Hike to Haiku Stairs ( The Condor Way )

The Stairways to Heaven ( Haiku Stairs ) is a popular hike, however, it was closed by the authority for safety reason.
So I took the back way to reach it, the Moanalua Ridge Trail, a very busy hike, for hikers with the same purpose.
The weather forecast for the day was "PERFECT", promising a calm, sunny and dry day....let the video tell the true reality....
As the ridge became very muddy and slippery, the crampon which I used in Yellowknife came into good use, a very necessary piece of foot gear for the trail.
According to many, the trail is more dangerous than the stairs itself, however, it is also very scenic, albeit quite eerie when the wind is strong. The drone shows how it is.
Many continued the hike down the stairway, presumably, risking a $1000 fine...my problem was, I had to return to the car at the start of the Moanalua Valley.
I had my "Condor" moment up at the peak upon see a most exquisite view of the east coast of Oahu.
A few days later, I drove to the bottom of the stairs to see what it is like....
