The concept of godmother or godfather is so fuckin crazy to me like?? If someone in my family had a baby, the whole street would come to their aid loll the baby literally goes on a fuckin trip through all the houses until the mom comes to find her for feeding or the baby cries.

he actually did exactly what you’re supposed to do if your child is crying and you feel overworked! you’re supposed to make sure they’re in a safe, child-proofed room/ area, then go to another room, shut the door, and block out the crying until you’re no longer overwhelmed. frustration and sleep deprivation is a dangerous combination

@@bojuu yep it’s human instincts that can make it incredibly dangerous. There’s this thing that humans do where they want to shake a crying baby, scientists believe it’s linked to the built in fear of predators finding us, if you shake the baby so hard that it “stops crying” (kill the baby) there won’t be any predators
I actually agree with Lucy here. As a person, we all need a little while to breathe. When your kid is acting out and not everything that day is working right, we deserve to have a personal timeout. Provided, of course, that our kids are safe. 5-10 mins alone, sometimes, help a lot to clear our heads.
This is so true. I'm a mum of 4 and this is advice given to me and every other mum I know by the nurses and docs in the hospital ante natal classes. Put the baby somewhere safe(where they can't roll or hurt themselves), step out of the room, close the door and take a minute to gather yourself. If, after a few mins, baby is still crying and you're not feeling better, call for help. Call grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins, friends...anyone that you know will help. It's taught here(Ireland) before birth so it's already in your mind before you're post natal. Dad's/partners are also told this. Babies/toddlers are lovely and all but they can be tiny emotional terrorists sometimes.
Also this is crucial to avoid shaking the baby. Shaken Baby Syndrome can be so fatal for babies. These are great ways to prevent it.

Parents need some personal time as well to recharge and regain their energy. Its perfectly okay to drop down the kids in another place where its safe. They too need some change of environment.

If your baby is being like this. It’s actually recommended that you make sure they are in a safe place where they won’t move or get hurt, take yourself out of the situation until you calm down. Women hurt and even kill their babies because of sleep deprivation and desperation. And as a new mom, I can sympathize because your brain is shut off and the only thing you can think about is making the baby quiet. Sometimes that turns into hurting or even killing the baby. These women are not monsters who WANT to hurt their baby. I had many moments where I had to walk away because you just go crazy and feel like you’re not in control. Remember that it takes a village to raise a baby, and if you can, take a break.
The show is about the fact that it takes a village to raise a kid, and all these couples working together, are the village with all their differences that are all needed to create a balanced and wholesome society, y’all need to chill

I know this is comedy but it just reminded me that this is why raising kids takes a whole village. Parents NEED to have close friends and family that they can depend on to help when needed. We all need a break and thats ok! Imagine the poor mothers that are alone with no husband(for WE reason) or close family/friends😢thats why some ppl lose it and do bad things😞

Better to let your kid cry for a bit while you regroup than make it worse by projecting your anxiety onto them. As long as they're safe it's important to be able to collect yourself so you can be the calming presence they need rather than the flustered frenzy they don't.

Parents need time off too. My husband's friend needed someone to take care of their 4 month old daughter. They just wanted to go see a movie and just go out and relax. Told him its perfectly fine they can bring their adorable little munchkin over.
