When a dairy farmer sprays liquid manure on the fields for hay, hay silage, or corn silage, is this a type of regenerative farming without livestock being on the fields? Our fields are lush because of this and not weedy (although smelly at times). Stepdad is a dairy farmer and says if they don’t fertilize it this way, it will just go weedy and not be useful.

To the question about differences in mineral content & how it may affect the milk, I’ve been wondering about seed plants: sunflowers, safflowers, sesame, etc. There’s concern with consuming too many of those seeds or even some nuts or their oils due to the higher level of omega 6 vs omega 3.
What I’ve wondered if the soil has everything it needs, would those seeds have a balanced content of both omega 3 & 6? I think of Paul Gaouchi and his Back to Eden garden and how much more flavor, visitors noticed in his fruits & veggies.

Do you know how to eradicate creeping charlie organically? We have sheep, goats and chickens on 3 acres and the creeping charlie is insane. It has smothered out our forms, legumes and grasses. We had ran hogs through there a few years back to try and resolve it, but it proved to be insufficient.
We just started using the mineral buffet last year and are hoping to see improvements in herd and soil/pasture health.
