- Prime Minister Modi lauded the newly elected Lok Sabha Speaker OM Birla for condemning the Emergency imposed by then PM Indira Gandhi. BJP leaders observed silence in memory of the people who suffered during the Emergency. Later, BJP leaders waved placards and protested outside Parliament. So, what message was BJP trying to send across? Is this a deliberate strategy to counter INDIA Bloc's narrative of saving the Constitution? Is Modi trying to portray that he is still unaffected by the fractured LS mandate? Will the Opposition get the post of Deputy Speaker? Will the BJP continue to undermine Parliamentary democracy?

What is so indecent about it? Is there anything wrong in what he said? It is OK if opposition creates a fake narrative during election that BJP wants to change constitution. A strong reply was needed.

Observing silence for those who suffered in rape,lynching,bulldozing and hate crimes during the last ten years ,during COVID lockdown and demonetization would need five years total silence in parliament😂.
THANK YOU for so brilliantly shining a light on the truth as regards whats happening in our country over the past ten years. Being so eloquent about the emergency that happened 50 years ago does not negate the fact that similar evil acts go on to this day under the current regime. Any amount of pretending by this regime to divert attention is just making the stage managed event by clowns irrelevant.

Ruling party cannit critique Emergency while promoting authoritarianism like attack of free press, use if ED for selective target , deaconian oreventive detention laws to kerp pokitical prisoners, activists, journalists in jail. People want ruking party to come down. Hope they do so. With OM Birla as speaker it appears very bleak. And with Nitish and TDP sold out. Opposition must act smartly. React carefully.

Modi, till now, has not been averse to failure. He was Chief Minister of Gujarat for 12 years and Prime Minister for 10 years. He has always enjoyed the pleasures of position, power, luxurious life and enjoying foreign tours & benefits. Modi has refrained from facing any controversial incidents (Chinese encroachments, Mizoram riots, natural disasters/riots in any state and many more). Courage and skill are necessary to face such dilemmas.
Now a person with such a mindset does not even imagine failure. Moreover, the memories of big scandals and cruel revenge on opponents for so many years make him more distressed and he is struggling to face the present situation. Because of that, his confused state is evident from talking about everything that seems to be untrue.

BJP crossesall standards of decency and amplifies isolated events. 75% of hate speech events took place in BJP ruled states and by so called PRIME MINISTER .
BJP frequently reiterates its contempt for the constitution and indeed the rule of law that people of the country enjoy.The ordinary voters could be easily influenced by an appeal in the name of religion.
