I'm blown away by this. It restores my faith in humanity. The cinematography and editing are perfect, my only complaint is the mistake of formating. I implore the person who uploaded this to youtube to resubmit it in 4:3 so that it shows up undistorted. This video is an inspired work that deserves better presentation by youtube.

@@Timolucas She's more famous and successful than John Cale, for example, and he was knighted some years ago. As others have said, it's unlikely to be Kate's thing. There's every chance she's been offered a "damehood" but declined it. If a person declines an honour it's considered bad form to make it public.
In 20 years time people will be looking back, at how much better things were in 2009, than 2029. For example people can choose what speed they want to drive, without being constantly being monitored. I bet this will change. Just enjoy the good bits of life in 2009 :-)

I recommend you to listen to her album The Dreaming. It's a masterpiece. The most experimental, original, personal album she ever made.
The Aerial album reminds me very much of the Kate album Never for Ever. This song in particular, reminds me of Delius.
