- Whilst the academics in Europe had brought great reform 250 years previous, God would use a humble farmer to teach and preach about the soon return of Jesus. William Miller was hesitant at first but then surrendered to God and allowed His plan for his life to become a reality. His ministry was multi denominational and changed countless lives.

When I became an Adventist, the pastor who brought me in did not have time to cover the Sanctuary as he was being transferred. It was of the Lord though because it took me five years to fully comprehend it. In remembering the interactions I had with Baptists and Pentecostals before this, I realized over time they aren't open to the Sanctuary because of the influence several other doctrines have on their theology. I made a three part series on those differences and offer the first one to anybody who would like to understand how to approach the subject with an Evenagelical.

William Miller was a Baptist before becoming Millerites.
Great series on such an important book. And I was thrilled when I first was shown how Miller's ministry was a fulfillment of Revelation 10. There is one aspect to the chapter that we don't know much about, the seven thunders. I personally believe the seven thunders of Revelation 10 represent the fact that it would take seven generations to get the work finished. I can't believe people are still promoting a false preacher that was clearly not of God since his predictions did not come true, wake up people. Read Deuteronomy 18:20-22
But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
Read Revelation 10. That exactly happened. If I am correct Miller just said he has studied the Bible to know the exact date of The Coming of Christ.
The 2300 year prophecy he espoused was 100% biblical. His idea that Christ would return to earth in 1844 was his own. The Creator allowed him to surmise this. It's called free will .It did not change the truth of Daniel's revelation.Jesus moved from the Holy into the most Holy room before the glory of God. That was cleaning the heavenly sanctuary. Ellen White said two angels guard the graves of both him and his family.
