I suggest everyone to be careful when drilling those rivets. Instructions is missing very important detail. If you just push out those rivet parts after drilling, the new ones they provide probably will not hold speakers tight. The panel is some kind of plastic and it cannot stand rivets pressure. I suggest everyone to use 4-5mm drill piece and do not drill the rest of metal from speaker panel. Just drill enough so you new rivets can go in and be aware when drilling plastic can melt .
Don't just stick these speakers in and think job done! Take some time to prepare your doors by sound deadening the panels to stop resonance and place a diffuser pad behind each of the drivers and this will further improve your sound quality
just ordered this kit from a dealer in Belgium since my OEM speakers' sound has really gone down hill over the past few months, the bass has been sounding really inpure lately im curious to see how much this will improve the sound and bass. if i remember to do so i'll post a review once i get it delivered and installed
got the speakers installed the sound and the bass are defenitely a noticable improvement over the stock speakers, took me more like 2-3 hours to install though. however i do think that it is possible to do this in 1 hour if you're already familiar with how to remove and reinstall the door panel and i might want to advice on buying some extra door clips before installing the speakers. focal delivers the kit with 4 door clips. I however needed 6, but that could also have a lot to do with me being too rough while removing the door panel.
In european standard Golf 6, the speakers are mounted with rivets. So there is no screw thread in the door and we decided to use rivets to save our customers from modifying their car. Are the original speakers screwed in your Golf 6 ? Could you please precise in which country you bought your car, to help us improving our product ?

FOCAL, the Spirit of Sound it's not my golfs...it is from customers and the installer it's me! compared to other generic Focal kits in the same price range this one is crap! not worth the money only to get the Focal logo in the tweeters!
