We finally made the big move with the camper to our property! Productivity will hopefully be going up as we won’t have to commute back and forth to get anything done.
Just before the big move, the guys got one of the cabin gable ends done and started on rafters! We will be renting scaffolding soon to get the other gable end complete and finish up the rafters across the whole cabin. We are well on our way to getting the roof done.

Oh, that sweet baby Henry! Soo cute! Us parents will almost do anything for our children, especially when it will help them. It’s hard for us to say No, regardless of the request/need…….BUT that loving Dad/father-in-law has all of us beat! I know both of you know this and appreciate his help and the older you get, the more you will appreciate and treasure his help. Thought I was The best Mom, but not when it comes to your Dad. Half n Half rafter's is a good thinking idea... it will take longer.. but its summer...more flies...longer time.. but it will be stable...
Suggestion Build a Wood shed for this years Winter.. it will be DRY wood...and all the dead logs around the property will be in a clear pile.
We plan to start on a wood shed as soon as we get the cabin dried in!

Maybe it is just me, but every time i see the men working up on them ladders and carrying heavy logs up them ladders i feel sick to my stomach. I don't know how you do it Becca, but i would have a migraine headache watching that with the fear of one of them falling or hurting themselves or something dropping like a big log and hitting one of you or the dogs. I hope they continue to be safe and get home safe. You can tell your FIL knows what he is doing. Stay blessed and congratulations on getting so far on the log cabin.

So awesome to see you guys this far. End of June is going to be looking pretty good I think with the progress made so far. You'll be dried in and doing interior stuff. When do the flies and skeeter's get bad? Anyway looking good, be safe.
Last year about the second week of June the mosquitoes got pretty bad so hopefully we can be pretty close by then!
