6'10 Serge Ibaka did the only REAL LEGIT free Throw line dunk yet no one talks about it smh.
NBA Reel MJ's foot was way on the line tho but Ibaka's was perfect. Ask Reggie miller.
Hassan Whiteside Headband people forget that it pisses me off because he really did it
Watch James whites windmill free throw line dunk he does it from 3-4 inches behind the line
People forget Mime Conley Sr's as well.... legit behind the line.
Yeah I've seen it not as impressive as james whites tho and it was the european free throw line that is 3 cm or 1 inch further back
wheres serge ibaka
Irfan Bakti ikr
His was actually behind it
do not lie, all he does is shoot 3s
Reuben Ahmed look it up
facts
Ibaka still has the only real behind the line dunk, start giving him more credit!!
pippen has too
You also can't forget about Brent Barry's free throw line dunk
Jordan did a full behind-the-line dunk in the ‘85 contest (they show a brief clip of it in this vid).
Well if he has the same height as the rest who tried it then maybe he’ll get some recognition.
Ibaka .. you dumb
Jordan did his from behind the free throw line in ‘85, but he didn’t pump it like he did the ‘87 and ‘88 ones. I personally prefer the ‘85 one, just because I think it’s cool to do it from actually behind the line, but clearly he’s more remembered for the later ones (and I think those got higher scores).
Y’all missing a lot of other people who have done the free throw line dunks.
Jordan's 1985 Free throw line dunk was honest to that tape
Serge Ibaka did the real free throw line dunk
Because MJ free throw dunk was the most graceful/finesse. Serge ibaka free throw dunk is ugly and unwatchable, that is why nobody remembers it. Lol.
the difference is, MJ was dribbling the ball prior the take off which is a lot harder, while others were just running. i'd say MJ free throw dunk is more impressive.
He’s the only one who didn’t travel
Serge ibaka did it behind the line
Chris Williams Your reply is the stupidest thing I’ve read all day
Chris Williams Well I’m gay so I’ll take that as a compliment my guy
Not a windmill though
He touch a little
Yes
I guess everyone forgot how Serge Ibaka jumped and successfully dunked it from behind the charity strike
Wilt Chamberlain did a legitimate behind the line dunk before any of them. He is the reason the NBA changed to rule for in-game free throws requiring a behind the line finish. With more total length than Yao Ming, his vertical and horizontal did not have to be nearly as much as the players in this vid, but he is the one who actually did it first.
Ibaka...
These are all good in their own right. Dr. J pioneered it. Jordan dribbled, so only his would be in game legal (plus he added a small flourish). Lavine's windmill and east bay are the most visually impressive. And credit Ibaka for doing one legit.
Thats the dumbest arguement ever. So none of vcs dunks were legit just because he never dribbled?
Because MJ free throw dunk was the most graceful/finesse. Serge ibaka free throw dunk is ugly and unwatchable, that is why nobody remembers it. Lol.
1:54 Jordan did it
explain levine 360 free throw line dunk
Dominique,Vince, and Zack are my all time favorite dunkers!
If you on the Bulls you better be able to free throw line dunk
1:12 his head went above the rim 😮
angle
No
Jordan actually has done one where his toes are on the line. Ibaka isn't the farthest btw. Look up Mike Conley's (Yeah the NBA player Mike Conley's dad who happened to be a longjumper) free throw line dunk. And James White has easily taken off with his whole foot behind the line multiple times so.
People only show the 1988 dunk contest but in 1985 Jordan actually dunked from behind the line, and he did the Jumpman dunk on that one.
James Flight White dunked from behind the free throw line.
why use power in Watts instead of force in Newtons.
Power is actually measured in Newton meters per second. It's a lot easier to just say Watts.
Zach Lavine is the most underappreciated dunker in nba history. He could literally give pro dunkers a run for their money in a dunk contest. He makes his difficult dunks look easy. People doesn't appreciate him cuz of the robbery in 2016. To be completely honest, he deserved that win as much as Aaron Gordon.
I think Aaron Gordon is *precisely* why Lavine is "underappreciated". (I don't think so; he's got a good amount of hype and respect.) Those cheering chants about Gordon getting his Dunk Contest win robbed (FOR SURE happened in 2020) puts a bit of distaste on Lavine's '16 run.
Now, if we're talking about Lavine dunking in season games, just look at the roster of the Bulls. They ALL playing and dunkin quite well
Brian Scalabrine dunked behind the halfcourt line
Jordan actually did jump from behind the line
Half court dunk next XD
of course no one mentions Brent Barry who did it with his jacket on :)
behind the line windmill dunk, wow
Sakuragi refeeence
He had more speed because he wasn't bouncing the ball Michael jordan was bouncing the ball that's why he was a bit slower and he still managed to dunk on the free throw line that felt good to be honest I'm going to make my own CZcams videos it's called nba honest videos.
0:10 super rare angle for MJ’s ‘88 free throw line dunk
lol gaining 1 mph faster is a lot easier said than done.
true but lavine is barely running when he does most of his, if he had a dr j like runup he’d get it
Yeah, I remember Serge Ibaka did it
Don't press read more
Damn u a savage
Nick Leavitt hahahahhahaha
Nick Leavitt lol
Ok
Lmao
Hi does anyone have a video of Micheal Jordan's dunk side level view with a stationary camera I'm trying to calculate the science of his dunk but all the videos I could find were with a moving camera on a bad angle.
(Also preferably one of his free throw dunks)
1985 Michael Jordan dunked from behind the free throw line.
Jordan was the only one out of the three that dribbled the ball. That's why he was slower than Doctor J. He did it like an in-game dunk. (No travelling or double-dribble) If I remember it correctly, Pip was the only other player who did it while dribbling. Josh Smith tried to dribble in 2006 contest but gave up after he fumbled it like two dribbles in.
Incidentally, Pip's dunk was also among the furthest free-throw line dunks, although I think he got only 45 or 47. I always thought it was because the dunk looked a bit stiff due to his long arms, and also because it was 1990. People had already seen Doctor J, Nique and MJ, so they needed something with a bit more flare. Which is why the dunks progressively keeps getting more difficult.
Jordan foot was on the line he's the only one that done it
JAMES FRICKIN FLIGHT WHITE IS THE BEST EVER FROM THE FREETHROWLINE LOOK HIM UP. MJ nowhere close to him from there
Pippen did a better dunk
Scottie Pippen in the 1990 dunk contest was behind the line
People don't realize that MJ's first dunk contest he did it behind the line. The other two were Scottie Pippen and Ibaka
JORDAN 1ST SLAM DUNK COMPETITION, HE PUT A TAPE AND WAS VERY HONEST TO THE TAPE.. HE MADE A LEGIT FREE THROW LINE DUNK...
I miss it
THE BEST FREE THROW LINE DUNKS ARE FROM JAMES WHITE HE HAS VIDEO IN A PRO DUNK CONTEST COMPLETING A WINDMILL FROM THE FT LINE AND BETWEEN THE LEGS FROM THE FT LINE
How can you leave out Serge Ibakas TRUE free throw line dunk which was also done in the Dunk Contest? He made it look easy and had sprained his ankle 1 week prior
He kinda steps a little bit forward on free throw line but still god props to zach nice
James white?
What about Vince carter the guy who revived the dunk contest!?
M J = freethrow line dunk
Zach= freethrow line windmill dunk
Zach lavine is the crazy one
LaVine should watched this video😂😂
Serge ibaka was Behind the freethrow line
didn't giannis do that in 2017 or something
Wat about Serge Ibaka he legitimately jumped from behind the free throw line
Didn’t ibaka dunk from before the ft line?
I think Lonnie Walker has the potential to do this
Hope Zach Lavine sees this video
Now try 3 point dunks😂😂😂
No James White? what a shame. JW is by far the best free throw dunker.
What about Ibaka?
Where's Brent Berry
Ivan Solis Brent needs the recognition he deserves
IMO Zach Lavine's one was alot better, the way he just glide through the air like he wasn't even trying.
I think Lavine's dunk to me is more impressive....he windmilled and then between the legs, both were at the same take off point as MJ. MJ's dunk had style and grace, but Lavine's was more creative and harder.
Serge Ibaka is still the only one to take off truly before the FT line...didn't even get a 50 😫
I wonder why they didn't show mine dunks!!! Mmmmm
Conley
Jordan dribbled
What about serge ibaka
the guy just blew his ACL, he's never going to be able to dunk the same way, don't get me wrong, he'll probably still be an elite dunker, but i'm pretty sure he lost some of his hops.
JClarkJumper tore his ACL a couple years back and is jumping higher than ever about 50 inches
You talking about a guy that all he does is basicaly dunking zach lavine is a basktball player, he is not gonna recover and be like: "oh yeah I need to be able to windmill from the freethrow line again", most nba players when they torn their acl's they usualy lose some of their hops for good just because dunking is not that important really, I mean, the guy had a 44' vertical, already won 2 dunk contests, I'm pretty sure he cares more about improving his overall game now than flashy dunks, I bet he gonna come back like blake griffin or d-rose, both who can still dunk hard, but choose not to most of the times.
oh yeah? tell me about jabari parker.... most explosive big man after tearing his acl
You talking like I said that these guys get crippled in a wheelchair for life after an ACL injury, I said they lose some hops, that's it, like, Lavine may comeback with a 42" vert, he'll still be an amazing dunker, but some of it goes away usualy, is that difference of looking down on the rim and looking at eye level, guys are still able to do amazing things at eye level.
You have a way stronger acl after you tear it because of the graph they choose to apply derrick rose's acl is stronger after he tore his acl but he's just scared now
Pipen, ibaka, jordan
Mj with dribble
Russul westbrook next...not always lebrooom
What about Pippen?
Serge ibaka
They forgot James White
What about ibaka
Because MJ free throw dunk was the most graceful/finesse. Serge ibaka free throw dunk is ugly and unwatchable, that is why nobody remembers it. Lol.
Behind the freethrow line? Guess they forgot about serge ibaka.
Heck no mj jumped behind the freethrow line
It's called a free throw line dunk not a behind the free throw line dunk
Giannis
the two were traveling the ball except jordan.
Lavar Ball: My son can dunk on the 3pt line
They just leave out Brent Barry?
What about serge ibacka
Because MJ free throw dunk was the most graceful/finesse. Serge ibaka free throw dunk is ugly and unwatchable, that is why nobody remembers it. Lol.
Pls consider their height also. MJ is the shortest amonth d three.
Brent Barry did it best.
Jordans dunk beats Lavines and even Doctor J's! And you know why? Jordan actually dribbles the ball, doesnt travel, or double dribble and gets it done. ALL the other guys just hold the ball and run to the basket! THAT ladies and gents is why Jordan is the only number 1, Big Daddy!
Jordan have to dribble the ball cause he can't palm it!! Dr. Js dunk while looked more simple was actually the hardest giving the fact that he was running full speed while palming the ball and didn't cuff it like Jordan or handle it with both hands like the other guy!!
@@jsmith469 Jordan cannot palm the basketball.....under what rock have you been living???? 😂🤣😂 One of the things Jordan is known for is palming the ball...watch the videos when he fakes out other players. You clearly have no freakin idea what you are talking about 🤣🤣🤣
@@guillermo5971 not off the dribble!!!! Yeah, he can hold the ball in his hand and extend it......i can do that!! I've never seen him palm the ball off the dribble without touching it with both hands. In fact, Jordan usually cuff the ball!
Serge?
Because MJ free throw dunk was the most graceful/finesse. Serge ibaka free throw dunk is ugly and unwatchable, that is why nobody remembers it. Lol.
So where just gonna forgot serge ibaka dunked behind the
Because MJ free throw dunk was the most graceful/finesse. Serge ibaka free throw dunk is ugly and unwatchable, that is why nobody remembers it. Lol.
lol what about ibaka
Because MJ free throw dunk was the most graceful/finesse. Serge ibaka free throw dunk is ugly and unwatchable, that is why nobody remembers it. Lol.
honestly lavine freethrow line dunk is much better than jordan version including "airness" ooops someones triggered :D
No pippen???
this is the reason why i hate lbj mj athletic abillity comparasion because athletes get better as time goes on
Zach doesn’t dribble…i like jordan’s dunk he dribbles like it’s an actual in game dunk…
Jordan just looks better doing it lol and he was behind line..1:55 Jordan was behind line
Mj was dribbling on his way to dunk
Between the legs tho
Maybe not he got injured
Who else hates there life
mj was slower bc he dribbled
(edit) and in the 1985 dunk contest he did a " legit " free throw line dunk look it up. and i could make a rant about people not giving mj credit for doing it three times and the first one being " legit " in his rookie season and he was the first person to do it " legit " also look at 1:54 and pause tell me what you see then you can continue your rant about serge ibaka
While Jordan's iconic free throw dunk is his best dunk, Vince doing free throw line dunks for practice and charity games. If we talkin bout dunks, Vince is the G.O.A.T NBA Dunker. Lavine is just a better one leg leaper and reason is cause he's lighter than VC. I've seen Zach dunk with two legs and it ain't that impressive.
