Superheroes are often as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and sometimes even as revered as gods. But that's when they're using their powers for good. What happens when the heroes go rogue and start abusing their powers? When it's the powerless against the super powerful, the Boys head out on a heroic quest to expose the truth about the Seven and Vought, the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. Based on the comic book series of the same name.

Butcher smiling with his bloody mouth really reminds me of the face doomguy makes when he’s in berserk mode in low health.
Same lol
Funny that you said that, Karl Urban played Doomguy in the 2005 Doom film.
@@och1443 Yeah. Without a beard he looks uncannily a lot like doom guy.
RIP AND TEAR..... RIP AND TEAR..... RIP AND TEAR!!!!
Doomguy health does need to be low. Otherwise no one would pose a big enough threat to make his heart beat.
For those that might not know, making my heart beat is another saying like 'break a sweat '. But also I chose heart beat as the saying instead because I wanted to make a meta joke about the context of not knowing what berserk is.
The smile on Butcher's face whenever he gets to throw hands with a supe is elite lmao
Bro was straight BEAMING when he got to fight Homelander with an even playing field lol
@@toogee1850 Wouldn't anyone?
Equal parts demented, savage, terrifying, and hilarious. Basically the entire show in one expression.
My personal theory, in series finale of this show, the Boys will use compound-V to engineer a compound that temporarily strips a supe of their powers. They'll then feed this to Homelander via his milk obsession, and then Billy will finally get to throw down with Homelander on his own level.
@@Etherealsightinga one on one,yess
3:20 Watching this scene again I just realized,
Hughie was the one screaming. Not Translucent lol
bro ... just noticed that after your comment .. lol always thought it was translucent who screamed
Wtf, lol i just noticed it after this comment haha
Yeap xd
Oh shit
Translucent was being shocked which force's your body to lock so he couldn't scream
I like how the fight shows that not all supes are extremely strong, just really durable
true, most of the superheroes in the tv show adaptation don't have supervillains with equal strength. As a result, they don't have combat experience since they're surrounded by powerless humans. They're more like celebrities than actual heroes since many of the threats are things the police can take care of.
@@Giorgos906 He is strong, he just can't fight. Which is why he gets his ass kicked by alfred and batman.
Facts. Even with invisibility, if it wasn't for the extra tough skin, Translucent would have gotten his ass beat by Butcher. You can just feel the impact of the punches in the camera, lmao.
@@LL-id5ijwho
Superhero durability and streight is all over the place, sometimes a normal person can punch them to death, Stormfront is inmune to bullets but somehow a knife can cut her eye, others die by bullets and Homelander survives a nuke but a pencil almost killed him.
I feel like Billy's perfect drinking partner is the Punisher.
second
The character of Billy Butcher is supposed to be a pastiche of the Punisher.
Funny you say that, I came to this video directly from the Punisher bar fight video 🍻
Love that idea, big respect to you 👏
The guy who made the boys always so write for the punisher for a time, like 2005 or 2006 I think
@4:30 This is still one of my favorite moments in the show, just Butcher’s calm voice “Yea so I’m not really a fed” followed by Hughie’s reaction. Pure Gold
and his little head thrust like "so what it's no big deal" hahaha
@@liamreilly951 the fucking head nudge sends me every time
Ifkr, just a magical pilot to any show

Wrong timestamp.
I want to see Karl Urban in a Tarantino film. Giving him that kind of dialogue would be legendary.
Quentin’s about to make his final film, and I feel like Karl Urban most likely wouldn’t be there. Though yeah, Quentin would give the most perfect dialogue imaginable
@@juanjoyaborja.3054 Working with Quentin as an actor or actress is like being a chef apprentice for that third Micheline star. It's quite the purgatory, and in many cases not that fun. Karl Urban is reportedly not that interested in projects that can't be any fun on set, which isn't exactly uncommon among actors and actresses.
Don't you mean DIABOLICAL?
Quentin is an anarcholiberal pervert. People with any shard of decency refuse to play parts in his group therapy sessions / "movies".
Or Guy Richie
Can you imagine watching this from outside the store💀
Guy walking by watching them fight the air lol. “The fuck is happening here??”
“Ah shit looks like they both have DID”
“Oh wait how can they share the same personality Wtf”
“Eh must be an acid trip”
best mime show ever
Fight Club😂
I love how in this scene they perfectly sum up who Butcher is. He lets Translucent smacks him couple of times so he bleeds, then spits on him to see where Translucent's head is (so he can punch him), and smears blood on hands so he can keep track of where punches are incoming.
Also goes in completly confident and gets beat up
Figured that out all on your own did you? 🙄
@@xJaaku Yes. Problem?
And then gets taken down by a kick because he didn't have an opportunity to spit blood on his legs/feet yet.
I wonder... Is Translucent stronger in any possible way other than being hard to detect?
Even if he's just very slightly stronger. Other than that, what a fkin boring hero lmao
Could literally die by accident if an attack is directed at someone else but he's in the way.
Billy’s “well well well, if it ain’t the invisible c*nt” and then defining the word translucent, have always been a couple of my favorite lines from this series so far. 😂😂
It really makes me wonder who invisible a person could really be while still having a physical body. Dust and dirt stick to our skin pretty easily. In normal lighting conditions, translucent would be pretty easy to spot most likely.
He'd also have to make his eyes visible or he wouldn't be able to see
@@Wolfencreek excellent point. His eyes have to capture the light. If they're invisible then visible light passes through them and isn't captured
@@Wolfencreek Depends on how his power actualy works. If its passively just letting the light through then ya. If its actively redirecting the light he could probably just get away with making the pupils visible. Light goes in but outside observers just see 2 tiny black dots floating around. on most messy backgrounds it would be like trying to track a fly moveing around. you might catch glimpses of something but its very hard to focus on and track.
Maybe it's something like a field that distorts the light around him?
@Merendel it would arguably be easier than a fly for a lot of people. Once someone figures out it's a person they're fighting and not two weird flies, they can much more easily predict the movement of the person even without seeing their whole body
Kudos to billy butcher for going head first against someone invisible. It takes guts to fight someone you can’t even see
And not only that, he LITERALLY went head first
semi transparent you mean
@@riderchallenge4250 ☝🤓
Translucent yelling "champions of the innocent" to the guy who's head he's about to smash with a TV 😂😂
I love it when he smiles like a maniac during fight scenes
Translucent's greatest weakness; a box of paint....
Or hit the sprinkler system...
@@doubledouble4g379and fill it with paint instead of water
Or wear infra-red goggles. Or just turn the lights off so everyone's blind.
@@wishingwell12345 Modern problems require modern solutions.
Ah. This scene reminded me why we shouldn't feel bad about Hughie killing him. And why Hughie wasn't in the wrong.
Butcher using his own blood to see Translucent is the most metal thing ever
I can't believe they got Brad Pitt for this role…
Is that supposed a deadpool 2 reference?
@@Itsdarkghostxd yes it is.
could also be a tyler durden reference
And we are past the john cena jokes. The one time that it is actually applicable and noone made a john cena joke
Lets be honest considering Translucent's powers Billy should have had his hands broken by punching him. He's punching indestructible metal.
Its not a plot hole though just a bit of a plot contrivance
only his skin is hard, he still has flesh underneath, and his brain can still rattle around in his head when someone moves his head really fast.
@@Ajaxlancer ah like getting hit by a 50 cal anti materiel rifle?
@@tj4y48 if he was shot in the head sure, it should have knocked him out cold. But frenchie shot blindly and probably hit him in the chest.
I think it's more like a Kevlar that can withstand a bullet impact but a blunt trauma is useless against it.
Imagine this fight if Hughie had temp V, two indestructible naked guys duking it out in a TV repair store.
Karl was born to play Billy!
I love this fight scene so much :D
Butcher clarifying that by 'boot' he was referring to the trunk of the car as if thats what Huey meant is hilarious. Then the argument that follows is priceless
I just came here to see Karl Urban enjoying himself so friggin much lol. The man may not have gotten a sequel to DREDD 3D like he wanted, but now he's on one of the best shows since forever
Yeah, not getting a ‘Dredd’ sequel sucks, but ‘The Boys’ is definitely a great substitute to what we never got.
Okay, I know the whole narrative point of his capture was to make Huey kill him, but why wasn't the first thing they thought of was to drown him ? He was unconscious, a sink would have done the job.
Because the writers of this show aren't as smart as everyone else thinks they are
@@prefersdocile9688 I agree that the writing is flawed sometimes, but this problem is easily overcame. Translucent had a chip in him, and taking him out of the zinc-coated room would immediately put him under Vought’s radar. It probably also contains his vital signs, so if they found out that they were being altered by a life-threatening event, they would instantly send Homelander or A-train to find out the perpetrators. Something that would kill him without Vought being able to locate the place of his death was important.
@@juanjoyaborja.3054 They could've easily drowned him in the zinc-coated room... Frenchie was able to knock him out to put a bomb up his ass. Why not just bring in a bucket of water?
@@squallstopher608 Reflex action would kick in, and since he’s so strong, he’d resist the drowning very easily. They could have filled the room with water, but it wouldn’t give for a fantastic character-developing scene like the one we got.
@@juanjoyaborja.3054I think they did explain a reason that they didn’t try to drown/suffocate him in the show (in episode 2)
Not taking his side, but technically Tranclucent did his job kinda, saw a threat to the tower and wanted to deal with it.
Oh so that’s what he was doing in the womens restroom. He was identifying threats.
People saying that he should've let Homelander handle it.. No fvcking way.
Homelande would've told Translucent to fvck off and do it himself.
@@MrJaxKnife did you not see the "not taking his side" part, or just ignore it?
@@xobler2508 I was just making a joke but since you got your panties in a bunch I’ll just say it’s a weak argument regardless. “Just following orders” hasn’t been a valid excuse since WW2.
@@MrJaxKnife good man👌
I saw clips and previews of The Boys way before I watched it, and I was kind of expecting Butcher to have some kind of enhancements that would have allowed him to see Translucent, like some heat vision contact lenses or something, but no, he was totally fighting him blind, using his blood to paint him visible.
That's even more badass!!!
"If it ain't The Invisible C***." I love Karl Urban.
All I see is Doom Guy when Karl Urban has that diabolical smile.
Ironic considering Karl urban was in that old doom movie.
He knows how and when to improvise
Great scene! Thanks for the upload!
1:34 when dad comes back from buying cigarettes right on time
3:29 to 3:47 : The background theme "Take you down" was a perfect fit for that takedown
This is where I decided to watch the whole season.
Holy shit that overhead shot of the car smashing into Translucent is insane
0:55 Hughie not telling Translucent about Billy Butcher was one of the bravest thing he's done
Dude plays that character so well 😂👍
3:19 amazing line read lmao
THE BOYS = BEST SHOW ON TV!!!!!
Was.
Season 2 n 3 was a fuckin disappointment
The drop in quality is palpable
Nah
It did?
They rarely run long scenes like this, it feels like there is no time to just sit in a scene anymore.
I like how punches carry kinetic energy, and he is clearly affected by them. But a .50bmg did shit all.
This is one of those plot tools, like more bad guys are almost always easier to fight than just one. "Rule of cool" is the writer's term.
I've thought about how it would be hard for an invisible person to stay completely invisible. They'd collect dust that would, over time, make them more and more visible. The moisture from the air as well. You'd see them, but just a light outline of a person.
"Then who the f**knare you?" That detective is the right question.
2:29 so creepy smile... Brrr!
"I know you're lying. I can see right through you."
never understood how dude can have bullets from a sniper bounce off of him but a punch from a normal human knocks his head around
Im waiting for huey to just grab some baby powder lol
The song playing makes any fight scene all the better
Jack Quaid pro actor, loved his and Homelander's aka Tony Starr's acting ❤️❤️
I miss this Butcher.
Man hughie’s changed a lot through the seasons
I forgot how good the pilot was
Translucent is one of the person with strongest skin and incredible strength than the average human. Amd he has invisible power too.
Butcher average human tries to fight him with valor.
Kudos to that character
I really prefer this over everyone just having super powers. I think it's a lot cooler to have normal people finding creative ways to take down supers and remind them they're mortal.
Homelander doesn't have a kryptonite though. It's literally impossible for an average joe to kill him. The rest, like The Deep, A-Train and such are easy.
I love that, from the get-go, we see that Hughie's got a lot more in him that meets the eye. From the way he perfectly hid his emotion like a poker player from A-train, to being smart enouigh to device a strategy against translucent from a bit of trivia he casually saw on TV, we get to see that, when pushed into a corner, the badass in him comes out.
Butchers smile is what drives interest
The moment that bloody smile came on Butcher’s face I knew I was gonna like this guy.
“Let’s get him in the boot”
“What?!”
“Let’s get him in the trunk”
😂😂 makes me laugh for some reason
1:58 when a ghost hunter catches a ghost on camera
Dude Butcher is such a badass lol just fights an invisible supe with his fists like a goddamn man
3:36 Oi... when you work in construction and remodeling, the way electrical stuff works in media hurts to watch...
A lot of things don't work like entertainment shows them. Guns, falling from more than four inches, transparent computer displays, lighting inside helmets, enhancing images, waking up in the morning without nasty breath, drool cheek or goofy hair...
I love it when Butcher makes Smirky face😂❤
Even with diamond skin, you can still get a concussion.
Yeah, but Billy's hands should have been hamburger meat.
This scene is how I knew this show was for me
Nothing will top the rollercoaster of feelings that developed during this scene and everything else leading up to it NOTHING (unless we’re talking about hxh’s 13th chairmen election arc) NOT ANYTHING ELSE
his cake was baked
Someone using their own blood to identify where an invisible superhero is, has to be one of the grittiest things in a tv show thus far
Great show!
Omg!...that butcher's smile(3:16)😂
The scene was moderately funny, then the voice crack at the end. My funeral will be this Saturday at 7pm
Serious Hollow Man vibes with the bloody invisible man holding a crowbar 😂
Butcher is as tough as nails for taking punches from a supe.
110 volts coming out of that receptacle.
Looooooce this show !! Best ever !!
One of the best scenes 🤣
This was still the best fight scene in my opinion
Butcher smile
This fight. Fucking diabolical.
This scene made me love butcher
I like the implication that butcher doesn't watch Jimmy Fallon, he said it'll take him forever to figure out translucent's weakness if it wasn't for that
1:42 is this a reference to the Terminator? Scene at the police station, same car )
Yall need a nuclear powerplant to have one TV running? Sheesh
The way Butcher fights is very generic but oddly satisfying
Kinda wish the show was nothing but this. Every episode or two, they murder another supe.
It would of made for a more interesting premise than all the political intrigue bullsh**. The worst of it is just how few supes actually get killed by them in the series. To the point where it's confusing what the actual goal was here. Homelander has killed something like 10 times the number of supes they have lmao.
1:34 Amazing shot.
Classic scene
As an electrician I have to say....
IT DOESNT WORK LIKE THAT
The moral of the story: an invincible superhero's only vulnerable part is his ass.
Bro is naked and you couldnt see the device when he walked in, think about that for a second.....
this fight is so cool
RIGHT DOWN MAIN STREET!
once butcher smiles at you during a fight, you lost.
Butcher was such a Chad he was capable of holding his own against a member of the Seven in hand to hand combat with no powers whatsoever, up until he got knocked down and Hughie gave him a 440 amp enima.
So where did translucent have the bug at 0:36 🤔 where'd he pull it from 😂
The intro: OMG HUGHIES BEING BEATEN UP BY JOHN CENA! 😂
I mean, am I the only one who's thinking about where he stored the bug while entering the shop? It appears from visibly nowhere, but a male body only has so many holes to have the bug in so it won't be visible while he walks.
Shocked his Gluteus Maximus.
The classic bloody grin of Butcher, haha. Did I mention it's classic?
2:09 ha! That's the best part of this scene. Ha! Also 3:00 was funny with the music cutting off
NGL, the way Butcher countered Translucent’s invisibility is exactly how I thought Daredevil would counter the Hand ninjas’ no heartbeat crap. Let them beat him bloody, and constantly splatter them with his blood to locate them.
