to sleep at 10pm.
You might have loads of free time but not everyone else does. It doesn't mean people don't value their old friendships. I have friendships that have lasted over 20 years. It's just your own life and family life is more important. Hopefully that gives you some perspective.

Know the feeling. My best friend of 12 years, my brother he and I use to game every night. Then he became a dad. I mean I'm happy for him and all but you know. Now he has to work hard to support his kid he hasn't been on for long time and we haven't hung out for a long time. I mean I do understand and hey I don't expect him to just drop his responsibilities just to entertain me. But idk it just isn't the same any more but hey I'm happy for him and I understand and I'm still grateful for whatever little time he has to hang with me when ever he can.

For real shad, I played with the same squad of friends and there was like 8 of us so we always had someone to play with, after 2 years of gaming with them from apex to warzone pre caldera, I moved and got a traveling job and lost contact, nearly 2 years later warzone 3 dropped we all got back on and reconnected and my girl was pregnant, I had like 4 months of throwback gaming with the boys and now I'm a father and haven't played in 2 months, I miss it man so much.
