Don’t worry about the clip less pedals been riding since they were commonplace and went otb literally dozens of times and never once had an issue with them they always came out without any issues.
cool bike an very entertaining video🤘
thank you!!
I JUST ordered my first YT bike, the uncaged e-bike 2 days ago so I've been looking for YT videos about it. Came across this one, even though it's not the e-bike. :) Thanks for pointing out my error on my initial post.
This one isn't the ebike! You must have got the Capra decoy I think it's called. Sometimes I think I wish I did get the ebike version cause it's a beast to pedal up hill, but I've got plenty of traction at least haha. Thank you I appreciate it!
Oops. LOL. I saw the paint scheme and figured it didn't even notice. I was wondering why you were breathing so hard. I'll edit my comment so I don't look TOO stupid!😂My GG Gnarvana is a beast as well and pedaling up isn't terrible, but it could be better. Once you point them down though, watch out! @@BodieMTB
Haha no big deal, and I can not wait to hit the lift access bike parks this summer, really plan on stepping up my riding and videos
If you're ever in Winter Park/Trestle Bike Park here in Colorado I'll most likely be there, would love to show you around. @@BodieMTB
Hopefully one day my channel can take off so I can actually travel the country mountain biking, right now it would be tough. It's already expensive even to ride park "locally" 😅
Nice intro and pick up! I was debating over this YT or the SC Megatower 2s. Went with the Mega only because it fit my ass better. Good stuff 👍👍🇺🇸
Oh man those SC bikes are absolutely beautiful!! Feels great to finally be on a MTB I can feel ultra confident about, even if I am a little overbiked lol
Great bike I was thinking of getting one
all I can think about is when I'm going for my next ride, sucks that bike park season is over right when I got this bike
Sick bike and awesome video! You're a savage for riding without your finger on the brake lever (without pulling) lol
yeah thats a bad habit I need to stop right away before it gets me in trouble haha thank you for watching tho!!!!
Bodie, I started following you months ago just because we were sharing the same Siksiu d5 and we were making upgrades on it. Without you knowing I started looking for a dream bike and guess what, The Capra I started watching online for prices and how to get one cheaper. Now I look at you and you got the same dream bike as me. I just haven't bought mine yet. Please tell me how much you paid for it if you got it new? and how it feels compared to D5. Congrats on your upgrade.
I paid 2500 for it on sale from the YT industries website, it feels uncomparable to my D5. Everything I do with this bike feel amazing, I'm glad I learned on the D5 because it made me have to really focus to make sure I don't mess up... but with the yt capra it makes things so much easier and my confidence inspiring. I don't even use all my travel for huge drops, the bike eats EVERYTHING I throw at it. I feel like alot of people are going from Polygon to YT right now lol
The rear coil makes the back wheel stick like glue (as long as you're not on wet roots or leaves lol) It's such a weird feeling having so much grip in the rear and I'm still getting used to it. It takes more effort to turn into corners than the D5 and it takes way more effort to pedal uphill quickly. The Capra can climb chunk better, but its just a slower bike because of the 170mm of travel and super heavy tires.
The bike comes with some of the beefiest tires you can buy, so it would be much faster with more trail oriented tires, these tires are more for downhill and enduro stuff. But I like it that way tbh as I'm gonna spend alot of time at the bike park this summer
@@BodieMTB thanks for sharing all these thoughts about the bike. The turning into corners also has to do with the front wheel size. Hope to see you using this bike at its full power and maybe why not see you in a professional bike park. Enjoy the beauty and the beast :)
yeah its takens some getting used to but I think im comfortable now
I hope to get at least 20 bike park days in next season, mostly highland and thunder mountain, and maybe some powder ridge & killington @@RADU1st
hey i notice it looked like you didnt lock out or firm up your shock for climbing. try that out it helps, i have the same bike
thats a good point! I'll do that next time, my last mtb bike was only 120mm with super stiff suspension so I'm not really used to pedaling something with this much travel lol... that should help!
Damn that shit is clean Nelson. Let me hop on that shit one day. Never got into mountain biking
its fun as hell but definitely alot harder than I expected when I first started riding lol takes awhile to start having fun but once you can do some drops and jumps it become addicting
That intro lmao
lmao gotta set the vibe right
What kind of rubber do you use for the levers ?
I bought these things, still waiting for them to come in though www.matter-replicator.com/product/sram-brake-deslackinators/
im pretty sure u can adjust where the levers sit with that little nob on the brake
@@BodieMTB
@@safarasd2326 yeah I can but if I adjust them any closer then I have to pull the lever all the way against the grip to reach the bite point
I think my brakes need to bled tbh lol
When do you recon there will be stock again
I'm not sure, YT said the uncaged models are a limited release so you might want to email them to ask if they are ever actually coming back, would suck if it just went away
@@BodieMTByeah i might have to then get the new uncaged in the future
@@BodieMTBwhats nice about this uncaged it ain’t that expensive for the insane components that is on the bike compare to the other uncaged that are quite more expensive
Nice bike and good components - except the brakes. I would change these immediately.
I'm starting to get used to the brakes tbh, at first I hated the "modulation" that they have but now I don't even think about it. I'm 210lbs and they stop me pretty well for now. Whenever its time to replace my rotors and pads will probably upgrade the brakes as well. We will see how good they are at the bike park next year
Everybody hates on the codes. Literally all you need to do is bleed them.
MY SUPERCYCLE WALKS ALL OVER THAT.
Lmao hey man enjoy your bike! We all start somewhere
Yeah ok
$2,400 sale but sold out small to large
I got the large jusssst before it sold out, couldn't beat that price
