Cherry Creek High School 1997 building tour with student interviews

- In 1997, the 18-year-old me wandered the halls and classrooms of Creek to ask, what do you remember about High School? And, where do you see yourself in 20 years? There's laughter, there's shunning, and an object is hurled at the camera at one point, but I do not give up! For I knew, one day in 2017, people would want to see this. Let me know your thoughts below!!
This is part 1! It would not load as one video so there is a Part 2 that has the object hurled at me in West Cafe and the "Where do you see yourself in 20 years" questions.
These old high school vlogs are so fun to watch 😂. Its really cool to see how the school was in the 90s
I'm currently at Creek, and it's crazy to see both the changes and similarities there have been over almost 30 years!

Mr,Baileys what gave me ptsd for a second. One time he chased me down the hall for a couple seconds cause I missed his class and he wanted to tell me what we were doing. He’s such a sweet guy.

Thanks for stopping by! I’m actually working on a follow up video with the people I interviewed and where they ended up 20 years- well 25 years, later. I hope to have it done this summer.
Oh wow. Creek looks different back then. The band room is now the choir room. There is no carpet in the hall way between the choir and band room. Super interesting to watch this.

Crazy to see how much change occurred just 3 years after I was last there!
- Library construction
- West Building expansion
- Smoking on campus!!!! (had friends who were hit by cars when it was off campus)
Got to play on stage for Battle of the Bands in the FA building while in school, and then got to watch my daughter perform on the same stage a few years ago with the Jr. Broncos Cheerleaders! Great school! Fantastic staff. Loved my time at CCHS! (met my wife there!) Thank you for posting these!
Im a freshman this year and Creek looked so much different back then! I have Mr. Bailey for advisory and he looked really young in the video oh my gosh

I graduated class of 79 lots of great memories never been to one reunion but can remember 100 s of names and faces.

We went to cali and FL too! Also the band room then is now the orchestra room, and the band room is farther down the hallway where the doors to the outside are
I remember my marching band, stage band, concert band, pep band, caroling excursions. Mr Michael Dreves, conductor. Sorry to leave in 1967!

Thank you for posting! This was great to look at!! I went to CCHS in 1976, and it doesn't look a whole lot different!! My favorite buildings were the Fine Art building and IA.

good luck soldier. current creek is a mess. keep your close friends circle small, and make sure not to get into alot of drama. there are a lot of questionable people there. i don’t wanna crush your spirits on high school but as someone who graduates this year, i cannot wait to graduate.
i was definitely born in the wrong era, i wish i could experience my high school times in the 90’s

I was only 20 years old at the time when this Cherry Creek High School 1997 was first recorded. And I graduated from a 2 year college from Middlesex Community College in Bedford Massachusetts.
I'd be a grade below ('98) and I would've been secretly swooning over you every day in band, Megan!! 😂

The Sundial was a memorial for Archie Lynn Chase, a student who died while I was there. There is also a memorial for him in my yearbook :(

I was class of 1980. However, my family moved in 78 to FL. I have not been to reunions, but am in touch with some of my classmates on Facebook. I'm an expat living in Thailand now. :)

absolutely love this video, i graduated 2020 but im doing ~research~ for a book i hope to publish eventually which is set in 1997. so fun to see that high schoolers in the 90s were pretty much the same as in the 2010s, just doing slightly different things. might have to include the star wars card game too, never knew that was a thing!
