    Ladies cutting their hair was introduced in schools during colonisation. Unfortunately, it has become a norm. We need to change that going forward.
    Enjoy your stay.

      Short hair has a lot of practical benefits if you are still in school because hair care is very expensive (this is why working ladies always ask for money from their men😅)😂😂

      Yes, it’s is one of left over effect of colonialism that Ghana has embraced. I want the Ghana school system should to get rid of. Ghanaian children should be allowed to keep their whole going to school, and put a mandate that it should be natural until they reach high school or after high school. But i see more and more school children who are going to school now in Ghana with their hair not being cut and are in some form of beautiful hair braids.

    People saying the low cut is a legacy of colonialism. Maybe but its been long enough. Its low maintenance, less stress for girls & parents. Usually from maybe 17/18 they grow the hair and from then onwards they keep it. No complaints but hey I'm a guy

    Don't talk about Uber or Bolt or Yango in Ghana!!!Remember Jamaica just got Uber!!!Uber and Bolt has been in Ghana for many years.

    • @richandanna
      @richandanna  Před 2 měsíci +2

      It doesn’t matter. We have other local taxi companies , route taxis , government buses , coaster buses and mini buses . Doesn’t change the point I made about the small cars used for bolt and yango

    Her first experiences in Ghana are frankly a little too trivial.....😂😅 I expected some Pan Africanist sentiment about stepping back on MOTHERLAND Africa😊❤😊Or being in Ghana - the land of Kwame Nkrumah - the champion of African Unity, who was very close to the African diaspora, including Jamaicans😅❤ Anyways, welcome home to Mama Africa❤😅

    Guys relax, everything she talked about was her first experience within a week, she couldn't explore all of ghana's beauty within that time and talk about it in such short time.
    And lets be honest if she was to sit and talk about jamaica it would be the same thing or little bit more trust me.😅

    The low cut hair is low maintenance for mothers unless they know how to braid hair and also in schools its a deterrent to head lice its easier to keep it clean. If you are a young girl so long as your hair is well kempt most schools are okay and would permit..The heavy breakfast is optional there, are many who don't heavy plates of rice for breakfast. Workers in general, prefer heavy duty breakfast because some of the jobs are labour intensive and they want to eat heavy meals so that they don't feel hungry.

      Jamaica also has some bad roads. Does that change the fact that Ghana also has bad roads?

  • @oseiosei6649

    I gave it a chance, but I couldn’t finish watching this video. It has this toxic western colonial undertone of ‘I better than you; you are beneath me’;
    Anyway, enjoy your stay in Ghana.
