the early knockdowns won the fight for ruiz, because of that he also allowed himself not to throw many hands and save stamina. skilled ortiz did well, you can knock him down 4+ times, he'll get up, and fight till the end, much respect! imagine if ortiz was 3-4 year younger....

Only got 3 losses cause he doesn't fight anyone of note, if he wasn't a PBC whipping boy and was able to fight more contenders from other promotions he would have taken a few more losses but at least made a bit more money.

I was there in person sitting about half way up and I can hear and feel the impacts of the punches these two were landing on each other. 😳😳😳
Some of those punches were SO bloody fast and explosive from Andy. He really struggled with Ortiz as a southpaw and was very cautious of his power which a lot of people are criticising him for. But I'm sorry when you've got three knockdowns why put yourself in danger against a puncher like Ortiz? Ruiz was bloody smart to keep his distance.

How on earth did this channel miss all the knock downs. That's insane. It gives no credit to Ruiz. These are very inaccurate highlights. I recall there being at least three KOs and they weren't included. Also a lot flush shots weren't included.

Imho, Ruiz is having a hard time with boxers. Had Ortiz been busy and active with his footwork, the result would have been different.

He actually said he had never faced a southpaw as a pro and it miffed him a bit and Ortiz had crazy power. I think Ruiz was smart and used movement and timing. Definately landing bigger shots
