As someone who is 21 years old (I’ll be 22 soon), this song just.. is me. I’m about to finish collage and I look around at people I know, people I follow on socials.. all I can think about is why I’m not there.. how I’m not even in the race. I don’t even know how to be somebody.. and no one can tell me the answer. I don’t want to join the rat race and work 24/7 just to survive. I want to live a life that I won’t regret living when I die. But I just don’t know how to be anything..
I'm about to be 19 I never got to go to college and I don't think I ever will. I make less than $200 a week and work 2 jobs and depend on my boyfriend to keep me alive. Im an irresponsible person who spends her money on clothes when I should be saving for rent but I never can.

I cried at this. I never allow myself to cry, never have but this got emotions out I've bottled up for about 2 years now. My reason? I was off school today and I looked out o my window, I'm Scottish so we rarely get sun, but it was pretty sunny today, I got flashbacks of years ago, my biggest anger was homework, my biggest fear was nightmares, sadness was petty argument and biggest jealousy was not having a fancy rubber that someone else did. I remember playing outside with a boy I said that I hated but he was actually one of my best friends, I remembered all of my internet friends from years ago, smiling and laughing. Now, I don't go out much, the boy moved house, the only internet friends I've got are real ones who stick by me, some I don't talk to often and we're all depressed and riddled with anxiety. I played this song and balled my eyes out the cause of the nostalgia and thought of how times have changed, those emotions I've bottled up. Thank you.
