Great video but remember any time you’re going to change the oil pan gasket General Motors has a defect gasket on your oil pump, remove the oil pump spout because there is a gasket there that actually cracks or breaks in half and it will give you low oil pressure readings. Remember to buy that gasket at the dealership so that way you cannot go wrong because if you buy it from China or from somebody else that makes it you are going to run across some issues and the dealership Has improved on the O-ring and also on the oil pan there is a shield where the oil spout head goes down into the bottom of the oil pan you need to remove it to clean in there because you’ll find a lot of metal shavings sometimes also that will give you an idea if you have some serious issues with bearings or the block. That’s just my suggestion and another thing before you’re going to work underneath the car and it’s full of grease go to a local car wash use their degreaser for about 10 minutes all underneath the lower A-frame the lower of the motor just soak it let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes and then go back and Pressure wash all the degreaser and you will see it will clean it all up and you won’t get that much crap in your eyes but I highly recommend to go to Harbor freight somewhere cheap and buy you a plastic face shield to keep any sand or anything from falling in your eyes that’s all I have my brothers and sisters God bless you all and remember Jesus Christ is coming very very soon so repent because I wanna see you in heaven with me one day God bless you all take care don’t forget except the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. ✝️✝️✝️

Why didn't he use High Tack on the pan & gasket bottom? Once in place it is in place. Having not sprayed the block should you ever need to remove it again, hopefully not, it will come off with the same effort as the first time. Also, all the pan bolt threads need to be wire wheeled and if possible, run a tap down the threads as well. Maybe the issue as to why pans continue to leak. To get true torque setting this step shouldn't be avoided. One last point, use a Scotchgard pad by hand or 90 degree die grinder with a Scotchgard disk. Micro scratches on steel not such a big deal, aluminum different story. The whole point is do it right the first time, no? But than again, do what you feel is best, LOL. PS: Protective gear, your head, hands, elbows, ears and eyes. Ck out the nice dent on his right elbow.

To make it easier to remove oil sensor plug, just loosen it so that the clip on the plug faces down. Way easier than trying to pic it with clip on top.
