- Welcome back to our little corner of the internet where we share laughs, stories, and sometimes, my questionable fashion choices (yes, I'm talking about the Crocs). Today's journal entry dives into something we're all seeking: happiness.
Reflecting on my own life's happiest moments, I realized they were soaked in the joy of exploring new places, the thrill of adventure, and the delight of discovery.
But happiness isn't just about the big moves or the grand adventures. It's also about the little discoveries, the daily adventures, and the continuous exploration of the world around us. I've noticed that when life becomes a repetitive cycle of work, without those three magical ingredients, the joy starts to fade.
This realization has inspired me to keep pushing the boundaries of what I know, to keep seeking, exploring, and venturing into the unknown. And I want to encourage you to do the same. What new thing can you explore today? How can you add a dash of adventure to your routine?

Hi Vinh,
I just started chapter two of your Stage Academy program. Your lessons are truly insightful.
I guess happiness is defined differently for or by everybody. Scientists might even argue with certain hormones.
For me, earlier in my life, happiness was play, laughter (humour), sports (physical exhaustion combined with play or competition) and escape (from a rather toxic household - though I just recently realised that).
Over time that changed. It broadened. I believe my happiness can now be found in so many more things. For example the admiration of fresh spring air, blossoms and a beautiful night sky. Just yesterday I cried in bed, being happy that I am so much further in life than I was a year ago.
Gratefulness. You can be happy whenever you can be grateful. I guess that's a big one for me.

I tried this with my sister whom I really loathe but boy oh boy! we are now in good term's to say the least.

For me, it's close to that. Every month, I have a special short or big trip. It keeps me excited and looking forward to something. It could be a 2 hour drive to a concert or across the country to a music festival or vacation.
Whether you like or not, true happiness only comes from spirituality. To understand the reason of life.
So true , most people just don't understand the simple fact or reality that to be happy you don't need to achieve or do something to be happy because you are happy

I have been an international student in the US for almost 3 years now. I have lived through what you described to a tee - the immense joy of initial discovery, and the fall into a predictable routine. I feel stuck in the everyday busy-ness right now, and I am trying to return to the happiness that learning new things provides. Heading to an internship in Boulder, CO this summer and looking forward to meeting new people and appreciating the towering Boulder mountains!

I got inspired from the way you told us your 'happiness'. You did let me think the word 'happiness' and it has just turned into more plausible things that I can do something for myself and around than just somewhere any ideal ones.
I think we all have the right and credibility to talk about how we feel our feelings. Happiness is not a thing that I try to show off but more show up the affections to myself and to loving ones and feel felt more by things around me and those people who truly care me and share own affections honestly. I think it's just a phenomena you could feel moment by moment.
When I feel not as happy as I used to, then I know that I need to find out what makes me feel that way and sort out some and let go some. Thanks for your idea about happiness today.
I am a teacher for ESL learners and I am also an ESL learner myself. So I watched your clips and give myself to think and write some messages in English. I felt a bit embarrassed after these comments, but I tried to do for my happiness 😊 Why not?

Vinh, can we spend an episode defining those three ingredients to life. I have spent a little bit of time trying to define my meaning to "adventure" and I would be keen to hear yours. -For me adventure means taking on a challenge that has the potential to be catastrophic or life changing. There is the potential to do it so wrong you may not come back.....adventure !!

blogger steve pavlina discusses this topic often. he is very motivated by “exploration.” he does 30 day new habits. deep dives. he changes up his schedule frequently to be in flow. he is innovative with his exploration like he did a 30 day habit to visit Disneyland every day and how his impressions changed over that month. right now, he is exploring psychedelics with mushrooms. personally, I’m less interested in this topic, but he’s always doing something different.
