I wish I had your patience and mechanical ability. I found a good transmission online for the replacement. I wasn't about to tear into something I knew nothing about. Keep those videos coming, they are very interesting.

Thanks! I never wanted to get into transmissions at all! Yet, here we are. On my Beetle I paid $750 for a rebuilt one. I feel pretty confident now I could rebuild an M40.
