There is a very valid logical reason for this. And Mantashe actually admitted it. Who would not HATE the removal of an "A.T.M" of gigantic proportions? Diesel supply via PetroSA for the Escom generators. Forget the fact that PetroSA was payed for by the citizens of our country. When asked what Escom paid for the diesel Mantashe stated basically that it was "confidential." There is your answer friend.
These are the benefits of democracy.
While they were assured of keeping power it was more important for them to loot eskom. The threat of losing power made them halt the looting. This proves that the ANC and their "business partners" are 100% responsible for the looting and can stop it at any time.

Each suburb in East of Joburg has formed their own clean up crews or various ones to stop the urban decay, including the informal settlements. I love the drive and will of South Africans to do more and to do it better!

What you say about Ekurhuleni is true. It is completely broke. As a resident I can confirm that everything is breaking down and nothing is getting fixed. They do not even have money to replace bulbs in street lights. The lights in my street do not work at all and it's been like that for a long time now. Potholes are appearing everywhere and don't get fixed.
This is true of many places. Potholes getting bigger and no street lights almost everywhere even main roads are pitch black at night.
