I owned one of the first ones back in 2000, I owned it for 13 years. Then my son bought one of his own when he was 18, he still has it now he is 25. As a kid he used to sit on mine so naturally he was heading towards one. A magnificent and beautifully designed italian. 🤗
Thanks for making this video. Your bike is so clean, you obviously truly care about it. This is my favourite motorcycle of all time, and I hope to obtain one of my own sometime.
H2 is for special people. Ugliest bike out there, But it’s so fast, it requires the right person for it. This MV Augusta is a time piece that will be iconic for many years to come, along with Ducati’s 748-998.
My favourite bike EVER. They’re so beautiful. I’ll buy one when the insurance gets lower. I’m 26 years old and have been riding for just under 10 years, but my insurance is still almost £8,000 for the year.
im 14 now, hope one day i will be able to wake up and walking in my garage with this beast waiting for me and at its side the mv agusta brutale 1000 :)
I had this exact bike back in 2008 and sold it a few years later. I was going to sell the matching red/silver jacket and the wife said dont sell the jacket, get another MV. My 'new' 2005 should be delivered next month....cant wait! Great bikes!
Had the 2012 with the corsa corsa motor . Great bike and reliable contrary to popular belief. Best looking bike ever built no question. Tamburini was a genius.
I love these bikes because they have a classic feel and style but with modern engine performance, the styling hasn't really changed over the past 10 years plus which is what makes this really unique and 'classic' today but every few years they have been improving the performance to meet the performance of the other 1000 competitors. What a lovely bike, sounds amazing!
Thanks. These really are great bikes. Still fast even by today's standards and the styling has not been left behind. In another 10 years it will still be beautiful.
To me, the Ducati 916 was the one that got away. Last month I saw by chance a 2015 F4 RR and bought it as a birthday present to myself. The F4 is so underappreciated. So sublime. It rides better than it looks, if that was possible. And that soundtrack....oh yeah. Thank you for this video. I know I am in for a treat.
Just amazing. So beautiful. Makes you want to appreciate life. Mate, I live in a town called Seymour in Australia. They make awesome pizzas here at a joint called Seymour Pizza and Pasta. Feel like going on a ride on the MV Agusta. Then arrive at the Italian joint and indulge in a book on Philosophy whilst having a delicious pizza! Quality time!
I cannot for the life of me work out people who say oh its my dream bike and oh its so fantastic and proceed to tell you all about it and and how they know so much about it but then only do about 600 miles a year on it. A motorcycle is incomplete unless its ridden. I work on a high end 60yo classic motorcycle brand and see this constantly. I ride one as every day transport and had done for 38 years. I restore and repair these bikes and the owners then take them home and put them in the shed or in the man cave. They then stand around informing all who will listen about what a serious biker they are. Ride the damn things!
Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't help but feel like your comment is directed towards me. If it is, I encourage you to have an open mind. Also I invite you to take a look at my channel. I have 4 motorcycles. ....and this one has been taken to the track and "ridden" as you put it. I choose to keep this particular bike in excellent condition because for me it is not just a motorcycle but a work of art and a timeless design by a deceased artist and icon. Some people buy $10,000 paintings, I chose to buy an MV. You also have to take into consideration that parts for this bike are discontinued and are difficult to source. I don't think it's fair to knock the guys who don't want to put 30,000 miles on their bikes. We all ride for different reasons, and along those lines, it would not be fair for me to say that if people don't go to the track, then they're not real riders or shouldn't buy sport bikes. Thanks for sharing your opinion though, and I do understand your point. Bikes are meant to be ridden. Make no mistake though, this bike has seen a curve or two. ;-)
No, not directed specifically at you in particular because I see the same types with early HDs', Ducatis', Indians', and a whole lot more. I'm working on bikes but months and years later see very very few miles on them. That in the end is the owners choice but when I hear the owners spruking about how serious brand x owners they are then it makes me get steam up. Because I ride every where I get bailed up by all and sundry who invariable say, "gee you don't see these around any more" Grrrr. The last national (my brand) rally we had in Australia I was shocked when my son and I got the award for longest distance ridden to the rally ..... at 140 miles!! The rest were all trailered!! We are about to ride to the National rally again this year and I will bet 90% of the bikes there will be trailered. Then all the people will stand around and most of the people will still have their bikes back home in the shed. I'm putting in about 8,000miles a year on each of my three bikes. I'm no super long distance rider, I REALLY do like riding my bikes. All that said I do like your video on the MV, Its quite informative, there are few if any like it on youtube. Here is a hint though, don't rev it just for the camera. An MV garners attention just being an MV, no need to frivolously rev it. :-)
Noted, on the revving. ;-) I start to get sore at anything over 120-140 miles myself. But then again, my bike choices aren't the best options for distance. As I get older I think I may start looking into bikes that are more tailored to longer days in the saddle. It's nice that you can also share your passion with your son. If my father rode I'd probably ride a lot more too.
LOL. I'm 60you and the bike I have done the most miles on is a quintessential British cafe racer. Clip ons, flat seat, rear sets, five gallon tank. 250 miles and about four hours and a bit at a sitting for the long stuff. Best I have done is 525 miles in 11 1/2 hours. Two fuel stops only, no coffee breaks or toilet stops. That was a push though so in future I will probably stop and "smell the roses" so to speak. Friday I'm off on 4 1/2 hours and 220 miles. One coffee stop.
Great video of a rare, and very beautiful bike. There's quite a few different versions of the F4, but this classic combo of the red and silver has got to be the best, it's jsut so gorgeous and classy! Even better than super expensive Tamburini and CG versions, even though those bikes are covered in super sexy parts. Yours sounds great with that exhaust. Such a unique sounding inline four. Only an Italian four could sound like that, so raunchy and agricultural compared to a Japaneese inline
I remember reading a magazine back in the day wich featured a test with this bike and some others and thinking man this bike looks great. It didn't get the best score but sure the looks were superior. And am not even a bike guy
I've got a couple old magazines laying around. The first Gen MV did quite well actually. Usually 1st or 2nd place depending on the review. The complaint about the bike was often the same --- needs grippier brake pads. In all honesty, grippier pads would help (I run EBCs on mine), but I don't think there is an issue with the braking. The Anti Engine Braking system on this bike is what makes the stopping distances longer and it's hard to wrap your head around it.
Great video. I LOVE MV Agusta machines. Red/Silver is the best color combo. I've been a Ducati guy but I need one of these. I'm looking for an 2000-2001 750. I live in L.A. and there are a few around. Come out to socal and I'll take you up Angeles Crest Highway. Cheers!
beautiful!!! I have an 05 1000 as well but it is nowhere near as clean as yours. I'm eventually going to do a full teardown and rebuild with carbon body panels
The tubular frame is hand made from aluminum and chromoly. I own a Brutale 1000RR and I love my MV, is a great bike. It gives you a feeling no other bike can. The way it trembles, very mechanical. Is a modern F4 without fairing. I love my CBR1000RR but is 150cc scooter compared to the Brutale 1000RR. You need commitment on the MV while on the CBR it does it for you. I have the race kit fitted and it gives the bike 200hp + to the wheel. Sounds like an F1 V8 with the race kit on.
Hi Turbo, I am about to buy a 2006 F4 1000. Any specific items from your point of view that I should look out for? Love your bike man, it looks super clean! Kind regards,
Well, do partially to your videos, as ive said before I cant ride responsibly and always sell my bikes but had been thinking about buying again, and I finally did. About a month ago i picked up an 07 R1, lots of mods, lots of fun, but i noticed I had some good sized chicken strips. Yeah, so I went and bought an 05 GSXR1000 track bike, fully modded, even has sport bike engine build. And two weekends ago i hit the track for two days. What a Fkn blast! Im packing up tomorrow to head back for a monday/tuesday track ride. Signed up again for two days next month as well. I didnt do to bad, first time on track bike, first time in leathers, brand new tires, rode C class saturday, got bumped to A sunday. I see now how you can get a tid bit addicted to the track....LOL....Thanks for the inspiration I cant believe i didnt do it sooner...
I've got a Kwaka zx 10 that would blow this thing into next wk and it's a looker , but this mv is the dogs nuts a true classic and I'm of to my dealer to get one
The newer ZX10Rs are amazing but the gap is closer than you think. The older ZX10Rs there's nothing in it. I'd even argue that the MV is even better than any ZX10R up until 2010.
Hey, im just looking for my first 1000cc, would you suggest me this piece of art instead an Aprilia or an R1. I mean is it as beauty as fun to ride? Maneuvrable and quik in change direction? the other bikes seem more handling. Im from Italy btw, great video.
Someone stopped to talk one day and described the bikes from that era as being that last of the true superbikes. Sports bike sales have been in decline for some time so there won't be that many new ones around
I had the model after this one, the 1000RR with radial Brembos and a full Arrow race system. Man that thing was a beast! Luckily I wrote it off in a low speed crash, before it wrote me off at a high speed one... It was only a matter of time :) Have to say it was the most uncomfortable bike I've ever owned. Turned heads though.
It's definitely uncomfortable around town. On the track though it's actually pretty good. The tight dimensions keep you locked in place through the corners.
I think it's important to adhere to the service manual especially when it comes to valves. They tighten up over time. If a bike has been ridden hard the valves could be tight. A tight exhaust valve runs the risk of not closing before the piston raises in the cylinder, and if they touch -- seized engine.
Your F4 is beautiful! Is the tank metal or plastic? If it is plastic, have you experienced any tank deformity from ethanol? One of these was traded at my local dealer with low mileage and in what appears to be outstanding condition, and the styling is drawing me in. But, I've had two European motorcycles with plastic tanks that deformed due to ethanol and don't want to deal with that again. I think it is a beautiful bike at the bottom of it's depreciation curve and would love to buy a motorcycle that is fun to ride and holds it's value. Thanks for sharing the great video.
Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it. The tank is metal and the airbox is plastic. I've never had a problem with the tank caving in. I typically fill my tank up to the top when the bike will be sitting. You will be very happy with it if you pull the trigger and buy it.
Hello, I’m seriously thinking of buying the same model. It’s been the bike of my dreams for years. Of course it won’t be a daily, but did you have problems with it ? Any regular issues to look after ? Thanks a lot !
I’ve never had problems with mine although there can be a few things to look out for. 1) bike runs hot - look into waterpump upgrade 2) rear wheel hubs tend to fail. Avoid pressure washing and over torquing. Many replace these with aftermarket units as a precaution. 3) keep the gas tank full during winter storage. Some fuel tanks have collapsed from a vacuum effect. Rare but it has happened. 4) rear brake is useless and needs to be bled frequently. 5) 05-06 models have EBS relays which go bad every few years. Buy spares, or relocate it closer to the fairing opening for better cooling. There is a way to bypass it as well. Check the MV forum for guidance as I never did that mod. When the EBS relay goes bad the bike runs off of 2 or 3 cylinders. These are the main issues. Otherwise it’s a fantastic collector piece.
Beautiful bike, a special bike not appreciated by enough people. Let's keep it that way
I agree!
Thx ditto
I owned one of the first ones back in 2000, I owned it for 13 years.
Then my son bought one of his own when he was 18, he still has it now he is 25.

That’s awesome!
Dude Mungus 😳👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Can't get enough of this video. It a freaking gorgeous bike I keep mine inside my house contrasting against a black wall in my living room.
I'm glad you enjoyed the content.
Yeah, they're marvellous for that, pity it couldn't sit on your mantlepiece or in a display cabinet, whatever you do don't fking ride it, lmfao.
Fkmehardy what on earth are you on about???
EazyRyder Moto 😬👍🇺🇸
If I had this bike in my living room the TV wouldn't get switched on very often.
Thanks for making this video. Your bike is so clean, you obviously truly care about it. This is my favourite motorcycle of all time, and I hope to obtain one of my own sometime.
One of the most beautiful bikes ever made, successor to the Ducati 916.
I want one.
Well that start up, put a smile on my face. 2 wheel art.
I didn't forget it, I just bought one.

Just got me a 2001 f4 750s from my co-worker. Unlike any other bike I've ever ridden. Underrated and super rare! Yours looks fantastic!
Thanks man! Congrats on your '01. They are timeless bikes!
Forgotten but not too much for fans. Amazing machine, congrats!
Thanks for the video, ive been looking to buy one of these. Literally one of my dream bikes, love the design and the sound! Keep it up!
Thanks Josh. When you find one, if you have questions feel free to reach out.
Beautifully maintained. Really great example. I wouldn't wanna sell either!

You can do it Thomas, I first learned about MV when I was 19. Ended up getting one at 26yo. Dreams come true. Just work smart and be persistent.
@@Turbo329 thanks for the wise words bro, hope you're right cause it would be amazing to have such a piece of art (that's also fast asf)!

Funny thing, the bodywork on this bike is a '10 footer'. I have mint spares boxed up.
What a stunning bike, a beast, MV Agusta F4 1000, an Italian masterpiece 🇮🇹🏁
Very informative video of a beautiful bike hardly anyone talks about.
Thank you Pedro.
very clean.. love it! thumbs up!

Those stock rims? If so Kawasaki's a thief lol
Yep! Those are stock and Kawasaki 'borrowed' from MV Agusta. Even the mighty Japanese must kneel to the great Massimo Tamburini. lol
great observation!!
lol
They kinda look like Honda's CB 1000 too with that single sided swingarm and everything
Timeless!
I really like the idea of a 750. Wow.
Beautiful bike 👌
Thanks Charlie
I'm not a fan of bikes that have a really low throaty sound like the r1. But when you revved the bike... Wow!! It sounds amazing!!
Thanks Casey. It's got that hint of exotica with that banshee wail of an inline 4.
+Turbo329 haha
it does!
Still a great looking design.
There’s one of these rolling around Regina, Saskatchewan...in 2021 seeing as all these comments are old

Just bought a 2005 with only 2500 miles from an estate collection in NJ. Any F4 meetups on the east coast?
Hey, im just looking for my first 1000cc, would you suggest me this piece of art instead an Aprilia or an R1. I mean is it as beauty as fun to ride? Maneuvrable and quik in change direction? the other bikes seem more handling.
Im from Italy btw, great video.
For your first 1000cc I would get something cheap to fix unless you have deep pockets. An MV is a great bike but not meant to be a ‘daily’.
Someone stopped to talk one day and described the bikes from that era as being that last of the true superbikes. Sports bike sales have been in decline for some time so there won't be that many new ones around
It’s so sad too. The bikes from 2001-2009 had some serious steam.
Amazing bike hope it’s still in good condition
Yep, except for possibly a dead battery. Hahaha
The adjustable gear and brake footpegs for one put it in another department. Beautiful motorcycle!
What is the maintenance schedule like? Japanese-like long intervals or Italian-like short intervals?
The maintenance has been Japanese-like. Not like the Ducatis that needed frequent rocker arm check ups and valve adjustments.
Is that because you dont ride it that much though? Local dealer has one and im thinking of commuting 60miles/day on it for a couple of months
most beautiful bike....ever. fact
Just purchased one, what type of fender eliminator kit do you have? Do you have integrated taillights? Your setup looks clean, want the same.
I will have to research this for you. I did my mods over 10 years ago. Design Corse sells some neat stuff for these bikes. Check them out.
Hi how important is it to do valve check at 12k kms? Can we skip it till 24k ? I m thinking of getting a 2006? Is it good. Cheers
I think it's important to adhere to the service manual especially when it comes to valves. They tighten up over time. If a bike has been ridden hard the valves could be tight. A tight exhaust valve runs the risk of not closing before the piston raises in the cylinder, and if they touch -- seized engine.
Niiiice!
She's beautiful. Might have obtained a 06 nero same bike i believe just different paint
The Nero is beautiful as well in that Matte finish. Good catch.
I'll have my f4 in 4 weeks 😁 can't wait.
@@RichyMonaco congrats!
I’ll be in Brooklyn today dude
You will be very happy with it if you pull the trigger and buy it.
love love love
Thanks
Hello, I’m seriously thinking of buying the same model. It’s been the bike of my dreams for years. Of course it won’t be a daily, but did you have problems with it ? Any regular issues to look after ? Thanks a lot !
I’ve never had problems with mine although there can be a few things to look out for.
1) bike runs hot - look into waterpump upgrade
2) rear wheel hubs tend to fail.
@@Turbo329 thank you very much for all you answers ! Ride safe ✌️
