    Excellent! I'm a fan of 'diorama' basing, doing the same with 28mm, but makes great sense in this scale!

    Great looking Army, love the bases and the way you've applied them. Looking forward to seeing the Romans. Well done👍

      many thanks. I am working on the romans at the moment. done 1 unit each of hastati/principes and triarii and velites. just got to base them.

    love that approach to basing them - i originally had the same idea but havent yet been brave enough to split a strip yet! Very effective

    • @scotty7906
      @scotty7906  Před 26 dny

      many thanks.. splitting the gauls and iberian scutarii is very easy... slight cut around the shoulder/shield edge... use some snips at the base and then simply bend back...then a quick clean up with a blade.

    Well I'm a convert to your basing system - they look grand. what are you using for your basing materials? I hope to see your romans soon!

    Excellent - I've split my Napoleonic strips v easily and I think it'll give me more flexibility in how I field them. Your stands really do look great

    Superb, glad you are posting again. Your plans look great. I am also aiming for the Trebbia order of battle, but doing a bit of a duo by also doing Trebbia with the boardgame SPQR (Great Battles of History by GMT). I haven’t glued anything down yet, so I am pleased that you have showed this system, which I like very much. What size bases are you using?
    I am intrigued by your Roman base … a good imagining of a ‘small’ unit.

    • @scotty7906
      @scotty7906  Před 27 dny

      thanks, appreciated. I am using 90x70mm bases for Cavalry, warbands and Phalanx units and 90x40mm bases for standard/skirmish units. I thought the 90x70mm bases would look better for that classic chequerboard pattern of roman units.
