- This is a longplay of Montezuma Again! (romhack from Montezuma's Revenge for Atari 8bit computers) played on Altirra Emulator. It's very challenging and difficult. Here I go through all the rooms, down to the 2nd level.

Somewhere around 25 years ago, I had a dream in which i played super hard version of Montezuma. It looked like this! Non-standard rooms, shaped in a wierd and different way, than in the original game.

The same thing happened to me. Except I was nude and on a beach. The next day mom yelled at me for getting sand on the fancy livingroom rug.
@@craziamiThe same thing happened to me, except that I woke up next to a Lithuanian John Deere Tractor salesman midget named Mr Contwashay and then he told me about the many wonders of under water basket weaving and how it promotes a healthy outlook on finding your inner diva. Then we had pancakes.
Fortunately there is no time limit. I remember I got a version that was written in the opening screen this:

F10 Return to Menu (sic!)
Somewhat crazy menu. To exit you couldn't use the Esc key; you needed to press Ctrl-Alt-Del for it.
The version you show in this video we could say as a "hot burning" one, don't you think so?
This is sheer craziness. It makes those Mario Maker levels look like a joke. What a game. It’s like a precursor to Super Mario Bros. as well as Legend of Zelda.
I think this is one of the best Atari games ever made. I loved that game. I played it over 25 (or maybe 30?) years ago. Great job!

Мантезума древняя игра, появилась на свет 1983 году. В школе в неё играл с 1987 по 1993 года.
@@zolotoi1980 Не пиши бред! Тут показаны совершенно другие комнаты и строение этих комнат, я прекрасно знаю как выглядела игра в 80-х годах и сам играл в неё много раз. Ты пишешь общие фразы не вникая в суть моего комментария и ты не внимательно посмотрев видео. Игра которая демонстрируется в данном видео не похожа на игру в которую мы играли в детстве, это переделанная в наше время игра в другую версию.
@@ThePlate1977 Пишеш бред ты. Эта древняя игра. В Фергане Узбекистан именно в эту я играл. От того что ты в неё не играл, это не означает что эта новая игра.
@@zolotoi1980 В этом и фишка что я её знаю наизусть. Там было 9 этапов и последний 9 этап я практически без факела в слепую играл и каждый раз возвращался обратно в 9 этап. Эта игра была на компе Атари XE. А то что в этом ролике это усовершенствованная игра и с большим разнообразием и переделкой комнат. Эта игра вышла не в 83 году, а намного позже.
Да, это другая игра на базе той самой монтезумы, называется Montezuma Again (в описании к видео написано)
Empecé a verlo y no pude parar... Impresionante!! Qué manera de pasar susto y gritarle a la pantalla! Jajajaja lo jugué mucho cuando era chica y después en emuladores. Ver esta versión fue toda una montaña rusa de emociones! Una maravilla ver cómo cada elemento del juego está en su máxima expresión ❤ esas bandas correderas o como se llamen eran del terror!
Y tengo una duda enorme... Ese sombrero negro que se ve y que no come... OMG. Estuve esperando a que volviera por él todo el tiempo!! Jajajajaja maravilloso.

It is not from Montezuma's Revenge, but Preluminary Monty 16k mod. Played today and scored 120800 at end. I will be continue playing level 2 and 3 later. maybe on stream :) Original Monty has 9 levels with a little different locations and more enemies. here at first sight is no difference. btw, your gameplay seems faster than original. I use Atari800Win Plus 4.0 with 100% of real Atari speed.

This is first mod of MONTEZUMA from ATARI. The dungeon is harder, and is inspired from game MIDNIGHT MANSION. Don't missing the deaths, but has more lives left. Near the entrance, you can find a white key, if you go right from starting location where you find a room simmilar with this at minute 1:50. At the room at minute 22:50 you also can climb through wall for to can reachs easy at the additional stairs. The room at minute 24:55 is most annoyfull room. At the room fully lasers at minute 6:10 exists a bug, that you can descend into invisible rope continuation to at bellow room where Pedro can be trapped in score restroom.

The user anime developers LANKYBOX planning also to make a game simmilar with MONTEZUMA'S REVENGE with character one from the cute little boys Justin and Adam from their clips animations posted on CZcams SHORTS where dungeons contains and mechanisms like in game HERO WARS not only classic Montezuma's traps and some dark rooms, but the monsters would be inspired from the games POPPY PLAYTIME and RAINBOW FRIENDS and GARTEN OF BANBAN and SQUID GAME and SONIC EXE HORROR and PROJECT PLAYTIME, the rooms in those dungeons would be with different dimensions that the bigger would be show with scrolling (like in iphone game PHARAOH REVENGE) where maze may contains irregular links (like in JET SET WILLY and PRINCE OF PERSIA 4D and ZX PANAMA JOE), dungeons will be designed like in LANKYBOX animations from CZcams SHORTS and from TIKTOK channel, with same graphic like in HERO WARS, game would contains same soundtracks from LANKYBOX's animations, the difficulty will be like in MONTEZUMA'S REVENGE and MIDNIGHT MANSION.

jugaba el 1 sin apagar 3 o 4 dias, sin perder, al llegar al final se reiniciaba, lo hice unas 30 y la oscuridad iba subiendo en la piramide hasta llegar casi hasta los primeros pisos, menos los ultimos 2, creo que no se podia hacer mas, al final apage sin perder, lo mismo con el bruce lee, saludos de puerto montt, chile

During the game, when Pedro descends through the pipes, sometimes an iridescent sound is heard, which I have never heard in the standard version of the game, it seems that this is an indication of the transition between the floors of the pyramid, but maybe I'm wrong?

Wow, this is amazingly hard. I guess no kid could complete this back in the 1980s, should it have emerged there! I guess the room at 18:07 was hardest. Those moving escalators, each moving in its own direction, cause a lot of confusion. I remember playing the last level of Mr. Robot where there also was a lot of escalators. It was very hard and caused a lot of frustration. The room at 21:09 reminds me of Bruce Lee game!

What kind of joystic you are using?
Not interested in higher difficulty. This game was hard enough as is. Increased fun would be definitely welcome. It was the dark levels where you couldn't see where you were going that always bothered me. This was a really cool game back in it's day. There was Pitfall and there was this game.
