Windows 10 portable/installed version effect templates don't show - solution = search downloaded templates in C:\Users\{your name}\AppData\Local\kdenlive\effect-templates and move them to Kdenlive folder kdenlive\bin\data\kdenlive\effect-templates or C:\Program Files\kdenlive\bin\data\kdenlive\effect-templates for installed version.
Another awesome tutorial. Kdenlive is the best and most popular video editor for Linux distros, and I love that it works well on any system(windows/linux), even older ones. Your contributions make Kdenlive even better. Thanks a lot for the tutorial!
Excellent, very helpful for those who are not beginners anymore - thanks! Would love to see a more detailed video with these same effect stacks in combination with curves.
After reviewing and experimenting with these effects I was not able to set a limit to luminance. Example, I have video light by headlight which creates an over lit area. Using the effects I could not limit the over lit area and not reduce the overall luminance. Having a curve like effect that would set the limit to luminance would limit the maximum brightness.
Kdenlive has Curves and Bezier Curves effects. I've been considering adding it to the stacks for advanced controls. However there is the Levels which could be used to limit the brightest areas. In the meanwhile, you can manually add Curves effect.
You simple close out of Kdenlive and open it again. Although if that doesn't work, you might have to find where the Effect Stacks are located and move them manually. Let me know if that's the case.
I hope this helps in your edits. I haven't figured out audio processing in Kdenlive, I'm barely scratching the surface of available audio effects and how well they execute.
Yes, It's important to set your project resolution when first creating the project, you can set the default resolution in Kdenlive configuration, and you can modify the project resolution in the project section up on the menu bar (set the resolution before importing your assets. Next, you have several options in the render window regarding the output "quality", standard; lossless; etc.
The error isn't an issue, it will still find where Kdenlive put the LUTs on your system. However, I did update the file, so you can update and the error should go away.

@@nuxttuxrestart did not work for me.any advise?
Really loved this will be giving it a go. Do you have an similar approach for audio processing in kdenlive ?
I hope this helps in your edits. I haven't figured out audio processing in Kdenlive, I'm barely scratching the surface of available audio effects and how well they execute.
@@nuxttux I am just working out the relationship between compressor/expander and normalise but it's tricky without analysis tools in kdenlive.

I've this message when applying the LUT:
Apply LUT
[filter avfilter.lut3d ] Cannot init scale filter: No such file or directory
Do you get that message if you add Apply LUT from your local effects?
@@nuxttux no, if I add the Apply LUT filter it works fine

@@nuxttux It sure did go away. Thank you 🙏
