Great video - did the trick for me on the rear door trim. Just have to remember to leave the inside rubber seal dangling untill the trim is in place and then hold glass and squeeze the rubber down between window and new trim. Thanks Vlad!

I had a bent pillar and top moulding in the rear window of my 2010 VW Jetta caused by an accident with the previous owner. The bent pillar allowed air to whistle through at high speeds. While it has performed as a good commuter car, it really wasn't worth it to put a lot of money into it. With the help of your video, I was able to remove the pillar and trim and found that the steel flange holding the trim at the top of the door was bent. This caused the trim piece to bend downwards and create the open hole. All I needed to do was straighten out the top flange with a few taps of a hammer, then reshape the pillar and put everything back together again following your instructions. It cost me nothing! I wouldn't have attempted it had I not seen your video! You have saved me time and money! Thank you, Vlad!

I was unable to get the side wheather stripping back in and had to cut the lower portion off to get the window closed. Now I need to take it to a shop and have them replace the seal.

On my mkv Jetta had to remove the inside front door panel and the window inside sweep moulding. I have a picture but don't know how to share it on here?

Leave the bottom trim off and insert the rubber on an angle to miss the window regulator mechanism below. Don’t be fooled thinking the window up/down will help. Or, using any type of lubricant.

Just try to guide them with a thin metal stick (the way I have done it).

Mk5 Jetta is similar, rear door panel is easy, but front panel is a bear to get the rubber back in there. Have to take the inside door panel off. Is there a easier way?
