Recently I got asked by the Mid Suffolk Light Railway if I wanted to bring Jupiter to one of their open days.
So I said sure - because I thought it was time for my two biggest vehicles to meet!

Great video, although I can’t tell you how depressing it is to hear a Fire Appliance that was state of the art when I joined the Brigade described as “vintage”! Keep up the good work, it’s great to see Jupiter out on the road.

I really love the sound of your fire engine when it starts up it is so satisfying to listen to! The engine sounds very similiar to our daf a1300ba360 fitted with a daf ba 475 petrol engine. Great video keep it up!

Our railway could do with one of those, trackside fires being slightly larger an issue in Australia. We have a fire train but a road-bound chaser would be handy as well.

Great one. You will have to see if you can bring Jupiter to the classic car event if it is held at the Severn Valley Railway once everything goes back to normal.
It's a bit of a trek for me to get over there!
Just need Matt or Trev to get a HGV license and the dodge back on the road and you could have both Fire appliances at an Event. Great video as always LMM team.

I just want to say that based on when you tried to take Jupiter to the wedding and the cost I imagine it took to get him back to the shed, perhaps the 40K subscriber vehicle could be a tow truck? Maybe there's legal problems with that, but only if there are would it be a bad idea.

hey lmm . thanks for the vid ;] . would love to see you and the vehicles in person but it is beyond my abilities currently. wow are your roads narrow ! and all those blind corners rock walls and no shoulders it must be difficult especially if fracturing speed limits theses not much room for error there, i like our canadian blacktop or gravel even if it is a skating rink 5 months of the year ...with nice wide expanses and big snow banks its a lot more forgiving when misjudgement is involved.
I've seen a video of someone responding to an emergency in an rs, and the speed they drove was mad.
It's a problem over here, the size of modern cars don't fit our little country roads!
@@lmm i used to love 100 mph+ in a cooper rs on gravel over here you could drive 4 minis side by side without concern your lanes i would feel cramped in on a motorcycle probably even a moped sry you lot do vespas over there dont ya . we dont see many stone walls as road shoulders here either gives me a lot of respect for you who do drive those lanes we dont have anything like that here i guess being a content rather than an island and having our transportation system develop mostly in the last 2 centenaries rather than the last 2 milimium makes a difference

There's a little loco outside the scrapyard in my city that looks like a ruston it has been sat there for years and anyone can just walk over to it and enter the cab

I don't know a thing about the sirens of British fire trucks, but is it really supposed to be that quick?
They are pretty to-period and to-service. The "De-Da" horn rate was quite fast in many areas years ago in some areas, while in others it was slower.
It's a replacement compressor for after the first packed up, it's certainly alot faster than it was

Missed your chance to test the pumps by refilling some of the steam locos.
IIRC the pumps are still in pieces ( next thing to get fixed on Jupiter )

Hi Lawrie I have a diecast volvo fire engine and I have named her Jupiter and I want to get a 1:43 scale British fire Brigade Land rover with a boat and trailer so then I will have Jupiter and Venus and Neptune
