Very good review !!! Was looking at the FB-5000 and comparing it against the FB -3000 but your video still provided reasons for the FB -5000 over a standard bench -(wheels to move, 4 post vs 3 etc.) Also showed doing hip thrust, good review. Also saw how the FB-5000 has increased from $149 to now $189... so I think I'll go ahead and pull the trigger now before it increases again , for me shipping and tax is $264 , not a bargain but I guess not bad compared to others, gets my thumbs up!!!

Thanks!! I appreciate it. I do think Rep provides some of the best quality for a reasonable price, and still loving the 5000.

The Amazon bench isn’t even in the same ballpark😆 thank you for the review.

Hi Rachael, I bought the Rep bench in Feb 2019. I love it. I bought it based on Basement Brandon’s review. He’s 6’4 and makes it work. I paid $149 + $10 to get it in red. For what it’s worth, I don’t think I will ever buy another flat bench.
Normally I hate it when I buy the cheap thing only to later replace it. But if $50 is all that’s standing between you and a good workout the amazon bench seems like a good option. Thanks for a another great review.

That was my thought! It’s the perfect bench for someone who only has so much cash to invest in a gym. If it gets you going, might as well buy the Amazon bench. But the Rep bench is very nice, and it’s been perfect for benching. Can’t beat it the price point for its quality! Thanks for comment.

Crazy the price increases right now. Looking at the 4000

I haven’t checked the websites and prices in awhile since our gym is pretty stocked now, but I can’t say I’m surprised. Facebook marketplace can have some great finds, especially in bigger city areas. I know there are Facebook groups for people who sell rogue stuff, but I don’t know about rep. Might be worth looking into if you can get something used for cheaper!

The better comparison would be the Rep FB3000 vs Amazon bench. The FB5000 is much better competition bench

They are definitely in different classes. I was trying to show a cheap option vs the upgrade, not necessarily similar benches.

I noticed before the video started this review is gonna be one sided. your comparing a cheap amazon bench to a bench that's not only an upgraded model but made by a company that actually makes workout equipment. Amazon bench isn't made to be compared to other equipment. its made to be cheap and affordable. I appreciate the review cause its the only legit source for info on the amazon bench. And yes after the review I may get the Rep as well. I personally think a different video of the two may get you more views.

Thanks for the feedback! I agree that it was obvious Rep was going to be the better bench. Many people don’t have hundreds of dollars to drop on equipment and might find a Amazon bench a good, cheap alternative. My video was to show the pros and cons of going with cheap vs quality.

I think that's the whole point. To see if it's worth paying the extra penny for a dedicated flat bench. And what you lose on the Amazon one.

@@rachaelsantoyofit you can show pros and cons without putting them against each other. You can do a pro vs con video with just one product on the video. Screams sponsor to me. That's all.

Great video would you recommend this rep flat bench for someone 6ft ? I loved your gym setup and I will be making my two car garage into something extremely similar. Also one more question for your rogue rack I’m looking into getting the same one but I worry for pull-ups is it a good height for me 6ft or will my feet be on the ground when doing a pull-up lol thanks in advance for your advice. Love the videos

Yes! You should probably double check the measurements, but it’s the same length as the benches they use for olympic lifting competitions. I feel that it’s a very long bench. Depending on how wide your back is, the wide pad might be perfect too. The wide pad gives it a lot of stability. As far as the rack, you would probably be able to reach up and grab the bar pretty easily with the 90” height that we got. I know rogue offers a taller rack but it really depends on your ceilings and how tall of a rack you can buy. Thanks for watching!

@@rachaelsantoyofit great info I really appreciate your response 😀 I’ve been watching your videos and really likes the one you did about the boneyard barbell very good info. I will definitely look into the dimensions on the rack but it looks perfect and a good price as well. I look forward to watching your next fitness video and again thank you for your response God bless and take care.

@@Xrey-tw4sv you could also buy the XM-43M multi grip pull up bar. That would give you a few extra inches too! Pretty sure I’ve seen taller guys do pull ups on the standard height, so I think you’d be fine! Thanks for the comment and hopefully I’ll have a new video uploaded soon.
